Amazing beauty and an oasis of life. This is just wonderful depiction of the beauty that nature offers beyond words. Fresh breeze slapping over your face while your soul is enveloped by tranquility. A place to pause, to think that there is more to life than just living..

Without exaggeration, it’s the most wonderful nature place I have ever been to. Cabo da Roca is the most western point of Europe. The cliffs meet the Atlantic Ocean, the Ocean flows into the sky, and the sky touches you with a silky smog. It’s the perfect place to gaze the marine landscape and sun dawn. Hiking, doing yoga, meditating, and breathing with a full chest, that are just a part of experience you can have there. Moreover, there is place to park your motor home and spend some days with the view of the end of the world.

Great view from the most western Europe point. We came here during not such a good weather, but had a luck that the sun arrived just on the sunset. It is accessible by a car. There is a lot of free parking space.

Beautiful and windy cliff side. Great views and scenery. Guy was playing trombone and it fit the vibe haha. Got to capture great drone footage as well. Nice cafe with some options and pastries.

Just amazing!! The western part of Europe. The view and the vibes are super..must see. The nice walk and the beach can be reach from the main Street, with a trail on the right.

Cape Roca is a hidden gem tucked away in the stunning landscape of Portugal. It is the westernmost point of Europe and offers a breathtaking escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The rugged cliffs and pristine beaches make it an ideal destination for nature lovers and adventure seekers. As I stood on the cliffs, gazing out at the endless expanse of the Atlantic Ocean, I felt a sense of peace and freedom wash over me. The beauty of Cape Roca is truly mesmerizing, with its towering cliffs and crashing waves. The lighthouse, perched on the edge of the cliffs, adds to the charm of the place.

Really beautiful area at the western most edge of Europe. There's a small monument along with a couple buildings and shops near by. The trails near by are short but the views are beautiful. Taking in the view is peaceful because it makes you feel so small compared to the earth as a whole. It was peaceful. I recommend making the trip - it's not too far out of the way

Breathtaking view! Drop in on a cloud Sunday of July but we didn't regret at all. Spending time contemplating the ocean and the horizontal line reminded us how tiny humans are... By the way, it's a bit rocky, so to fully discover and for your safety, flipflops and sandals ain't recommended :')

The end of the world, or at least the European continent is absolutely worth a visit. Of course the views are spectacular, but it also has a nice cafe, gift shop with an amazing wine selection, and tours. We were lucky to have a traveling guitar player serenading us while we were there. We visited during a national holiday (republic day, October 5) so it was very busy and parking was full, but many people parked along the road in and enjoyed the scenery walking up to the monument and lighthouse. The site is fairly wheelchair accessible, but there were some places we just could not go. Note: The bathroom in the restaurant is controlled by a turnstile and requires a ticket 🤔

The most western spot in mainland Europe. Very scenographic trails along the coast and down to the beach. Not too challenging. Nice panorama from the monument with accessible parking and a bar for refreshments. Toilets are not free to use (€ 0.50)

It is one of the best activities to do in portugal. This is the westernmost and most extreme point of Europe. You should come to this place, which has a coast on the Atlantic Ocean, to watch the sunset in the evening. I watched the sunset in many touristic places in the world, but this was an unforgettable experience. Everyone who comes to Portugal should definitely come to this amazing place.

One of the greatest places I've seen ☺️ the ocean was so big and the feeling of being there was so overwhelming it brought tears to my eyes. If fed my soul, it was like I was greate as well just being there 😍 the field from the cliff we were standing was so green and full of flowers and the way the water hit the rocks below us made me mesmerized... It was nice to be at "the end of the world" 🔝

A must see; must visit place. Easily accessible with any form of vehicle, but might get crowded during holiday season. There are beautiful views to be found and some great hikes for the energetic. Pack a picnic and enjoy a day out. There's a gift shop and toilets in the area. On a clear day you can see for kilometers. With the blue sky and ocean, get ready for beautiful pictures (no filters needed), making memories.

How often can you say that you were standing at the westernmost point in Europe! Beautiful views over the cliffs, and of the lighthouse. Would be a spectacular sight at sunset. Many trails to walk. Some traffic, but was able to find parking. Was not able to go inside the lighthouse.

