Wow! Finally an authentic Italian place in town. I ordered takeout this time to eat in the car plus at home. Starting off with the pizza- so authentic just like you would get at a good place in Rome. Next I had the prawns with the famous garlic sauce. Prawns juicy and the sauce incredibly tasty, it satisfied me to no end. Finally, a perfectly smooth tiramisu with just the right amount of sugar, no too little and not too much. All in all, highly recommend this place

It's okay. My spaghetti alle vongole was fine. The spaghetti carbonara was heavy with cream and eggs, and disappointingly lacking in flavour.

La Vecchia Trattoria is an excellent choice for a meal - the service was superb, we enjoyed the authentic Italian cuisine and such a lovely experience didn't break the bank.

Great food. We struggled a little with our lack of German. But the food choice was good and our family really enjoyed our meals.

We were a bit skeptical about coming here because when looking inside, it was empty. However, the terrace in the back was fantastic and where other customers were sat. A secluded tent surrounded by foliage. Perfect for those warm evenings! We ordered the Mozzarella and Tomatoes and Snails for starters, followed by Steak and Spaghetti Bolognese. Hubby says Steak was cooked to perfection, and the potatoes were 10/10. Only downside was we would have liked more potatoes. The Spaghetti Bolognese was okay. Not greasy whatsoever, so little to no mess made. The table next to ours had the calzone, and I'm a little jealous. Service was fantastic and staff were friendly.

Terrible service. We asked to see a wine list and were brought a carafe of red. I explained again that we would like to see a wine list, the waiter shrugged, laughed and walked away. I'll admit that my german is poor, but we were making an effort and using google translate - we all felt that we were just an inconvenience to them. The food was average at best. One of out party was quite poorly after the meal. Avoid.
