This restaurant used to be excellent, but the quality has deteriorated severely. The only thing I would recommend is the chapati meal for breakfast. It is the only place in Sri Lanka that serves filter coffee. This is not a cheap place but was worth for the price. Nowadays quality went not good. Specially Rotis are so hard to eat. Non chewable. They also don't have every thing that in their large menu.

Great South Indian food! Quick service and staff is very nice and helpful. One of the best South Indian food I have ever tried in Sri Lanka. Thosa, Vadai, Parata, Naan , Rasam ... ideal to try! Parking is bit difficult but can find. Definitely will visit again and highly recommend. Lasantha served us and he was helpful.

Possibly the best South Indian restaurant in Colombo. Although expensive, the food is really really good and authentic. It's worth every penny spent. You can literally taste the ghee in all the dishes. They also have a wide variety of food, you'll have to visit many times to fully enjoy all the food that they offer. Always been a first choice for vegetarian items. Delicious food and service. Clean and air conditioned place. A very good menu but over priced. Taste is extremely worth for the money but the portion isn't.

There is parking space available and a good amount of seating space too. The restaurant is clean with little to no decorations. There's a good amount of options in the menu but the prices are a bit expensive compared to other vegetarian restaurants. They also have some Indian sweets displayed at the entrance. The food was satisfactory as well as the quantity. However, the customer service was great, and their fresh juice was remarkable. Overall, it wasn't too bad, but not sure if I'd visit again. A better place to buy North Indian food and Its North Indian Vegetarion food is very tasty and healthy. Prices are moderate, but the quality is superb. Staff is Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Super service. They have a separate sweet corner as well, and those are delicious. The hotel undertake outdoor catering also. Closes at 10pm.

Suriyas has an outlet in Colombo 4. It was started few months back, they have not taken much trouble in advertising it in todays digital world. They seem to prefer the olden type way of word of mouth. This was my 2nd visit. Parking in Colombo 4 outlet on 88- 90 Lauries Road Close to Thumulla Junction. Parking is limited. Since i placed a take away order it did not take much time. They provided the food in the specified time unlike the Col 13 outlet. The food was good no complaints about it. It would be better if their management also communicate among their staff in more polite manner, specially in front of their customers.

Very impressed with their delicious food. Especially my favourite cashewnut Masala Dosai, ulundu wade and what not. There's so much to choose from, and we just want to try lots of stuff from the menu. Parathas, pooris, naans just yum like other varieties of dosais (tried a few). Yummy Indian sweets at the entrance of the restaurant. Tried a few. Service is very good. Prices are very good. No complaints regarding the quality, taste & quantity of their portions. What we ordered never left us dissatisfied. Have been there more than twice and was impressed. So far, visited the 2 outlets (Sea Street & Colombo 4) Parking available at both outlets. Best place for eat veg food in srilanka Colombo

A place I usually visit on my veggie course days. My families favourite place as the food is always a 10 outta 10. As a person who isn't a fan of veg food , this places makes me love the plant based stuff !

I had the worst experience in my life trying to treat a friend who wanted to try some breakfast in Colombo and first time embarrassed alot for suggesting a place. To start off the worst experience we took a table at a corner which was for a family so the manager who pretended to double check the order ended up asking us to move for a two person table which was understandable then the food came so cold, never in my life had a cold ghee roast which was supposed to be hot and crisp. Then a waiting while we were eating tried to remove the plate and a dish then the manager apologized. Then while we were having the food another waiter brings the bill indicating it's time to leave I paid the bill and was waiting get my coffee, but within another 5 min the entire staffs was surrounding the table and giving an impression that we had been waiting for a long time inside the restaurant and making us so uncomfortable hence my friend and I decided to walk out and talk while standing outside. The worst part of the experience is security guard asked to take the vehicle so he can keep the parking space available for another car without giving us few minutes to talk while standing close to the vehicle. The whole team is so bloody money hungry money motivated to keep Turing around the tables and pushing more customers in even on a very low footfall day like Sunday morning. If there was someone waiting for the table I would understand staffs being hurry but the restaurant was mostly empty. I would ask anyone who would like to have an proper experience of zero food quality, terrible staffs and horrible security guard to visit this place it's a full package for a eventfull sunday. Note to management- hospitality is an art if you are only here to make money please put up takeaway only, sorry even that won't suite you because your food quality has become so worst now. Please try to educate your team to respect any customers that walk in and try to teach your kitchen on how to make proper south Indian food please

Food is quite expensive but definitely worth the price. Its safe to say that this is the best place for quality vegetarian meals in Colombo. They have a wide range of South indian dishes such as dosa, uthappam, chilli parotta, idly and many more items. Their selections of sweets are the perfect way to end a meal, owing to the rich ghee taste.