The sun-kissed sand glistened in the golden hour as the gentle waves caressed the shore, offering a picturesque and serene view of the endless, crystal clear ocean ahead. The ocean breeze carried the faint scent of coconut and sunscreen, as seagulls soared gracefully above, their calls echoing through the salty air. The vibrant hues of the setting sun painted the sky in a stunning array of oranges, pinks, and purples, casting a warm and peaceful glow over the entire beach. The sound of laughter and playful chatter filled the air as families and friends enjoyed the beauty and tranquility of the idyllic seaside setting.

Nature will always be the best show in town. Only a 45 minute trip from Lisbon, and you get to this beautiful sight. I could stay there forever, just watching the waves hittig the cliff, enjoying the breeze. If you're visiting Portugal, don't miss this place. I got there just before sunset. The colors were beautiful.

Tap tap 👍 Most iconic place in the world. And now I understand why. It’s really made you speechless when you see this powerfully ocean waves and monumental rocks! Maybe one of the best place to meditate or just thinking about matter of life. Better to come early in the morning when less tourists. Or go to hills to better view. It’s only takes you 15-20 minutes of walk to unite with nature with amazing view

Cabo do Roca is a must-visit spot in Portugal with stunning sunset views. The awe-inspiring scenery is a perfect blend of sea, sky, and rugged cliffs. It's a great place to unwind and take in the beauty of nature. Highly recommend visiting!

Amazing place. Wind is super strong over there. So be careful if you're wearing hats or even with small kids. Believe me, the wind is strong enough to push a 100kg person forward.

Breathtaking views! I was unaware that this is the western extreme of the continent, which is an added element to the serenity & beauty drenched scenery of this gorgeous location. I suggest parking in the free lot at Cabo Da Roca (toilet available there costs .50€) and walking around the premises & then up the street & on the many paths around the cliffs just to the north. Most of the pics & videos I’m posting in this review come from there.

One of the most beautiful places in Portugal we have been so far! You should reserve at least 1 hour for photos and contemplation of views. For us, it was almost 3 hours ;) We ware at Sunday in July about 4pm and we didn't have big problems with parking place, but it was a bit crowdy. To shoot really good photos probably better to go out of the season (what we will definitely do in the future).

Cabo da Roca. A great place where Europe ends and the Atlantic Ocean begins. Beautiful views, landscape and cliffs. A lighthouse and a certification point for reaching the end of Europe. I recommend seeing this place. Amazing impressions. There is also a restaurant where you can eat tasty. 🤩😍😀

Amazing! A must visit if you're in the area. Absolutely stunning. I advise walking around a bit and not only seeing the famous spot near the lighthouse. There are a lot of cool places and small wild beaches with no people!

Walk to the north path definitely worth! Nice and very quiet beaches accessible down the path.

  • 5/5 Hu G. 7 months ago on Google
Great place for small hikes, with nice views. It gets very windy there, so taking a jacket with you makes sense. Also good shoes are recommended, if you want to go for a walk in the surroundings, because the small paths are rocky and sometimes it gets a bit steep.

  • 5/5 doodo535 2 years ago on Google
It's very beautiful and a fun place for hiking. You also have a veach nearby with rocks in a shape of a bear!

  • 5/5 Carina M. 2 years ago on Google
You have a very nice view of high cliffs by the sea. It's very windy, so you can dress a little warmer. A man has been selling delicious roasted chestnuts on a corner, highly recommended.

  • 5/5 Jenny l. 2 years ago on Google
Ideal for sunsets but caution: very very windy. Take a jacket or a blanket.. bring your own drinks and food cause there is nothing close (its not like cabo s vicente).. the village is very small and cute - and there are quite a few cute restaurants.. worth it!

  • 5/5 Ana O. 4 months ago on Google
The most western point of continental Europe. There is a lighthouse, stunning views of the ocean, a restaurant and gift shop. Beautiful scenario any time of day which turns amazing during sunset.

  • 5/5 Jeff E. 4 months ago on Google
Not surprisingly, the views here are magnificent. We only spent a few minutes here as we had a long day before this with kids and needed to get home. If I had the chance, I would have happily explored the area as there are several trails to hike in the area. If you do, be cautious as there are steep drop offs and cliffs all over. Also, there's not much else here other than a small café and a tourism office.

  • 5/5 Kelli C. 4 months ago on Google
Beautiful spot, definitely a quick visit place. There is a little restaurant/gift shop but I didn’t go in. Great photo opportunities and nice walking paths. There’s rails marking safe areas but there’s always those few walking right past them. Plan an hour, or bring picnic and walk one of the trails and have lunch with an amazing view.

