    The three of us were at Feinfein on New Year's Eve and enjoyed the large 7-course menu worth €129. In general, I enjoyed the evening and would recommend everyone to try this charming restaurant (but more for 2-3 courses). The atmosphere is nice, the seating is nice, the drinks were good and the food was solid and nicely presented. I've attached a few pictures throughout the evening to give you an idea. Now the criticism part in detail. My criticism and the resulting 3.5 stars come from the price-performance ratio and the sometimes really salty food. The oysters and scallops were courses that we shared at the table, but I actually wished for “more”. Given the hefty menu price, I would have liked to have had my own plate. Since it was a New Year's Eve course menu and it lasted several hours, I would have been happy about a little more, especially at the beginning. I thought the timing was good, but in the meantime I actually had to order more bread because I was hungry. (The bread was a solid baguette, but I would have been happy with homemade, more rustic bread like many restaurants in the desired price range offer. However, that is a very high level of criticism.) This was the largest and therefore most filling course Wellington. The meat was well prepared, although the gyoza dough coating was a bit dark. You could tell that this was the “main course” and the kitchen was careful to ensure that it went out early. The cold gin and tonic course before was still on the table when the Wellington came around the corner. It was successful and tasted good. There was a lot of this course was supposed to fill you up. There were quantities here that perhaps should have been distributed at the beginning. Regarding the taste, I found some courses very salty. It started with the butter, continued with the pure miso paste (dashi miso is milder) and ended with the deer essence, a broth with a deer ravioli and enoki that had spilled into an espresso cup. Unfortunately for me personally it wasn't a successful course, neither in terms of taste nor in terms of presentation. My highlights were the cucumber gin and tonic which was very tasty, the scallop which was beautifully prepared, the Wellington from the texture/timing and the dessert. Finally, a personal touch. I was surprised to find the 00:00 kick-off prosecco on the bill. I think if you, as a restaurant, clink glasses together with guests, get to know each other over the course of an evening and share this "special time" of the New Year, which also results in a >500€ bill, the Prosecco at 00:00 simply shouldn't be on the bill stand. As I said, this is completely value-free and my personal opinion, I know it differently. Long story short, gladly again but in a smaller, á la carte version. Until then, I wish the feinfein team a successful 2022 and a continued good start with this new restaurant!

    Just opened, landed here through a recommendation and since there's nothing on Google yet, I'll start :) Fine cuisine served in a mix of an old inn and a modern bar. Portions are small, but the quality is very good. The dishes are varied in taste and more than live up to their unusual names. The beetroot dumplings were my favorite. Let the dessert surprise you ;) The service is very friendly and quick. Definitely worth repeating.

    Freundlicher Empfang, gute Beratung was Essen und Portionen anbelangt. Sehr gute Flasche Merlot aus Südtirol getrunken. Speisen toll angerichtet, Atmosphäre sympathisch alt und neu zu kombinieren. Mir gefällt das FF besser als der sterile Maibeck nebenan. Küche ist ähnlich gut. Mir gefällt das Bio Konzept und das tolle Brot was selber gebacken wird. Das Geschirr ist zu klein und Gewöhneitsbedürftig. Preise sind der Qualität und der Lage angemessen. Der freundliche Kellner aus Kolumbien sei zu erwähnen. Ich bin ein Jahr später da gewesen, die Portionen waren sehr gross und keine Tapas mehr. Die Wahlmöglichkeit etwas eingeschränkt aber die Tapas sollen wieder zurück kommen, was ich besser finde weil flexibler in der Menge. Insgesamt konnten Sie das Niveau halten. Im hi teren Zimmer waren Bauarbeiten, wir sassen vorne und die Kellnerin war immer sehr aufmerksam, alles gut.

    Interessantes Konzept, hochpreisige "Tapas", so wurde uns von dem Kellner die Speisekarte erklärt, nachdem wir uns outeten noch nie zuvor dort gewesen zu sein. Leider waren die Speisen für den Preis nicht die Erfüllung, die Kompositionen waren in sich nicht stimmig. Frittierte Sommerrollen, Entschuldigen Sie, aber laut meinem Wissen sind Sommerrollen meist mit Reispapier umwickelt, aber ja, das Gericht nennt sich "good morning Vietnam", waren eher pappig als knusprig. Das Gemüse, in diesem Falle der Kohlrabi, welcher sich nicht im ganzen essen lies, sondern eher aus der äußeren Haut gelöffelt werden mußte, war fasrig. Wir zeigtem dem Kellner die Überreste, auch er schien überrascht, sollte bei uns das erste Mal so gewesen sein.     Mandatory stop if you want to eat in Cologne. Very nice location, a mix of traditional and modern. Very kind staff and excellent service. Excellent food, in my case the house offered us several freebies such as a free starter and a final drink. Very honest price.

    I was coming with great expectations and unfortunatly I was very disapointed as my boyfriend. We took the vegan menu to share with the wine pairing. Every dish was well cooked but wayyy too simple, not tasty enough, could be easily reproduce at home in a better way. As for the wine, too conventional, in my opinion they only took what was served by the glass and put it as a pairing because there was no link between the wine and the dish. To pay 154£ for the whole dinner I was expecting much and felt robbed. I will not come back. To balance with a good part, waiters were very nice, even if there was 1 or 2 mistakes. Have a nice day

    Ich hoffe Ihr macht bald wieder auf. Euer Essen ist vorzüglich. Wenn ich mir die aktuell Baustelle so anschaue wird es wohl noch länger dauern bis Ihr wieder öffnet. Die Häuser sind älter als gedacht und müssen dringend renoviert werden.
