A good place to have a coffee enjoying the sea view. The atmosphere is great. Coffee was good too. They have limited food options including pies and cakes.

Good place to have a coffee with the view of see. Had a Caffè macchiato and a Latte which was very tasty. Further they did a latte art which impressed me. Further we had their Mrs. Chicken burgers which served with sweet potatoes chips. That was also very delicious. I think they have changed their location and recently moved into Marianne drive. Still decorations were going on. It would be great if they can improve the sitting facilities. Limited parking space is available. They do accept the card payments.

This is quite a spacious cafe by the Marine Drive Kollupitiya (Colombo 03) to chill while enjoying the sea view. The prices are on the higher side though. Tried the chicken burger recommended by the Chef Shakeer who is by the way a very hospitable guy. You can bring your laptop and work too for some time as long as there is seating available. The washroom was clean. Overall this is another good cafe by the sea.

There's so much more that these folks could do. For instance the cappuccino served in a glass was lukewarm. And so little quantity that you'd drink it up in 4-5 gulps. There was no opportunity to sip and enjoy the coffee like one would like to. The food; the bacon & egg panini for instance, just two small strips of bacon, two eggs, and the bread for Rs. 1460 was ridiculous, even if the bread is freshly baked in-house. The ambience too needs a lift. Too drab. Walls peeling. They don't give a receipt. When you ask for one, they ask you to take a picture of it off their phone. All in all, tasty food, but everything else about the food; the temperature, the quantity, the price etc. is not worth it.

Great ambience, tucked in a cosy setting opposite the ocean but prominent enough to stand out. Great coffee, probably the best I've tasted in the island hands down! A fair selection of vegetarian options, the cheese and tomato panini left me wanting more, absolutely awesome! Topped it off with delectable caramel squares to go....the flavours linger. Will definitely make this a mainstay on my trips to Colombo. Great job guys keep it up!

Monkey Bean cafe was so so good!! The service was quick, the food was amazing and just a great place to grab a bite admiring the view! Oh and the carrot cake was just 🤌🤌 Definitely the best slice I've had till date!!! 🧡

We were staying at the GranBell and after the disappointment of the breakfast at the hotel we decided not to go back and try the Monkeybean 2 minutes walk from the hotel. Much better option for breakfast than the one offered by the hotel. Good coffee, good paninis and good iced tea.

I had a iced latte and a beef burger. Both were really good. An extra slice of crispy bacon would do an incredible improvement.

Nice ambiance… the sunsets are marvelous here… even if it’s over cast and there is no visible sun to set, the view is nice as you would see … Food too isn’t bad. My friend had a “buttermilk cake” and he said it was awesome. However, my espresso lacked character. Maybe the bean was not freshly ground.

Delicious food where they really take pride in home made fresh ingredients. So tasty. Served us a special plate of rice milk for the new year. Lovely staff. They roast their own Sri Lankan beans. Good coffee.

Fivesure recommend! Good cup of epresso based coffee and you can see the ocean👍 updated to add the coffee is local and the barista is talented! Good coffee can be hard to find these days but it can be found here. Grab a bag of locally grown and roasted coffe to enjoy at home👍

Coffee shop with sea view. The cappuccino was not bad, but served in the wrong cup. If they do better milk foam and skip the cocoa powder and take a bit more care during the preparation, it would be much better.

The customer service was pleasant, but the coffee totally killed my day. the coffee was so old, bitter, waterish and aftertaste was sour.. coffee is very important in a cafe ....so maybe get better bean quality.

Walking around Beira Lake we found this awesome little coffee shop. A must visit, cool inside with outside seating. Awesome drinks and good price

A small and cozy lakeside cafe. 10-12 people would make this place fully packed. Coffee is quite tasty, maybe not the best in coffee junkies’ mind but definitely in tier 1 level. The place itself is a four star, and the friendly barista girl gave it an extra star with her warm smile ;)

Bit too expensive. Ordered a mocha and a hot chocolate, which was not bad. Cute little place. Could improve the coziness and the customer service. Employees were a bit cold. Could have been friendlier.

Nice Ambience, Cool and Lovely place to hang out with friends with a perfect real coffee taste and snacks. Also you can have your small gathering or meetings as well. It has A/C,comfy seats and great interior. You can work peacefully at this place.There's both outdoor and indoor spaces available and also the staff is supportive & friendly. Overall experience is really good 👍 Food also good and tasty. They have Ice Tea ,Mojitos,Sandwiches,Grilled Items and weekend live music too. Highly recommended.

Ambience is great and the service is even better. What I love is that fact that it is a pet friendly cafe and they are so welcoming and loving towards animals. I would recommend this place to all the pet mamas and papas for their next outing with the fur babies . Pets are allowed inside and you can sit facing the sea and sip on a hot chocolate (was delicious) and let your doggo get all the love and attention as well. Will surely visit again.

Nice ambient but food does not worth money at all. Very expensive food.. Over Rs 2000 chicken burger with cheese extra add on and over 1000 iced chocolate.. Small portions and tasteless..

Hmmm I'm having mix feelings about this place. Went with a few of my colleagues. Food was average quality, but we had to go to front desk few times to ask for Sause and tissues. They didn't gave those with food. It's okay to give it a try. Hope you will get better experience out there.

I went there for lunch after all the positive feedback on google reviews. The walnut and carrot cake was dry. The sweet potato chips were ok. The place is meant to be a coffee shop but there weren’t any couches. Just metal chairs and tables. They have an outside smoking area with similar tables and chairs. Very disappointed ☹️

The location is ocean facing, food menu is good, tried the chai it was good(although recommended for coffee) , the food quality was great. Service could be a bit quick, other then that experience was great. Must visit for a good breakfast.

Probably the best late I’ve had and the view is amazing too! For travelers like me the wifi and outlets are a game changer!

The preferred name in the hood for their coffee and amazing Sandwiches, Monkeybean is best enjoyed when you get the chance to chat with the zany Owner of the spot, Haren! Love their Spicy Meatball Shri-Panini, their naughty chocolate sandwich for dessert is a MUST!

Good place to go have your coffee while reading a book or doing your projects. Though the menu has limited options their food is nice. Tried their Mocha Latte and it was a bomb. Their tuna sandwich is yummy. The English Breakfast you get here is yummy and worth the price. The place is not very spacious.

Really good coffee. They also sell coffee beans and ground coffee. They have a great location on Marine drive. You can look out over the Indian ocean while having a cuppa. Another cool thing is they also are open early 7:00 and play good music to start the day.

Drinks are great, food is okay. Ecofriendl is also a plus. BUT it’s a No-Go how slow they are. We were the only two guests here in the cafe and it took them 45 (!) Minutes until we received our food (panini and omelette, so nothing really difficult). The drinks „only“ took 25 minutes until we got them. The staff where two people and it seemed as if they were really working continuously on our little order. Sorry, guys, that doesn’t work. Imagine your cafe is full. People are waiting 2 hours then?

The bathala fries were re fried...tasted bitter. The chicken in d burger re fried , it looked black. Chicken was tasteless..coffee was not great.. wouldn't recommend it at all...
