We had amazing food experience at New Banana Leaf today. It was delicious chicken biryani dish with four side dishes. Amazing thing about this place is you can always ask for refills for the side dishes. I highly recommend this place to take your loved ones to have a good time.

Great place if you are crazed to have full meals with different curries. Buriyani is provided with pasted chicken curry with other Srilankan combo. Friendly staff and relaxing place. Mouth watering moments never fades.

Today, I ordered around 100 packs from this place and I must say, the food was not only delicious but also served in reasonable portions. Despite placing the order on short notice, they managed to prepare it on time, leaving everyone thoroughly satisfied and delighted with the dining experience. Highly recommend!

Sri Lankan style biryani was very tasty, especially chicken was so memorable. The price was reasonable and staffs were friendly. I`ll definitely come back to this place if I have a chance to visit Colombo again.

Had a very good experience here today. Was looking for some local Sri Lankan food and found this place. My girlfriend and I are vegetarian and tried a few of the items. They were all delicious, especially the pollos (jackfruit). The yellow rice was amazing. Definitely try this place, there are so many choices to choose from and they are very delicious. Staff here is professional and attentive.

Worst dining experinece ever had 4 biriyanis it was completly bland no flavor at all they didnt even serve us water. The portion is too little for the price , it even isnt enough for a single person. And the service charge was over the top Rs 500 just for bringing the food. Worst place to eat . Very bad experience 😠😠😠😡

My first visit to Colombo and I don't think I would have wanted a place better than this for Food! Any food you order is so well done and gives you hardly any disappointment. I found out this place which was 500 mtrs away from my hotel I was staying. I continued this as my lunch hub for the next two days too without even bothering to check for other places. The place offers so much value for money without having to compromise an inch on the quality & taste. Service of these guys is simply amazing! Kudos to you Team! PS: My fav was Cuttlefish curry meal & Chicken Madam with rice. *A must try!*

It's not the restaurant which was earlier. The biriyani was terrible. Ordered a chicken biriyani and a mutton biriyani. The Chicken fry was old and near to bas smell. May be they have given the afternoon cooked rice. Not fresh. Totally bad experience I'm New Banana Leaf Restaurant.

An excellent place for a reasonably priced meal. They have a signature Banana leaf chicken biryani that is not exactly a biryani but it's tasty and flavourful no doubt. They have the standard Sri Lankan style lunch consisting of curries and rice along with some salads that are excellent and value for money. The eatery is all about banana leafs starting from the walls to the plates to the food that is served in actual banana leafs. This place is truly worth a visit if you like traditional Sri Lankan cuisine.

Good place to have lunch and dinner . Chicken briyani and sea food chopsy rice are very special here. The restaurant maintains a very good standard of cleanliness and hygiene.

Taste remains the same but the prices seem to be have increased due to the current economic situation. I spent 1012/= on a chicken biriyani and a soft drink (800 chicken biriyani + orange barly 120 MRP is 80 + 10% tax 92) 😰🥲

Atmosphere and service are great. Food are not much better, it's mean food has been not great rather than my expectation, I felt they will given instant cooked food but they have served pre cooked food it's mean they served that already prepared before I came. Otherwise atmosphere expressed great fragrance , they followed green color theme according theirs name banana leaf

Need improvement in all fronts. Serving food in banana leaves is the only plus point. Customers are received and greated based on the outlook. Waiting is not effective. Food isn't bad but the taste, presentation, freshness and fragrance are average. Place with a great potential. Hope to review the rating based on future experiences.

One of the well known Bambalapitiya eating houses. Mutton and chicken Buriyani served on banana leaf. Unique experience. I call these dishes Sri lankan style camouflage buriyani. Tasty and good portions for the cash.

Their best dish is chicken still I love it they have fish fry, fish curry, prawns an other delicious dishes. You can dine there or take away available.

Take 23 packs 2 days. Today and yesterday. Today it take more than 45 minutes to give the food. Manager is a person who treat people according to the dress, and very bad attitude from him when I'm still not given food he is taking my packed parcels for his friend's order. Also yesterday when I ask can can I place order over the phone ask me no place it throug uber. Not interested to have business. I need food for next week as well. But will not place order with this place due to manager. But should tell employees are very goods and food is superb.. But very disappointed due to managers work.

Food was good but did not have everything they had on the menu. Great service overall but I’ve had better service for half the cost of what they charged us for food.

Fast and friendly service. Clean place. Not very crowded. Portion is enough for one. Foods are not very tasty. Compared to the price tasty must be improved. Prices are bit high. All the items in the menu is not available. You can call and confirm before visit.
