Try to stay away from that awful hotel!!! I checked in yesterday (on a Monday) and don't expect any early checking, nor the possibility to store your luggage or any kind of lounge you could kill the wait. (Any other ordinary hotel would probably have no issues with that). First night: the night lamp had a terrible electrical summing I informed the hotel early Tuesday morning, unfortunately, the guy on the line you are getting connected to doesn't speak German or English.... Well, I got put through to the manager, as I also could not access the Salon (a place, where I thought I could work). It took them 4 hours and 5 calls to get me a new room sorted and open the salon - only to find it closed in the evening hours again. Instead of calling me back to confirm the room change due to the issue with the lamp, they sent an email saying: "please inform us within 10 min whether you want to change the room" .... I am working and not constantly checking my emails... Turns out, after changing the room, they needed me to be out there quickly to clean it and give it up to another guest - guess what, right, the lamp was not fixed... At the end of the corridor are terribly stinking bins. The cleaning stuff clearly isn't doing that professionally. Customer service over the phone doesn't speak German and the once who do are reluctant and unfriendly. Marcel in particular. I cannot recommend getting near this place and for the price, they ask it's a straight insult staying in that place. The rooms are dirty, stains on the carpet and on the walls - again I saw the cleaning stuff, they are no professionals. The motto seems to cash out as max as possible while providing little to no service. Checking takes ages, if there are 2, 3 people ahead of you, go get a coffee - seriously.

Rooms are amazing and very comfortable. I think it's great that they are very green in approach but not having staff on-site is only OK when there are no issues. There were 3 people in front of me checking in and it took about 40 mins... The tablet based self check-in is rubbish. It asks you all the information you have already given and then doesn't always dispense room cards with no backup second device.

Canceled a few hours after the foreseen cancelation period because my wife had a climbing accident. A doctors note was provided. Asked for a refund or for the booking to be rescheduled. The answer was short and rude: sir, you don’t get a refund and we won’t reschedule. I can live with a fee to reschedule or cancel, but keeping 250 euros if a doctors note is provided is just borderline evil capitalism. Don’t book here, find a nice place where humans work instead of money machines.

We stayed only one night at this hotel. After reading all the reviews, I got a little bit worried, but the hotel is really modern and very beautiful decor. Everything was clean and comfortable. The self check is is really easy to follow the instructions and took only around 5 min. We could not scan the passport, but it was not difficult to do it manually. I understand, that it could become more waiting time if there is a line, but we were alone. What could be improved is a better lighting and access to coffee. But we were very satisfied with the stay 👌🏻good value.

Koncept Hotel Josephine was a nice surprise! Located in a quiet area easily reachable by metro and a short walk. The hotel is located in a brand new building, the door and auto check-in work without any flaws (i don't understand why people complain about it...). The room and toilet were fabulous: comfortable beds, stylish designed and most important: clean! I only missed the lack of social/human side of the hotel and no breakfast offer (but that's part of their concept).

Interesting hotel concept. No humans in the hotel. Automated check-in, no bar, no fluff. Clean hipster brand-new interior and nice rooms. We couldn't get connected to the Chromecast in the tv, so we couldn't stream Netflix. Nice, but empty lounge. It's good, and probably environmentally good, but also empty, no personal touch.

I would not say it's 1 star terrible, but would never again stay here. No reception (good luck storing your luggage if you are 1-2 hours early), no place for luggage, super thin walls, when a door shuts your bed shakes. Just all around bad. Only positive was that my room was clean and the bathroom was decent.

Due to corona in the family , we are not able to make it . We needed to cancel.Cancelation was still free Saturday till midnight. The corona incident was confirmed sunday morning. Tried contacting the hotel Sunday morning , but there hours are from Monday thru Friday. And now that it's 2 days before check-in, there is nothing they can do, they have no understanding for our situation and say that those are policy rules. I guess they would rather us come with the possibility of us having corona!!! Instead of looking at us as future customers and having a little understanding for our situation, they would rather take the money . So just remember , with this hotel no matter the emergency , cancelation is not an option.

0 privacy, very uncomfortable rooms. No amenities, no front desk. It is self check-in like on Airbnb, if you you need the hotel service and hotel comfort, don't go there.

I loved the modern design of the hotel ❤️. Room, rooftop, and area were nice, but service and check-in, check-out was somewhat disappointing. 1. Check-In would take too long with a robot in a place with no air conditioning, and it was warm as hell! 2. One hour before check out, the cleaning person opened our door without knocking or us even checking out! 3. There was no way to get fresh towels after check-in and in the next days, as it's just once per stay?! General okayish, but I would try another place the next time I'm in Köln.

The rooms were nothing great, no fridge in the room even after paying so much. The common area is dirty and fridge is not a mess, and you wouldn't even have know if you don't explore by yourself. Very difficult to check in. Location is terrible and locals are not exactly helpful while finding directions. The area is a little rough even if it appears to be clean so be careful when it's dark. I would avoid it next time.

Very nice hotel, great location, we arrived in the evening the parking was easy to find. Self check in was great and room was very nice and modern. Kitchen area where you can grab a beer of course with payment but you have also kettle and everything you need. Nice balcony to have cigarette, the night security was very nice. We will definitely be back

Perfectly functioning self-check in! Perfect spacious rooms. Best part about the room was the shower area and the shower head itself! The wifi worked perfectly, however I was on a business trip and needed to work on my laptop, the room does not provide proper chair/seating for this purpose. It does have a common room, terrace and kiosk area where one could work. The terrace has a beautiful vibe with fairy lights. I saw a beautiful sunset there. It’s set in a quiet neighbourhood. There are 3 to 4 supermarkets in 8mins walking distance which was very practical. Also close to a nice park. If you have luggage, it might be a little cumbersome to drag it 10mins from the 2 ubahn stops. All in all, I would highly recommend this place!

It was a wonderful experience. The hotel is 15 minutes drive from the city center. It is in a very safe area and has its own parking lot. There is no greeter or reception when you enter the hotel. Although this scared us at first, we did not have any problems. The hotel sends you a password and you enter the building with that password. On the 3rd floor there is a digital chekc in point. You do the check-in yourself and the machine gives you your room card. When you leave, you do your exit procedures at the same point. The rooms are really clean. They also have a small and meaningful gift for the guests. I really like this laundry bag. You are great.
