This is the best place for study and go global from Sri Lanka's perspectives. You should be a CIMA student to join this organisation which combined with the American institute of CPA. They provide a various suporttive activities to gain a good knowledge about CIMA. But the staff is not that friendly, Usually they opens at 8.30 and closes at 4.30. Not loke the maps say. And thry always closed at weekends for any kind of a works. They have a whole new library for the use of members. Call before you go. It helps. And of course, they nevery answer the phone💥

The institute is the absolute worst now. The qualification aside, the CIMA team in Sri Lanka is very unhelpful. They are still operating online despite there being no quarantine or COVID - pandemic. For us to get anything done, we have to call and send emails that they never reply to. You give up after following up 5 times with different people each time. The best part of the institute which used to be the library is inaccessible. Very frustrating to the CIMA qualification.

The team that handles membership issues are not friendly and helpful. I wanted to get a letter before a deadline and I have still not received it after 3 weeks. No update from them and when I called them to get an update, one lady asked me to hold the line and rudely cut the line after 10 minutes.

Inefficient service. Have to follow up several times and visit multiple times to collect one transcript. Some government offices are doing a better job than this place.

One of the worst institutions for professional studies. While the country has lifted restrictions for even government institutions, these guys are too lazy to open their libraries or even front office. Closing the libary means most of the students wouldnt be able to access the necessary materials for exams. Better to consider alternative qualifications such as cim

Cima is a very much recommended professional body to follow. But Very bad experience had with a lady staff named surangani while applying for ACMA. She was very rude, not helpful and very unprofessional. They forget that they should be more helpful to people who reach cima division. It was really easy to contact CIMA UK and clarify things.

I have been trying to contact the Division for more than a month now and no one is responding to the emails or answering my calls. The service is non existent! The last update I got on the reopening of the library was that it's under reconstruction and will open soon but that was about 3 months ago. The staff really needs to either have a voicemail function or return every call! How disappointing!

The office working hours are 8.30am to 4.30pm and are closed on weekends. Not very helpful for its corporate members. Contrary to what you think the staff can be friendly if you give them the chance. The library and the study Hall are the most widely used aspects, you do have to be a CIMA student/member to enjoy them.

When I tried to contact the the CIMA division, a recording was played and it said that I would be connected with a staff member since they are working remotely. But call was directed to the guard room and security personnel said that no one is working and that he cannot help me with anything...

Before Every exam I usually visit the CIMA library. Library covers wide range of study materials such as text books, practice exams, audio tapes, magazines etc. Also the study hall is perfect to absorb the knowledge. As i self study this place was beneficial to dive deeper in to the curriculum of CIMA. Yet i see one draw back. That is a person who has obtained library membership in Kandy CIMA office cannot use the same membership for the Colombo one. May be CIMA should have one student database and give flexibility to use both with one universal card.

It's a great thing that CIMA has made this library available for their students. Library has a fully AC'ed large study area with power supply (charging points) and free water, conference area where students can interact and communicate, large covered parking, obviously the library where you can barrow books and many other facilities and supports. Very supportive staff and management who are very much flexible to your requests. I found this place as the best place to study if you are seeking calm and quite place with support. Toilets are not very clean and if there is a breakdown, it takes longer time than necessary to repair them. Fixing a curtain needs two days and fixing toilet hand shower needs more than three days. It's not complaint but that's what made me give four starts instead of five.

Qualification aside, the service pretty much has been down to the floor. My membership was requested to be renewed before 31st of March in order to continue with exams. However, due to CIMA’s own technical website issues I couldn’t successfully pay the fees for annual subscription. I tried with both cards and failed, which never happened previously. Well only solution is to contact the “Support Team”, after wave of 100 unanswered calls, they answered and said it’s a fault on my card. It cannot be as it works elsewhere and everywhere. Now due to no support, I have to pay the entire subscription fee plus new additional renewal fee, and other fees where I’m stuck without doing any exams. Overall, whole above point was to mention that I got zero help. They tried a bit which had zero again value.

Disappointing response from CIMA Sri Lanka staff. I suddenly received an email asking to pay additionally to regain my membership whereas I have paid my subscriptions also on time. When I checked My CIMA account it stated that my membership is lapsed since December 2022. Then I directed the issue to CIMA Sri Lanka Division who then mentioned that it's going to take two weeks for them to check on it (Not in a good tone as well). It has not happened previously with CIMA Sri Lanka staff who took action then and there and responded very promptly most of the time. I then decided by myself to use the chat option on CIMA Global and the chat partner resolved the matter just at the same time. The issue that was going to take two weeks for CIMA Sri Lanka to resolve got sorted within less than an hour directly via chat.