  • 5/5 Nina R. 8 months ago on Google
Breathtaking place. Fortunately, there were not that many people on the day I visited Cabo da Roca. Comfortable buses from both Sintra/Cascais are available (1624), so it’s quite easy to get there on your own. It’s so windy, don’t forget to bring your jacket even during the summer.

  • 5/5 Ramesh D. 2 years ago on Google
This is a beautiful place. Best time to visit is during sunny weather. Was planning to fly the drone but the conditions weren't favourable due to heavy wind. There are trails available for walking. Beware of snakes! Yes there are snakes here so take extra care. I came across a fresh snake skin. Didn't not see any stores so carry your own food and water. Although there is a bus available (bus # 403) having your own transport would be better in case if you are planning to spend more time.

  • 5/5 Anna K. 8 months ago on Google
Worth visiting, not only to see the lighthouse but also to walk around the cliffs. There is a small path which you can take off the main road and also hike down to the beach.

  • 5/5 D W. 8 months ago on Google
Beautiful spot, most western point of Europe. There is a parking area on top of the hill, but during peak hours surely gets full. The bus nr 1624 goes there directly too. There is also a public WC in the tourist center. Take some warm clothing as it’s pretty windy there at times ;) Stunning views included!

  • 5/5 Paola M. 1 year ago on Google
Beautiful scenery, gorgeous views and also facilities to enjoy some snacks or a drink. There is small shop and if you buy from it stuff they provide you with receipt to use the bathroom for free. Otherwise you have to pay 50 cents. Also, at the information center you can get a Certificate for visiting the most Western point of Europe. The price is 11€

The westernmost point of continental Europe. It is a must do if you are in the area. You’ll have a very nice cliff panorama and also some footpath for hiking. The old lighthouse and the monument will nicely complete you photo portfolio. It’s quite easy to be accessed from Sintra or Cascais.

  • 5/5 Renee L. 9 months ago on Google
As a curious human being, to visit the end of each continent is always on my to do list every time I travel. Just imagine, how hard this could be one hundred or even fifty years ago to reach. You will be thrilled to feel yourself the vast Atlantic Ocean and the red beacon when you come here. All the effort on driving through Sintra would worth it. Plenty of parking space and would be a perfect location to view the sunset.

  • 4/5 Jana K. 2 years ago on Google
Very nice view. The biggest point here is that this is the Western point of continental Europe. You can't stay for a long time here. It's very windy and after some time it will get to your nerves. Besides pictures there is really not much to do. I would categorized this place as must-see place, but with just couple of minutes stay. Loose your hair and get some cool pictures in the wind!

  • 5/5 Collins 11 months ago on Google
Beautiful spot! Highly recommend to spend a few hours here and walk around the green areas abit further away from the lighthouse. Magnificent views and very windy! I enjoyed the visit thoroughly and had an amazing time there in the warm sun. There is a cafe and toilet there. You can get a souvenir of a certificate too!

There is simply no reason not to visit the westernmost point of Europe while you have the time and stay in the area. The lighthouse is scenic and there are wonderful views over the region with some stunning rock formations. It is worthwhile to walk for 15 minutes along the trail in the northern direction to see even more beautiful cliffs. If you are really adventurous you can even walk further and access the beaches via a steep dirt trail. When I visited on a sunny day in December there were quite some other tourists, but not so many that it was disturbing. There was also a musician performing live. The Cape is well-accessible by car with parking available on the spot, and also by bus from Cascais. I travelled here by bicycle from Lisbon, but that took the entire day and is only recommended for experienced cyclists who are well prepared for the trip

A tourist heavy spot with stunning views of the coastline and featuring the western most point of Continental Europe. Definitely worth the trek to capture some great photos. Easily accessible by bus as well!

  • 5/5 Ken W. 2 years ago on Google
The Western most point of continental Europe with amazing views of the Atlantic and the surrounding picturesque villages, as well as a historic lighthouse. There's also a small cafe and giftshop in the same parking lot plus a number of hiking trails.

  • 5/5 Vlad K. 1 year ago on Google
Amazing place with its own undescribable atmosphere. You see the sun setting down somewhere deep in the ocean, that breathtaking view of rocks and cold wind from the unknown. Highly recommend. At the place you can find parking lot, shop and a restaurant, bus stop (including, but not limited to City Sightseeing Bus from Lisbon).p
