If you love birds then absolutely make a small stop to see the hummingbirds. However the entrance is now 20000 COP for a small 30m path lined with numerous feeding stations and flowers where everybody presses their camera in each other's faces to capture a good photo. Entrance does include a mediocre 'hot' drink and some cheese.

Not bad. Probably not worth the 15k pesos for most. If you have seen hummingbirds (colibríes) anywhere else, you might as well skip it. One point I have to add though, you can see 3 different types of hummingbirds, fairly easily here.

They write that they engage in protecting the environment, however they don't really convey they message by handing out a hot drink and taking 20000 cop from the people. I hoped to get some explanations about the hummingbird project but the team did not feel like interacting at all.

I wouldn't call this a reserve and it's not worth a detour. The good thing is that you get a cold/hot drink and some cheese with the entrance fee. You get to see some colibris but not as much as I had imagined.

A beautiful place to connect with nature and delight in the flight of hummingbirds and the singing of birds!

Very nice nature reserve, a paradise for the responsible trail

One of the most amazing places we have seen in Colombia. Unfortunately we didn’t plan enough time, so we only had one day here. Make sure to do the bigger round walk and visit the bird house

I agree with someone else's review - it's ok here. You get to see some hummingbirds and they give you a cup of coffee or a hot chocolate. The amount of hummingbirds is about 10-12, so if you've seen them before you could skip this. I think if you're doing this as part of the trek it adds 2+ km and some of the parts are very, very muddy and slippery. I would have thought that the owners would have put down some wooden planks, especially with the high entry price of 15000 (which they say is a donation, but there is someone at the door who doesn't let you pass until you pay)

It's fine, we saw the hummingbirds and got a nice cup of hot chocolate. However, after a long hike already (we did the whole 12km loop) it was a bit much - quite steep and muddy. I have read someone's blog beforehand and it said "if you haven't seen hummingbirds, then go for it, otherwise don't bother" and that resonates with me - I couldn't agree more.

The trail is very good, but it is not worth going up to the Hummingbird House. It is not a special place.

Best to hire a guide for this one otherwise the significance of the area will be lost on you. The hanging bridges are fun, if not a little precarious. Scenery is amazing and varied, from wax palms to cascades and a heavy dose of incredible mountains as you get to the top. We did the full trek walking anti clockwise which I think is the way to go. Best to get to the top in the afternoon as it's generally less cloudy. Hummingbird sanctuary is fun and a good place to rest but I wouldn't say it's a necessity. No toilets on route (there's one at the sanctuary but paper isn't provided) so pack accordingly.

They are so nice. I loved watching the hummingbirds. You can even get close to them. Nice little rest-stop while day hiking

Quite an uphill, long detour from the Corcora Valley trail to get to this tiny little bird sanctuary. You pay a small fee (couple dollars) at the entrance and that includes hot chocolate (with a chunk of local cheese in it - so interesting!) with a little open air seating area nestled in the side of the jungle, and all the pics u can get of the fabulous hummingbirds. If you're short on time, I'd say skip it - not a must-see, imo. The birds were so cute and pretty though. But not very many of them.

Such a great experience to walk through the forest and get to that Natural reserve, you get the lovely opportunity to see the colibríes and some other species of birds.

It's not really worth paying 20,000COP

It is no longer possible to spend the night here. Just want to get that information out there since a few years ago they offered lodging. It’s 20,000 COP to watch the hummingbirds and have a warm drink with cheese. I don’t think that’s a bad price considering many other places with hummingbird feeders charge the same amount and don’t even provide a drink.

The birds are nice, and it adds to the experience of the hike, but as others have mentioned, the price doesn't match the experience, and to add to that when we arrived, the owners were blasting reggaeton, in the middle of the rainforest - completely ruining the ambience. Calling themselves a nature reserve is a joke.

This is not a nature reserve. It is a tourist trap. All they have done is put up two little pots of food to attract some birds.... And they call themselves a nature reserve....!? What a joke It is also a MASSIVE uphill detour from the path

Wouldn't recommend they ask 20.000pesos per person and all they offer is a mediocre drink. Felt ripped off.

👍👍 Very cool experience. I would recommend the long walk route. However you need to know that a lot of this way if flooded. You literally walking on water. No other choice. And get dressed well as on the top is a bit chilly. Amazing experience.

👍👍 Personalmente me gusta éste lugar, su valor para entrar es $15 mil, es mucho más grande que los demás miradores, hay mucho más espacio para caminar y disfrutar, la entrada está caminando hacia el fondo
