An unpleasant place to stay. The bed is not suitable for a couple, they provided two separate beds as one bed. Difficult to sleep comfortably. The air conditioner does not work properly. There is no hot water or cleaning products in the bathroom. No iron, no hair dryer, no electric kettle. At least there is no glass to drink water. The staff is also rude. The service provided is not worth the money we have paid. Not recommended to stay.

It is the most awful hotel the worst we have ever had the misfortune to stay in. Against our better judgement we booked in as we were so tied after our flight to Sri Lanka. We had three hours sleep on the dank bed and then left and found a far better hotel just up the road. The Metro City Hotel stank, was dirty, there were no widows, there was damp mould on the walls. The shower and toilet were disgusting. By far the worst hotel we've ever been in.

Well the good fist, it's cheap and has working air-conditioning. Rooms have no windows, this isn't a terrible thing just different. The big problem is the mold. It is everywhere. The place is very worn out as well but the price makes up for the worn out poorly maintained room. Of note one power point had a earth wire hanging out if it. And there was 1 towel between the 2 of us and about 5 sheets of toilet paper. The counter staff can often be found sleeping on the foyer lounge 😴 The room was supposed to include breakfast but the staff member couldn't be bothered getting it so he gave us money to buy breakfast elsewhere. Even if you don't have much money look elsewhere because the mold is that bad. Unfortunately the photos don't show how bad it is.

It's a trap. Very dirty room, yellowed walls with leaks. Disgusting bathroom. It smells like mold from the reception. I had to leave to look for another place.

The room was small and moisture. We had one window but it was not a real one. In the hallway we met some cockroaches but we had just one really little one In the room. We asked for a rally breakfast because we had an early appointment but they couldn't make up for it. Breakfast was disappointing anyway. Staff was nice, room was kind of clean and okay. Is nearby some good restaurants and sightseeing spots.

We called the day before and booked and the next day we came all the rooms are booked. Had the worst experience ever

Good location, nice view from fifth floor. Safety deposit box, AC that actually works. Were able to pay in foreign currency (euros). They offered to keep an eye on our bags after check out. Provided airport shuttle for normal price (2500Rs). Room was dirty, ants on the floor around half eaten candy, dusty, windows were never cleaned. Bathroom had mold on shower curtains. Unfortunately everything was bit old, rooms definitely needs renovating. In near streets there is only one restaurant with fast food, hard to find dinner.

The only good things about this place are its location and internet. Rooms have no windows, so it’s really uncomfortable to get up in the dark and being constantly exposed to the noise of a fan. Not really clean, hot water comes and goes. Wouldn’t go back.

Budget friendly hotel on the main road, nearby many shops available for shopping & eating. The staff is very kind. Overall 4 floors with lift facility. Room cleaning needs to be improved. No heater available in the bathroom, there are no fans in AC rooms & also no night lamp available.

Rooms rented for A/C, but no A/C there. But charged for A/C room price. They never told that A/C are.mal functioning and they simply kept a stand fan inside. Im highly dissatisfied. 😐😐😣😣😣😣😣 no one should have rooms there. 😡😡😡😡😡😡

No TV in room as mentioned. Not clean. Not as on pictures. When asked they mentioned that the picture are from 10 years before. Never expect the rooms be like on photographs. They are before 10 years. Double bed is prepared by two single beds. Totally disappointed stay. Worthless for the price. Do not fall for the photographs. No luxury at all as shown.

It is located just a walking distance from Colombo fort. Good service special from Mr prasanna who is one of staff members in the front desk. Room rates are very reasonable for a A/C room compared to other hotels. Rooms and washrooms are very clean but linens are not new onces. Wifi was available but there was not a TV in my room. (Since I have a laptop and mobile phone it was not really important to me) Overall it can give 8+ rating.

Not worth for money, Worst place I've been. Bed were very uncomfortable. There were two beds they shown as a one they were like rolling carts🤮. Bathroom was🤮🤮🤮. Not even a water bottle supplied. verry noicy. Its a rubbish.

One of clean and safe hotel in Colombo 2. Price is reasonable. I have stayed with my wife for a weekend. They are flexible for early check in and late check out without additional charges.

This is not a best place to stay in colombo. Room have a another door we don't know who had the access to it. It is not safe and not clean. Bathroom is not clean. Wifi isn't work. Tv isn't work. Tv remote was broke.

This is one of the best hotels i stayed in. The room was very, very clean. The staff at the front desk are very friendly, helpful and professional. The lobby was nice and clean. Breakfast area is good . And location which was easy to get to and plenty of eating establishments in the immediate area.

While comparing to the other hotels & motels around the area, it is just an ideal budgetary hotel in the heart of Colombo. Apart form that, it is a really convenient place to find local restaurants around the area which is fantastic. Staff at the hotel quiet embarrassing to their guest as they don't care about their body language in front of guest(Specially Reception). At least they have not been provided a proper uniform to wear and the staff with their casual dresses( Joggers & T-Shirts). Rooms were not really cleaned but generally it's value for money. Don't expect a huge breakfast buffet as they serve only Sandwich Bread, Butter & Jam, Omelet(Upon Request) & Tea-Coffee.

The hotel is good after the renovation. Mr. Naveen gives personal attention to their customers. The service provided is very good. Mr. Prasanna manages almost everything and is pretty good at it. The stay with kids was pretty pleasant. The location is perfect as Slave Island Railway Station is a minute walk away. Cleanliness: 3.5/5 and Service: 4/5. Value for money.

Calm and quiet rooms with AC and customer service was good. Prasanna was so helpful and was helping in all the needs.

Convenient place to stay near the center of colombo. Reasonable prices, nothing great but it does the job for 1 night stay before moving to another city

Good place for one day stay. There is no heater in the room. Ac was good.. all other things are great. Its kind of main place it have so many tourists places within 1kms. I will recommend this if you are planing for cheap and best trip.

This was by far my worst experience in terms of hotel stays. The pictures on the booking portals are very misleading. The rooms were spruced up for the benefit of promotions but in reality, they are severely lacking in every way. The room assigned to us was not clean. The sheets were torn and dirty. The bathroom had constant leaks. There was no duvet given. When asked for a blanket, they gave an extra bedsheet to cover ourselves. Not at all comfortable. But the worst part was the next morning when it started raining very heavily. We woke up to our entire room filled with water. The rain water came in through closed windows. Our luggage was soaked. They changed our room finally. The pictures showed a dining area with chairs and tables. There is no such facility in the building. They brought us breakfast from outside. The location was the only plus point. Other than that, it felt like nothing more than a seedy, shady motel. Would not recommend this place to anybody.
