This is in Kingsbury Hotel and I would say the place has a nice ambiance. The staff is attentive, friendly and supportive. They were very patient in taking the order and was helping us to select the items. The food was delicious and I personally think they can improve the portion sizes a bit. The prices are reasonable and would recommend this place for family outings specially because the atmosphere is extremely nice and quiet.

I went here to celebrate my birthday. It was a great experience. Service was great very polite and friendly. The person who took our order was really helpful and gave good suggestions. We ordered a Singapore style vermesali (rice noodles don’t know how to spell it properly) and a deviled chicken. Food were served warm and the noodles was yummy. Grape juice was fine. Chicken was not that good. But overall quality and taste is impressive. A birthday well spent ❤️ i will recommend this place to anyone

Great Taste. .. Amazing service.. Decently priced.. I think that sums up Yue Chuan in simplest terms.. It's Kingsbury's Chinese restaurant.. It's another good option in Colombo for some good Chinese food.. I know most don't visit these restaurants fearing prices.. But trust me you would be amazed by the pricing.. It's only a couple of hundred bucks above the typical good Chinese take out in any town.. Make sure to get a reservation cos it gets really crowded here.. Highly recommended

Didn’t have a good dine in experience with Kingsbury so far, yet, some of my friends told me the Chinese restaurant is ok, lets give it a shot. Service is ok. Food .. Sweet Corn Soup with Crab Meat, ok. Think this kind of soup cannot go any wrong. BBQ Pork with Honey (Char Siu), I never had any thin sliced Char Siu in my life so far, to be really honest. Steamed Chicken Dumpling, the flavor is bit bland. Maybe there’s where the soy sauce come in. Hong Kong style Cuttlefish Cake, OMG. I’m from Hong Kong, I never had this bad cuttlefish cake before. I was really trying to find some cuttlefish chunk or maybe the restaurant has really blended it nicely into that cake. The taste definitely so dull. Mango salad, is ok. Garlic Fried Asparagus, thin and old. I know it’s hard to find good asparagus here but I do really have had some good asparagus from other restaurants. Sweet & Sour Chicken, is ok. Sweet Corn Cake, this was the highlight of the night. Finally something I can finish it all. Price is reasonable. If you are looking for some good Chinese food, you can go Shang Palace or Crystal Jade in OGF. If you are looking for some competitive price Chinese food, you can go to 88 Chinese restaurant in Colombo 5 or Peach Valley.. so many good choices out there.

Best Chinese in town. The sweet and sour bean curd is a must try and their rice is so tasty. Only negatives the beans was not so good, they took like 45 mins to prepare our food and service could improve, they charge 600 for a bottle of water which is ridiculous.

The best Chinese restaurant in Colombo in terms of price / quality. The food is really authentic and tasty. They have a good variety of dishes with lots of vegan options. The only reason I’m giving this place 4 stars is the service. While the staff is friendly and the manager seems really attentive, some of the waiters do not really know the menu and sometimes forget about your requests. And the other day I came there for dinner and there was lots of rice on the floor after previous guests right in front of me. Nobody seemed to care to clean the floor which was unpleasant to see while having dinner. Anyway, will come again and hope they can improve the service.

Good place for authentic Chinese food in a quiet atmosphere. Place was not crowded at all the day we went. Service was good, although the food did take some time to be served. It's very good value for money as well. We kind of over ordered for three people and the bill came to just 6,000 bucks which was a pleasant surprise.

When it comes to Chinese I got my tried and tested list of favourites. Yeu Chuan at Kingsbury has never slipped into my mind before to try out, until tonight. To sum up by one word, food was 'average'. Honestly we had high expectations for food , it being a 5 star hotel and all. Deep fried prawn balls (appetiser) and dark chocolate lava cake(dessert) stood out from the rest. If they ask you to order the crispy prawns, please DON'T. it tastes pretty bland and one portion costs around 2500. In terms of pros, price was quite decent for 2 people. Bill came up to 13, 000 including service charge and tax, which seemed decent for a 5 star establishment. However consider ing the sizes of some of the dishes they not necessarily value for money. Service was good. They were very attentive and made sure we very well taken care of. Prior to going today, I went through other reviews and some of them had complained about delays in food preparation. We didn't experience that. However only 4 groups had occupied the restaurant so that could be the reason for that today.

Undoubtedly the Best Chinese restaurant in town. And the prices were so reasonable. The atmosphere is so nice and cozy and its a decent place to hangout with your family. The food and service was so quick and it was more then we expected. Also the staff was so friendly, attentive and supportive. It's the ideal place for a birthday treat. I would highly recommend Yue Chuan for a mouthwatering experience 💙
