Went there for an afternoon drink. The view from the 3rd floor was beautiful! We had some sweet potato chips that was great, it was crispy and delicious! The only reason for not giving it that last star was the dirt on the windows. Some soapy water would change the whole vibe of that place and just give it a little bit of a high-end look.

It's with a sad note that we review the fish and chips here. This used to be our favourite place to have our favourite fish and chips. The price back then was Rs. 900 and now it's Rs. 1150. As you can see, the portion has changed. The colour and texture has changed. The taste has changed immensely. It was all oily and we're pretty sure it's made of used coconut oil. The three of us used to order four of these when we go there but we could barely eat one. It's dry and oily and the fish tastes old and plain. So we take back our 9/10 point review and reduce it to 4/10. We highly warn you to not try this as it's a waste of your money and it will ruin your taste buds if you're looking for a good food experience. Plus when we call them they never tell you that their A/C is not working. Had to sweat a lot. We ordered a Berry Mango expecting mango. It was just a syrup. This place went from the best place to hang out to best place to hangout without eating anything from here.

The only cafe/restaurant in Sri Lanka on FRIENDS theme. The restaurant is located in Marine Drive, and if you wanna see sun set, better to visit at evening. The ambiance is reminds the popular TV series Friends. There are variety of food and beverage options. Food is tasty, reasonably priced. They offer very generous portions.

Cozy little Friends themed café with a view of the ocean, it was cool. I had a club sandwich which was really good, the prices seemed reasonable.

Didn’t you visit the new cafe in the town yet?? 😱 If you are a FRIENDS fan then you must visit this place. Such a nice environment to hang out with friends. Best place to grab a coffee on a rainy day. After all coffee and friends are the things we all need. Only issue is when you order food you have to come to the cashier. If they have the option where we can order from table, it would be great. Anyways I highly recommend this place to spend your Sunday evening in peace 🙈

Good atmosphere, Used to be a good place, waiting time is too long, nowadays juices are too sugary and sweet better if they can mention it syrup drink, French fries smelled strong and we reported, no action or no deduction anyway we inform twice about the frying oil quality, I have serious doubt about the quality. Hope they will improve it.

A good place to vibe especially for a FRIENDS fan. I ordered crispy chicken burger, mushroom pasta, minty monsoon and berry mango and all of them turned out to be good. Price is a bit on the higher side but the portion size justifies it.

Starting with the iconic purple door at the entrance, the place definitely housed a F.R.I.E.N.D.S type of atmosphere through and through. Probably since we visited on a Sunday, it was a bit crowded when we entered, but there was enough space and tables to choose the ideal place for us to sit. Noticeably—and appreciably—we weren't provided with a nasty menu touched by hundreds of customers, instead on the table was a little box with a QR code we could easily scan and get the whole menu from. A pretty large catalogue of food and beverages was available, and once ordered they were served in due time, fresh and warm. And, no complaints on the tastes either they were as delicious as we wanted them to be. Customer service was similarly quite friendly and helpful to the point they turned on lights to lighten up the room for us to take pictures even without us asking them to. A few cons here and there made the place not reach a 5 star rating. Most noticeably their smoking area was set up on the ground floor, and us the non-smokers had to reach the 1st floor (all through that smoke) to have our meals. As non-smokers we hate that smell not to mention all the "2nd hand smoke kills" jargon. This inconvenience could've easily been avoided had the floors been switched. Music was a bit too loud that with the others' noise mixed in, we could hardly hear each other talk.

Nice and cosy coffee house to relax and spend your time with your friends, dates etc. They have built it on the world famous TV show "Friends" theme, but it's nothing like 'The Central Perk' of the show, just the sofa looks the same. But they have decorated inside with Friends's character painting etc. Been there only once, the sandwich we ordered was pretty bad, lacked taste. Cheesecakes and Mojitos were fine. Also I should mention that the staff is really friendly. You get the ocean view and the trains passing by which is quite aesthetic. It has been less crowded after the Covid '19 pandemic lockdown. Another flaw is they do not check temperature or follow the basic Covid guidelines which the SL gov recommend. All in all being fan of "Friends" had a nice experience.

I am not a fan of FRIENDS but its a nice cosy place. Good place to hang around with friends. Loved the Chicken Kochi Fries. Chicken Pasta portion could have been a little more. Panini quantity is great compared to the prices of other items. Got a good collection of drink items. Its a bit expensive but can't complain on it with ongoing inflation. Service is also good.

