This
was
by
far
my
worst
experience
with
a
Marriott
property.
Upon
check-in,
my
husband
and
I
were
told
that
they
didnāt
have
to
charge
our
credit
card
for
incidentals,
so
we
proceeded
up
to
our
room.
On
top
of
some
functionality
issues
with
the
room,
the
telephone
did
not
work
which
is
a
huge
security
and
safety
concern.
It
was
properly
plugged
in
but
inoperable.
Further,
the
television
did
not
work
and
the
room
was
freezing
at
15
degrees
Celsius.
We
decided
to
call
it
an
early
night
and
went
to
sleep
at
9:00pm.
At
approximately
10:15-10:30pm,
we
were
awoken
by
knocking
at
our
door
by
the
front
desk
associate
who
checked
us
in
earlier.
Fearing
that
this
could
be
an
emergency,
I
opened
the
door
and
was
abruptly
told
that
there
was
a
āmistake
with
the
credit
cardā
and
I
needed
to
come
downstairs
to
the
lobby
immediately
to
swipe
my
card
for
incidentals
such
as
mini
bar
usage.
Keep
in
mind,
there
is
nothing
in
the
fridge
in
our
room
except
for
a
note
saying
to
visit
the
bar
if
you
want
something
to
drink.
Iām
visibly
irritated
and
cannot
believe
they
would
insist
on
making
a
guest
come
downstairs
in
the
middle
of
the
night
to
charge
their
card
for
something
they
physically
canāt
utilize
anyway
(no
mini
bar).
I
expressed
my
immense
displeasure
and
told
the
front
desk
associate
that
this
is
unacceptable,
inconsiderate,
and
disrespectful,
to
which
he
just
stared
at
me
and
slow
blinked
in
annoyance
with
me.
He
insisted
his
manager
made
him
wake
me
up.
This
is
completely
ridiculous
and
should
not
be
tolerated
by
Marriott.
Guests
shouldnāt
be
woken
up
in
the
middle
of
the
night
over
a
slight
oversight
on
the
staffās
part.
On
top
of
this
horrible
experience,
the
hotel
is
still
under
construction,
so
be
prepared
for
construction
noises
in
the
morning
and
thereās
only
a
few
rooms
available
since
theyāre
still
building.
Not
sure
why
theyād
open
for
business
when
the
business
itself
isnāt
even
finished.
The
price
may
seem
cheaper
than
other
Marriott
properties
closer
to
city
center,
but
Iād
strongly
recommend
paying
the
extra
money
and
staying
at
one
of
those
more
established
locations.
I
should
note,
the
only
redeemable
quality
about
this
stay
was
the
amazingly
kind
front
desk
associate
we
met
in
the
morning
(didnāt
catch
her
name,
but
she
was
wonderful).
Sheās
the
only
reason
Iām
giving
this
hotel
one
star
and
wish
I
could
give
her
the
recognition
she
deserves.
