Absolutely breathtaking and spectacular views. This should definitely figure on your bucket list. We did not have time to linger and the weather was iffy unfortunately. Be careful if using a supplied GPS, ours tried to guide us up a mountain goat trail while visiting the fishing port below! Stick to the main roads, use Google maps, and a paper map is quite a useful supplement as well.

Very nice little village with a breathtaking view on the Ocean. Worth a quick stop on your trip. There is a convenient free parking on the road to the village. You can swim in the natural swimming pool at the beach. Bring a wind jacket as it is pretty windy.

After visiting Cabo da Roca, we stopped here for a quick walk and it was just magical. It helped that it was the golden hour, which offered excellent views of the sea, the village on top of the cliff and the sea water pool below. Easy to reach and there are good steps and trails to get to both sides of the opening. Highly recommend for a peaceful walk!

5 stars because of the view. For sunbathing and swimming we chose another place as there were too many people and not long beach. There is also like a natural pool if you want to swim without waves it could be a solution. There are toilets in the cafe and restaurant.

Incredible place, waves crushing against the man-made levy make for great photography and the incredible scenery around just makes you want to hug this amazing planet of ours.

What a great place to enjoy the sun and the sea! Beware that the beach may not be open. Last time I was there there was no sand for people to lay down a towel, it was full of rocks. Make if you want to enjoy the beach make sure you go during the beach season. Otherwise, if you just want to enjoy the view, it's 100% worth it. What a great view!

This is a magical place. We visited to watch the sun go down and it was spectacular. The tide was high, waves crashing up on the rocks with theatrical splashes. And as the night approached, as the tide went out, calm beauty greeted our cocktails and relaxed vibe. The drinks are alright - caparhinas were syrupy, gin and tonics were great. Food is limited, but serviceable (toasted sandwiches and wraps). Up above is a far nicer seafood restaurant for the good stuff. Once the sun went down, a DJ and djembe player set a party backdrop for people dancing and chatting the night away.

Beautiful, hidden spot for people that know the place. Otherwise you pass by.

Praia Grande is amazing. It is 40 min walking distance. The rocks there are amazing!

Amazing place! One of the best ocean view in Sintra. A natural stone pool with a sandy bottom, with warm (relatively) water. Cozy bar near the beach with live music.

This place is just amazing! The restaurant was under renovation, but the bar at the natural pool was open! We enjoyed a nice drink with an amazing view.

It's a beautiful place to spend a day on a beach, to enjoy the breathtaking views and to dine in one of the local restaurants.

Arriving in this place is always so cheerful this small village perched on the rock, remember Greece very much, the beaches are beautiful but be careful to go swim only when the sea is calm because it could be a bit dangerous

Beautiful location to see. View from southern hill is very beautifull. You can go steps down to the basin and have a drink or eat in the restaurant. We only had a drink. Is is small, so only when you are in the neighbourhood, you go there.

😠 Please don’t waste your time or money. $30 for 4 people to taste half a glass of wine each. Very poor service and explanation. We tasted a €5 wine that was dismal at best. Do yourself a great favor and go somewhere else that produces respectable wine…..

👍👍 This beach is between Praia Grande and Praia das Macas. Access is easy but it is not a guarded beach. Good for surfing and one of the few beaches dogs can take during the bathing season. Depending on the years, at high tide you can almost run out of sand. Scenographically very beautiful, especially...