Has a delightful atmosphere and the proximity to the beach provides a legit pleasant view. Despite the somewhat pricey menu items, they are definitely worth the cost. Shisha is okay. Not the best tho.

Unfortunately, my experience at the cafe was not as positive as I had hoped. The food, while not terrible, fell short of expectations, especially considering the relatively high prices. Additionally, the non-functional air conditioning made the visit less comfortable, and finding parking proved to be quite challenging. Moreover, serving drinks in plastic cups felt a bit subpar for a cafe setting, diminishing the overall experience. I believe there's room for improvement in various aspects, and I hope these points are taken into consideration for the benefit of future customers.

Had a chill time at Central Perk. Tried 'How u doing’ (a bit salty but was okay), cheesy chicken fries (yum), and a chicken Kottu (average taste). Margaritas in apple, peach, strawberry, passion – so good! Great spot for a laid-back hangout with friends. Tried the apple shisha too – added a nice touch. First of all, let's talk about the food. We had a Chicken Fried Rice and a Chicken Submarine. Both tasted decently well, although the potato chips were overcooked, and the fried rice had an artificial taste. We also had a mojito, which was decent as well. So, there's not much to complain about the food. The service is not the best, as they took a lot of time to prepare our meals. When it comes to the atmosphere, my expectations were a little high since it's themed after one of my favorite TV shows (Friends). However, it didn't meet my expectations. It didn't feel like Central Perk from the TV show. I feel like they could have done better. Additionally, there's a perfect ocean view, but it was obstructed by the dusty, uncleared windows. I recommend it for the food.

A good place to hang out with friends or colleagues. To be honest, though some of the visitors highly recommend, we didn't get that much vibe. We ordered crispy chicken burgers. They were not up to the standard. Filling was too bitter. And we got crisps with them. God, too much of chille powder was sprinkled over them. Good ambience, but not food or drinks.

An absolute dissapointment.... Got 2 chicken pasta and their tcp signature chicken (was like eating cardboard... Super dry.... Mildly flavoured and absltly not worth the price) ... Even their shakes were nothing awesome.... The other issue was the heat.... Requested several times to On the aircon but smhw it gets off.... Place is alrght.... Ambience is fine... But the food is a total big dissapointment for the sky high price they charge .... Definitely not a place I would recommend but its OK to try but don't have high expectations

Staff is not trained whatsoever. You can easily get ignored for hours without approached by a staff. First time when we get there for shisha we had to wait for 45 minutes then we called the number on google to get the attention. Guy who sat us down in the rooftop disappeared in instant. We were never attended by anyone unless we were seeking out to a staff to change the charcoals or drinks. Second time it was during the lunch hour first floor we were seated. Waited for 30 minutes then a staff came with the menu which was a block of QR code. Took them another 30-40 minutes for the drinks. Waiter didn’t know about the menu much as he hasn’t tried any of the items it seemed. Whenever we visited always it was filled with school leavers or teenagers. Noice and lack in ambiance. Tables are very much closer even though it’s a pandemic situation. I wouldn’t recommend it whatsoever. If you like Shish I would recommend The Barnesbury. Good quality food/ambiance and the peaceful atmosphere.

Average food, long waiting time for food and average safety precautions made us rethink the choice we made to dine at The Central Perk that day. But I'm pretty sure that it's because of the current situation, because my previous experiences at this place was way better. I'd recommend to ask suggestions from the staff about food and that way you'll get a better experience.

If you are a Fan of Friends you definitely have to pay a visit! Has a non smoking and a smoke area. Includes of 3 floors including the rooftop area which is accessible only after evening. Food was good and the staff was friendly. It’s not exactly the central perk vibe but they have done a great job to make it so.

I went to Central perk with the urge of being a FRIENDS fan, it is filled with quintessential friends reference including big orange couch. It’s an experience certainly. However, in terms of food I found it neutral, you can’t say it’s bad but it didn’t wow us either. It doesn’t have any friends theme food. You would only find typical Sri Lankan coffee shop food items here. No moist maker or joeys meat ball sandwich 🙁. Additionally, third floor is dedicated for Smokers. Entire place quiet spacious thus good for team outings. No parking space available. Owners!!! Consider adding some iconic food from the show.

