Im Belgischen Haus befindet sich die Interims-Stätte des RGM, so lange das ursprüngliche Gebäude am Roncalliplatz renoviert wird (die Arbeiten dürften laut Auskunft an der Infotheke noch mindestens 5-6 Jahre dauern, zum Zeitpunkt der Rezension ist es April 2022). Eine verständlicherweise reduzierte Auswahl an Exponaten ist dort sehr komprimiert ausgestellt. Für einen 'schnellen' Rundgang ist dieses Museum insofern ideal. Besondere Stücke der berühmten Glassammlung stehen im oberen Geschoss im Vordergrund. Speziell das im Foto gezeigte Diatret-Glas, welches eines der top Ausstellungsstücke sowohl aufgrund der hohen handwerklichen Kunstfertigkeit als auch der Seltenheit ist, nimmt das Zentrum des Raumes ein. Hinweis: aus Platzgründen finden Sonderausstellungen im direkt gegenüber liegenden Wallraff-Richartz-Museum statt, so auch die am 29.04.2022 startende Ausstellung 'Roms fließende Grenzen'.

Lovely but just tiny in comparison to the original museum. The Roman-German Museum has been closed for years now and this small option is small and sad.

In the absence of the actual Roman museum (closed for renovation) this was excellent. The artefacts were magnificent but the glassware was exquisite. It added to my (amateur) knowledge very much.

Great temporary exhibition, I visited the museum on its normal location by the dom! This is much smaller offcourse, but cool they do something meanwhile renovations are going on at the other museum! Nice to pass by!

The Römisch-Germanishes Museum was great. Outside this museum there is not much left in Kõln of the old roman presence. This is the best way to see how the locals lived here 2000 years ago.

For the moment (june 2023) it hosts Romanische Germanic museum. Nor good nor bad, maybe high ticket for the small exposition compared to other museums

Here because the Roman museum is temporarily housed here. Excellent museum, though would be easy to walk past if not searching it out. Cologne has an amazing place in ancient Rome's history. Good to know that the old massive museum near the Dom is being renovated, I had thought this move was permanent! Anyway, worth a visit now.

Absolutely to see the Roman Museum with the best world collection of roman glass. Very kind peopke which arrange few times per months some special visit, usually in german.

For 6 euros was very interesting. Can't wait for the regular museum to be open. You will spend about one hour here.

it very intresting historical building ther is smal expozition of museum for the moment but if you intrested in romen time it right place for you ) it also before was belong to belgium goverment in that building was officer club and hotel and concert hall ! sadly after fair officer club was lost and hotel us well but oncert hall stil function time to time ther is concert it look autentink us before also sters with merable and some part of decor in the building oridinal very intresting look telephone cabins what look like smart privaterooms it nice that building renovat and keep original stiling

Während der Renovierung des Römische-Germanischen Museum sind Teile der Ausstellung hierhin ausgelagert. Klein und übersichtlich, aber auch ein interessanter Einblick in die römische Geschichte von Köln. Eintritt für Erwachsene 6 Euro.

Es war das erste Mal, dass wir an diesem Ort waren. Dort besuchten wir ein großartiges Konzert der Gruppe Trio Picon für die Veranstaltung Shalom-Musik-Koeln. Leider waren wir nur in diesem Saal.

Ausstellung auf 2 Etagen. Ich bin wohl mit zu großen Erwartungen in die Austellung gegangen. Ich persönlich finde die oberflächige Beschreibung der Ausstellungsstücke wenig informativ. Zum Teil enttäuschend wenig beschrieben. Ich hatte mir mehr erhofft. Es gibt Interessante Stücke zu sehen aber im großen und ganzen kann ich behaupten, ich persönlich habe wenig neues dazu gelernt und durfte bereits großzügigere Museen besuchen.

Ich bedanke mich für die Darstellung beim Museumteam. Sehr schön, sauber, klugerweiser sortiert. Einfach toll. Ich freue mich auf das kommende neue Museumgebäude.

Surprised by the exquisite glass vessels on first floor. A well presented and informative little museum detailing the roman history of Cologne. I spent an interesting 1.5hr there. Enjoyed the collection of statues/figure heads too
