We came here as it’s amongst Halal burgers in cologne. Generally, a good burger, tasty and reminds me a lot of shake shack; the place is nice and a short walk away from the main stations. However, hygiene is a concern. The guy who makes the burgers is the person who handles the cash without gloves! this is unacceptable He also was the only guy cooking the burgers as well as handing the cash transactions and he looks extremely uninterested. The fries are fresh but very dry and overcooked - worst I had. Overall - not coming back

Few negatives, few positives: 1. Staff is just unfriendly, bordering on rude 2. NO CARD PAYMENTS ALLOWED. I mean.. Seriously? One of us had to go outside to go to an atm to get cash. 3. Burgers are OK. As described in other reviews, it's between the McDonald's-like burger chains and fancy burger places. 4. Free refills, which is great

Just great burgers, freshly made to order. Fries delicious. A great find. The prices are very reasonable, much cheaper than the gourmet burger joints but just about as good. You get unlimited refills on the drinks as well.

Burger was ok, the meat had like no seasoning so it had no taste. Staff should be much friendlier. They seemed annoyed that you want to come in and order. Tables should also be cleaned after every customer. The cheese sauce on the fires was cheap sauce like you get at the movie theaters and I had better one there. Bathroom next to kitchen and kitchen door open. Will not come here again..

Imma be real and honest , this place is dope, I came to cologne together with a friend of mine originally to get my passport done and decided you know what? I was going to try to get some good food cause I was hungry, saw Phatburger around the block, tried it, and honestly I’m fascinated by the fresh ingredients and the customer service. This place absolutely deserves 5 out of 5 stars. As an international traveler i definitely recommend it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Had a delicious vegan burger, the fake beef patty was greatly cooked, staff is nice too and good Musik! Will definitely come back :)

Travelling to Germany for the first time, I didn’t know what to expect regarding their food. Phatburger was one of the places to make me fall in love with Germany during my visit. I ordered a Hamburger which was excellently cooked, great portion size and came under 10 minutes! Even had Bacon added last minute, cheese sauce and was offered ice cream all free of charge! Had a mix of Salted Caramel & Strawberry for my ice cream . 🤤 Fries were very nice being very crunchy and fresh from the fryer. Only thing keeping the rating a 5 is a few fries had little potato in them. Amazing service. I felt very comfortable although I speak little German but Akram’s charisma was felt from taking my order to saying goodbye. Loved the interior space also, very clean. Overall, amazing restaurant and would recommend trying! Danke schön Phatburgers! 🙌🏾 4.8/5 ✅

It's a really good burger. It's not exactly like an In-n-Out burger, but probably the closest you're going to get in Germany.

rlly nice fries & good burgers! The kitchen gave us some fries with cheese, beans, onions and mincemeat 4 free. The drink refill remembers me of good ol‘ subway/BurgerKing times. Unfortunately phatburgers is next to a McDonalds where the burgers are cheaper for those who want easy fast food, and at phat burgers the stuff isn’t fancy enough to get cool hipster instagram customers. But, honestly, you should try :)

Food was amazing, staff were extremely helpful and the owner was an extremely nice man. I've travelled from Australia and this is one of the best dining experiences I've had.

Tasty burgers and decent fries, plus free-refill drinks, however, service took longer than indicated (30 minutes for a burger with fries and it wasn't that full). It was also a bit cool inside as they kept the doors open despite it only being a couple degrees outside.