Well the location is great. Staff was friendly. The corn soup was really nice. However, the veggie panini was a major disappointment. On the menu it mentions it has cheese and pol sambol. We received the item sans the pol sambol to which the staff said they only service pol sambol in the morning hours (which is not mentioned on the menu). But conveniently charged the same price. Which makes it an expensive sandwich.

Sometimes you just need to keep it simple Amazing coffee ... Quick , simple and tasty food ... What more could you ask for when you're on your way to work or meeting for a quick coffee ? This cute little cafe has it all . This place is quickly becoming my regular when I visit for work .

Decent coffee shop beside marine drive at Colombo 3 facing the beach. Has a non smoking and smoking section on separate floors. Shisha is available and costs above 2.5k for a session. Has sofas and table seating. Service is not great due to the location being distributed in multiple floors. The food is highly expensive and not value for money. The quality is nothing to write home about. At best decent. Roadside parking is available but would find it difficult to park when the places adjacent are busy. Nice ambience and environment for youngsters to hangout with generic pop EDM music being played. Strongly feel that the food volume and quality should improve with the service to make this a great hangout.

Definitely a must visit place if you're a friends fan. The ambaince was great however the food was a bit of a mixed bag. Loved the desserts but fish and chips was a let down, lacked flavor. However the service was great.

I have not yet tasted from anywhere the taste I get from the Tiramisu Coffee and the Lemon and Mind Mojito. When ever I visit I always go with these and recommend others to try it as well. and their food is min blowing.

Food was really good actually. Portions look small but it was enough actually. Kottu portions were really good. The 'How u doin?' From the TCP specialities menu was really good. Pasta was really creamy and tasty. The atmosphere can be improved but the overall experience is good. Recommended place.

Most awaited cafe concept in Sri Lanka. Every FRIENDS fan in Sri Lanka must go to experience their lovely vibe. They keep in existence of iconic signs from FRIENDS including Central Perk orange colour couch. Nice names related to the TV show have been brought to their Menu. Our picks were how you doin (fried chicken), Joey doesn't share food (chicken shawarma), hazel ice fusion and strawberry cream ice fusion. Chicken shawarma comes side with french fries. Except their lovely vibe there wasn't a speciality in their cuisines and taste was average.

Not worth the price, the portion is way too small but taste wise the bolognese was good, it was yum but it's just 4 spoonfuls They sell something called a passion margarita please don't waste your money on it. It isn't even fresh passion. Just a cordial served in a fancy glass with salt dabbed on the edge. My mistake I had it. Won't recommend it.

This café really outdid itself when it comes to sticking to a theme. The ambience, the menu, the decor are all Friends themed. Heck, even the food is just as tasteless and bland like the TV show friends. >.<

Arrived mid afternoon, the bistro was empty. Ordered mock-tails and late lunch. One of the mock-tails was incorrect and the food was still frozen on the inside. Unwilling to change the drink and the food was removed, when returned the food had been microwaved and the items that were uncooked removed. The service was poor and yet the service charge was compulsory and remained on the bill. Do yourself a big favour and avoid this place.

Nice place to visit for Friends fans. But I would recommend to the owner to put tv with Friends episode (with sound) instead of random pop music. We tried mocktails, refreshing, but tonic instead of sprite would be better as well. Haven’t tried you food, but maybe we’ll come back. Thanks!

Being a fan of FRIENDS this is definitely one of my favourite places to hang out. The moment you walk in you will feel like walking into a FRIENDS Paradise. For some reason I keep going back for that strawberry Margarita which is my absolute favourite. Their hot chocolate, potato Wedges, pastas and other items on their food menu tastes delicious indeed. But personally I feel that the prices are a bit towards the high end compared to other similar places. The best part of them is that they have a smoking floor with a variety of shisha. With the sunset view it's definitely a great vibe to hang out in the evenings. I believe the place could use a little bit more maintenance as I get the feeling that it is not the same place I used to go at the beginning. It still doesn't stop me from choosing them every time I'm looking for a chilling evening.

I went there with my husband, really loved the ambiance then the food was great! we ordered a regular Pasta and some fish and chips the taste was soothing and delicious also the portions were filling. Something was different from other coffee shops I've been to. And the service was great, I couldn't remember the person's name he was a Tamil guy his service was very receptive, friendly and comfortable too. Nice place to be and we will revisit again for sure.