Experience 1. We were a team of 35 people who visited for lunch and the food was really tasty and amazing 2. Only problem is thali is limited and he will charge for a single papad also. 3. Food is extremely spicy and I request the hotel staff to reduce the spice level for foreign tourist.

We went here for a small snack and have to say the best ulunduwadei I have tried after a long time. The place is so Indian like and the staff is attentive. Staff had a bit of a language barrier but the restaurant staff was amazing. There is a front sweet shop and I do not recommend that sweet outlet. The girl who was working in the sweet shop did not even had a trace of smile and was so aggressive. So had to remove one star for that behavior

We had tiffin items and lunch during our stay in Colombo recently and enjoyed good food that was delivered at our hotel by the delivery staff. Very courteous staff excellent tasty south indian home alike food . Great taste.. would recommend for visitors staying in Colombo..

What a fun little spot for an authentic meal! Delicious vegetarian food - the wait staff spoke little English so we just told them to give us whatever they recommended. It was delicious.

Food is good but should really think of the neighbourhood too. From 7pm till midnight it's like a whole fight of pots and pans and neighbours around can barely take peaceful sleep. It's just everyday which is quite annoying. And the staff is so loud in their conversations or someone sings so loudly to the entire neighbourhood or clearing their throat that could possibly explode his lungs out (disgusting!). Owners should understand the business ethics when they put up businesses in residential areas.

I really feel the quantity is very much low compared to the price, I ordered a set of food for my entire family but the portions were very limited and I feel that one portion will not be adequate for even one, I understand the inflation in the country but at least the management should value the customer’s money coz the noodles or rice don’t even worth 200 for the quantity, please do look into this, it is totally fine you all charge high amount for the food but make sure to provide at least adequate quantity,

We had paneer masala dosa, malai kofter and garlic naan and all of it was really delicious. Not only was the food amazing, it was good prices and the staff were friendly. Will definitely return whenever we are back in Colombo.

Always been my choice when I go to Colombo to grab a delicious veg meal. Comfortable and air-conditioned. Has a good menu and the prices are fairly high than other veg outlets. Of course I don't mind spending a little more for a comfortable place and for some amazing food. They also have a sweet stall right outside the shop. You can treat yourself to some authentic Indian sweets.

Authentic Indian/ Non vegetarian food . Yummiest food ever.

I have enjoyed three or more times in this restaurant. They are all vegetarian. And the foods are very authentic. They best at indian cuisine. My recommendations to try are Gee Jeera Rice, Gobi Masala, Vegetable Biryani, these dishes are very flavorful and had real indian taste. The had Kashmir Pulao which made from fruits and sweets. That dish is also very good but don't try if you don't like sugar taste. It is very much sugary and the syrup taste resided in my mouth for weeks. The table staff is very good but they may show careless if you are a lone diner, but somehow you can get the work done by asking. Normal dish making will not take more than ten minutes and this has seating for around 50 persons. The staff of sweet takeout is very slow they take more minutes to even to see you are there to buy sweets.

Nice pure vegetarian restaurant near Colombo port. It serves south Indian and North Indian dishes. The meals are available only upto 3 PM. Meals are not served at dinner time. There are special dosa's prepared every day. This place is on narrow road hence finding a parking space may be a trouble. The taste is good and prices are little bit on a higher side but still OK. There is a sweet shop available here and one can buy sweets as well.

Looking for vegetarian food in Colombo lead us here. This restaurant serves pure veg food. We ordered executive thali,it had all south indian items. It felt like we were eating in a Indian restaurant,every item tasted exactly like it would in india. Food was yummy and filling. Price might be a little high. Service was quick and friendly. Liked their dishes. An authentic Indian vegetarian hotel in colombo. The taste is very similar to that of the hotels in India. Not very easy to fina a parking spot in that area. The street is usually busy. My favorite among the dishes were thosa and podi idly. For sweets, they have a great range of variety to choose from. Very well mannered staffs. I'd definitely recommend to anyone who's looking for a quick grab especially vegetarian in the pettah region.
