The dentist for sure has all the advanced technological equipment required for the job and does a decent job. However during my first appointment I did feel a sense of sarcasm and rudeness towards me with the dentist during consultation. I chose to ignore it as I was just there to get the job done. The dentist does not know how to empathize with his patient rather criticized on how my teeth structure (i have no control over how god has structured my mouth, and some how this is my fault) and concluded I cannot have dentures in the future and made me feel bad about myself. Ignoring such sarcastic behavior I still had to get my work done and made an appointment again for 4.30pm and reached there by 4 so I won’t be late for my appointment as the receptionist called me and asked me to be there early. A lady who had no appointment later walked in at 4.40 and was seated too. The dentist walks in at 5.12pm asking his patients to show up early walks into his cubicle with no apology as basic human value for keeping us waiting and calls in the lady who walked in with no appointment started chatting with the receptionist as she was a friend of the dentist (which he denied after I asked, because I saw them have a huge laugh as they walked in) I was called in at 6.20pm after wasting all my time seated there (where I had to reschedule my meetings so I could be here being treated unfairly.) The receptionist lied about the lady having an appointment when I inquired and couldn’t prove it when I asked her to pull out the appointment log book. Later the doctor pretending to tell her she’s wrong in front of us was all a big sham as we could see he didn’t mean a thing he said. The receptionist is very unprofessional and unorganized with keeping up with appointments. Note: this place is not cheap. He tells you, you have so many problems doesn’t even discuss the prices before anything so please be careful. Always discuss what the procedure is going to be before he decides what he wants do and charge you for it. You can go to him for his work as he is good at it. But on human values and empathy as a doctor he should understand he should be the person to comfort the patient and not put them down as they go to a doctor to get themselves fixed and not shamed. Sad to see educated people act in such a manner.

I had lived for years in Sri Lanka and had only had bad experience and had made my mind up on that Sri Lanka didn’t have any good dentist. A good friend of mine introduced me to Dr. Ruvan and I thank God for both. Thanks to Dr.Ruvan I have now good teeth, a much better view on the other issue and an excellent , yes superb dentist who has done all from root canals, extraction to the small stuff and cosmetic things. My daughter is doing her braces here and my family is just raving about Dr. Ruvan It helps he got a good sense of humor as well. Thank you Dr. Ruvan you really have made my life better

So they have a nice site.. great step forward , especially that you can book online and I was really happy to find a dentist not far from my house. So I booked 3 appointments for my children. Went to the appointment.. That is where it went downhill from there.. They had no idea about the appointments! They were very surprised. They asked me how I had booked.. I explained I did it online.. "Oh that is why.." they said, all finding it very amusing. "Our website does not work, you have to do it by phone." "Also our dentist does not come until 4:30 pm, try and come then" As the place was small I asked them do they handle the xrays for the kids or do we have to do that somewhere else. Turns out you have to go somewhere else. So this is a no go for me... and my family.

I have had about 15 visits to get 5 crowns, 2 implants, 1 root canal, and numerous cavities fixed. Doctor was very kind and caring, respectful, humorous, fluent, explained what needed to be done, and I always felt comfortable. Doctor even came in on a day just to attend to me due to my travel schedule! Clinic has the latest equipment, maintained hygienically, and best trained nurses who care about you. I will certainly visit again when I am back in SL!

My 15 year old son had his teeth corrected with braces with Dr Ruvan and we are very happy with the experience. While all the technical details were excellent, our only complaint is the waiting time some days. I myself have had my teeth cleaned with Dr Maduka and she so super too! I recommend the Colombo Dental Clinic to anyone looking for good dental services in Colombo. It's not easy to find a good dentist here.

I am giving 5 stars for the work done on my teeth, the transformation during my braces journey was phenomenal. My mother had a similar experience with all the work done to her teeth. The staff is friendly, and I felt right at home going for my adjustments and was well supported throughout. Shout out to Sachini! However, there were some issues: 1. The waiting times in general are downright terrible, it truly is a test of patience. I suggest you bring some work with you or something to do for a few hours. Think of it more like an outing instead of a trip to the dentist, it helps. 2. In my year and a half of going there were a few instances where the lab experienced delays in delivering certain items, this was a minor inconvenience, but it was solved by some quick rescheduling of appointments, in general, they reach out about such delays! 3. During peak times you CANNOT get through to them on phone, as the front desk is run by the dentist's helpers and therefore cannot answer the phone when patients are being seen :( The key is to ask for the times the doctor isn't in and call then. These issues weren't deal breakers for me, what matters to me is that the teeth were fixed properly, in fact, the constant waiting improved my patience (seriously though take some work or reading or anything to fill the time in the waiting room).

Dr. Ruwan is one of the best dentists in colombo. His two clinics are spotless, excellent nursing support and the nicest caring attitude to patients. I have been with dr. Ruwan for years and his latest - an extraction - went so well I didn’t feel anything. Highly recommended dental practice in the city.

Dr. Ruwan is most advanced in technology. Known him for good 10 yrs and I attend to my dental matters while living in Canada 🇨🇦.

I saw Dr Ruvan with two badly impacted wisdom teeth. I was in excruciating pain, using tramadol just to function. He prescribed me the right antibiotics immediately and booked me in for emergency surgery within a few days. The wisdom teeth have gone and everything has healed up perfectly. I also got a much-needed implant done for a fraction of the price in the UK. Excellent service!

Undoubtedly an excellent doctor!!!Very thorough and caring. I was run out of time with my busy schedules during my short visit. When I explained my situation, he took it personally. He came to the surgery 7am in da morning to complete my implants. He is a magician. I'm terribly afraid of the some dentist and he’s very sensitive to that and goes the extra mile to ensure you feel comfortable. What a doctor!! Thank you so much doc!!! Dr. Karunadasa is a very kind hearted dentist who takes great care of his patients. I highly recommend him. I brought in my mother who is in a wheelchair and they were very helpful and accommodating to are needs.

Highly recommend Dr Ruwan for his dental wizardry. I have been to both clinics and apart from parking which is bit tricky in Pamamkada everything else is same as in Bambalabitiya and great.

Colombo Dental clinic maintains a very high standard in hygiene. The staff is always very courteous and helpful. Dr Ruwan is very good at what he does and is very kind and attentive . Always knows how to put his patients at ease . Never in a hurry to send you off. While at times we have had to wait a while to see him ( which is how it is with all dentists) sometimes we see him right on time. We are very satisfied with his services and happy to recommend him as one of the best in Colombo.
