So I almost gave this amazing establishment 5 stars The only reason why I didn’t give it a full five stars is not because I did not enjoy the food. Food was amazing! Pizza was great (meat lovers). A little too greasy but I don’t mind folding my pizza and draining it off… We got some chicken fingers as appetizers! Guess what?! Ranch and honey is an amazing combination. If I had more room I would have eaten the short rib grilled cheese but there is a bottom to my stomach after all. What took away from the 5 stars and what may help me revise my review to 5 stars later was the service. Not good Almost decent Just needed a little more attentiveness. Just a bit more. Maybe they were busy… all good. Would 100% come back I’ll see you soon short rib grilled cheese sandwich!

This past weekend, we had our daughters wedding & reception in The Barn room, which was magical! Melissa was very responsive and accommodating; she made the whole process go smoothly. The food was delicious and the staff outstanding!!! All of our guests were very impressed. We can't wait to go back!

I recently visited a charming establishment that impressed me with its delightful atmosphere, delicious food, and fantastic drinks. The aesthetic of the place was truly pleasing, creating a pleasant dining experience. I decided to order the salmon BLT, and it turned out to be a real treat. The flavors were well-balanced, and every bite was satisfying. To accompany my meal, I chose the Gin and Pear cocktail, and I must admit, I lost count after having four of them. The drink was refreshing and had the perfect blend of flavors. All in all, my experience at this place was exceptional. The ambiance, the quality of the food, and the creativity behind the drinks were all top-notch. I can confidently say that I will be returning in the future to enjoy more of their offerings. If you're searching for a spot that offers great food and delicious drinks in a lovely setting, I highly recommend giving this place a visit.

First time at the Borrow House and liked it. The staff was super friendly and attentive. The buffalo wing are perfectly cooked. Crispy but moist inside. The short rib tacos are good but missing a little extra touch. The borrow burger was good but came a little over cooked even though we ordered medium. The fries have a little seasoning and I prefer natural skinny fries. Cocktails were good. This a good place for casual dining. Brunch is very good. I liked the cornbread and eggs Benedict. I also ordered the French toast and it was a little dry. I think it should be soaked in the batter for a little longer.

I've been here twice now and enjoyed both experiences. I came once for happy hour and a second time for brunch. One time I had reservations and the other I did not but was seated immediately during both occasions. Staff was friendly. Max was our server both times and did an excellent job being attentive and friendly. Happy hour snacks were good. The brunch burger and tea sandwich board were excellent from the Alice in Wonderland pop up. My husband and I will definitely return.

Fabulous environment, experience and food. The place has great old school ambience with many tables and rooms. It's spacious inside and can host a separate group of people too. Drinks- They have amazing cocktails as well as beer selections. Appetizers- We tried corn bread and shishito peppers and both were super delicious. Entre- Being vegetarian I ordered cauliflower tacos and my husband ordered salmon. Both were good. Cauliflower tacos were little dry for my taste but quantity was sufficient. Highly recommend this place for date nights, birthdays. Friends gathering etc.

The atmosphere at this location is really cool and really well done. However, I was a little bit disappointed with the food and service being a tad bit slow out of the party of five. I was in three of us ordered the noodles, I ordered the cauliflower and the fifth person ordered the steak with mashed potatoes, the steak was by far the best dish. Unfortunately, the noodles had grilled chicken on top and the chicken on all three of the bowls did not appear well cooked all the way through the inside. The crispy cauliflower was a tad bit spicy but if you like that, that’s great. We all split the banana bread pudding with some ice cream for dessert.

The Barrow House was a delight. Very unique and inviting atmosphere. Our waiter Enrique was fantastic. Cornbread appetizer was moist and yummy. Hubs had the Barrow House Burger that he polished off quickly, I had the short ribs. Best short ribs I've ever had. Milk and Cookie desert was ok. 9/10 recommend.

Brunch is great but the drinks are the phenomenal! Very creative cocktails using various aperitivos, which is not something we see very often. Props to the mixologist.

The Barn was the perfect venue for our rehearsal dinner of approximately 40 people, and the family-style food and beverage package was well received by our guests of all ages and backgrounds! Plus the wait staff was incredibly attentive, friendly, and efficiently delivered each course in a timely manner. We know how the kitchen can determine the pacing of an event, and we greatly appreciate their efforts as well. Overall, we could not be more happy with our experience and highly recommend the Barrow House for your next hosting event!

Food was delicious, recommend the French dip. Mimosas could have used a little meow orange juice, personally. Service was great, and cute atmosphere!