First time I stopped infront of this place, I was so thrilled! It's like the Central Perk coffee shop from FRIENDS TV show suddenly became real! They have a smoking lounge and non-smoking lounge. There's the couch from FRIENDS and all. And lot of places to take photos. You can see from my photos attached here. There's a wooden block, with QR code. You have to scan it to get the menu and you can order. Food is good. And mind you, if you are stepping into this place, make sure you a prepare for a per person $$$$ bill. No parking as it's like side to the marine drive.

They were being so very helpful from the time I made the reservation till the end of the whole surprise party also playing a part in the surprise. Their customer service was on point and very down to earth. Shaif did an amazing job handling our table of 20 people while communicating well with us. On top of that, the food was simply amaze-balls. The kochchi fries and the green punch was indeed a punch on the right taste buds. I'd highly recommend this place & staff for their cooperativeness & professionalism.

The place atmosphere is wonderful. It quite calm place and enough space available to accommodate more customers. They located near beach therefore the view from this place is nice. The price of the food is bit expensive however I would say it is worth for the money. We ordered the Chicken Kochi Fries and Panini, quality and quantity wise it is good and drinks also well prepared.

If look for it, every big city would have one Central Perk. This is the one in Colombo. Very spacious, neat in style and “OMG” type of big windows for perfect sunset view on the sea. Not sure about the daily business here but not too many people on this Saturday afternoon, which I like but I assume the owner would prefer differently XD. Only issue so far is they took too long to prepare drinks. I spent half hour taking photos, one video clip, writing this review and still waiting for my mocktail...

Very nice atmosphere .but not value for money at all.we ordered some mocktails and it was lousy..almost like cough syrup mixed with sugar syrup. They need to improve a lot..place was hardly any customers on a Friday night..was throughly disappointed..

Went for shisha, well shisha was good. But let’s talk about the ambience! The ambience is super cool with the friends theme. Fell in love with the entrance and the friends sofa which looked alike to the tv series A must visit for a Friends fan!

If you are a fan of the TV series Friends, this would be a place you will love for sure (they even have Friends t shirts and hoodies for sale). Even if you are not this is a cozy place where you can have some quality time with good coffee and nice food. Love the place.

It was a lovely time in here. You would feel the menu does not have a wide spread but they are doing an amazing job for every food item in the menu. Food was delicious. I admire the every attempt they have taken with the interior. Keep it up.

I'm very impressed🤯 of the way how they gave us the menu. There was a barcode on the table number we have to scan that and we can get the menu in our phones. But I have a Samsung s20 phone it didn't work for me. But 2 of my friends had iPhone for them it worked. Due to the pandemic situation it's a great idea to give the menu like that. I'm very impressed ❤

I've been to this place once, I will never be going back again, mainly because of the service. There is this guy in the second floor who claims to clean your shisha and keeps smoking it. He keeps staring at people, it was so uncomfortable and weird. All the staff give you this dont care attitude. Summing up worst place to hang out the vibe is just off. Do not recommend to anyone, F & B is good but the service is so bad.

It is one of the best place to hang out with your friends or your mate. Totally satisfied with the service. We went there for a quick drink. So we had Strawberry Mojito and Strawberry Iced tea. It's a worst place they say work ethics and they change the menu

The normal price for shisha's were quoted off 2.6k (while I called to get the prices), after I went there...they just kept on boosting the prices for how many people I had brought in and they call em work ethics...well my a** work ethics keep on treating customers like this, that restaurant won't be there for long.....

Absolutely loved this place! So much nostalgia stepping into Central Perk It was so well decorated with all Friends themed things It was a little hard to find But from the moment I opened that purple door and stepped in I was at heaven! The decor was definitely my favourite part as a diehard fan of the show The food was quite yummy as well Very expensive but satisfying Loved the place!

Probably the only coffee shop that offers an air conditioned smokers lounge. They have great drinks and hookah along with delicious stuff to munch on. If you are a smoker its a good place to escape from the srilankan humidity

Except for the lovely ambiance there isnt anything much. Food and drinks are average and every single time been there, they didnt have some items from their menu. I've heard people say their Shisha is good. If you like the whole friends theme and looking for a chilled cozy place to hang, this could be what you're looking for.

I ordered a hot cappuccino. Servers were friendly and the cappuccino was good. The non-smoking section has a cool vibe. They played American hip hop and R&B while I was there. You can sit at tables or lounge on couches. I'd have to try out the food to give it 5 stars.