A huge thank you to Melissa Ortez and the entire staff at The Barrow House for hosting our wedding reception cocktail-hour followed by a three course plated dinner in the Barn. They completely blew us away with their attention to detail, level of expertise, professionalism, service and day-of dining experience. Not only was the food delicious, it was stunningly presented and our guests raved!.. especially over unique offerings like their grilled-cheese shooters and NY Strip steak! The drink options were diverse and top shelf, ranging from a robust selection of local craft beers on tap to the Barrow’s handcrafted specialty cocktails. The Barrows’s bar specialist, Jess, helped us select two wine pairings to compliment our menu options. The staff was upbeat, polite and attentive in a way that felt like family! Throughout the many months leading up to the event, Melissa was calm, prepared and warm in her communication. She made vendor recommendations, floor-plan suggestions and tasting appointments. Melissa and the staff accommodated us a day ahead to drop off boxes of decor and supplies, including an 8ft backdrop for our florist. We can’t wait to visit again and again, bringing friends and family back with us to enjoy the drinks, food and rustic atmosphere. We highly recommended The Barrow House for your micro-wedding or any event! Very nice place to eat and have a relaxing time. Place is not loud and we didn't encounter any obnoxious people. That can ruin a place for me. Made a reservation, went in and was seated right away. We went on a Thursday night 8pm. Dont know if i needed to make a reservation because it wasn't crazy busy. Our waitress was really nice and checked up on us often. She recommended items for us and always had a nice welcoming smile on her face. Farmhouse style restaurant is nice for pictures if you like to post on social media. It's a little on the dark side for decent pics without a flash. It's like having a candle light dinner which is nice though. Drinks were good and were out quickly. Entrees came out within 15min or so. Eventhough my food was good, I left a little hungry and finished my plate fast lol. The reason I took away 1 star is because it was a little pricey and on my particular dish,(filet mignon) I didn't get enough bang for the buck. Would like to go back again and try some different dishes I had my eye on.

We had our wedding reception at The Barrow House and it was such a wonderful experience. The event coordinator, Melissa, was fantastic - professional, knowledgeable, and full of great ideas. The whole process of planning the event was seamless and without Melissa's efforts none of it would have been possible! The food on the big day was wonderful, cocktails delicious, and the staff went above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome and taken care of. If you are interested in having a private event for a special occasion, we could not recommend The Barrow House more highly. Thank you Melissa & team!

Went here for the first time yesterday, absolutely amazing food and drinks. They have a great selection of drinks. Went with a few friends, but the place is great for a date as well. Enrique, our server, was exceptional and was tentative to all of our needs. They had plenty of options but only a few vegetarian entree options. However, I got the vegetable linguini and it was phenomenal. I would definitely recommend this place. Definitely coming here again!

Had a nice lunch date & our server Maris was great! We sat outside and had the corn bread as an app...so delicious - it's the honey butter for me! We also ordered wings that were flavorful and crispy, and the margherita pie - the dough was perfectly cooked.

Came here with my mom and sister and everything we ordered was AMAZING! The sticky shrimp, anything with short rib and the banana bread pudding was simply incredible. The drink menu was absolutely delicious and we wanted to spike some of the mocktails and Alex had AWESOME recs! Definitely try the lavender mocktail and ask for a shot of bounty rum in it! 10/10 will be back!

Great vibes, food and drinks. Their fried chicken sandwich was really good. The outer coating was very crispy and the chicken was huge. Fries were good too. I tried their steel magnolia cocktail which was strong and fruity. Highly recommend!

This country, rustic bar/restaurant is so warm and welcoming. Its unique decor invites you get comfortable, and the staff is so friendly and polite that you want to stay a while.... the specialty drinks were delicious as were the appetizers we had at the bar. Looking forward to a next visit that will definitely include dinner.

This is one of the most well known and popular restaurants in Clifton, NJ area, unique for it’s farm house style establishment and esthetic interior. We gave it try on a Sunday evening, and were lucky to a table w/o reservation, it was packed in there. They have a decent menu with good variety of items. We liked the deviled eggs, Mac & cheese from starters. But in entrees, it was disappointing. Pasta was okay, but Po’boy was needs some improvement. The bread was too big and thick, toasted w/o any flavor like butter or such. The shrimp was fried too, which kinda made the combo worse. Despite the food, I throughly enjoyed their interior. The people at the front and serving, all were kind and friendly to us.

Fabulous experience! From the moment we were seated, the warm quaint feeling and experience of this establishment has us in anticipation of our next future visit! The atmosphere is an awesome warm feeling of being at a lodge in the colonial times. Our waiter Brandon was excellent and a Craftsman at his trade. The food was top-notch including the entrees and desserts! We will definitely be back and it is worthy of all five stars!
