I had a bad experience, I called and enquired about a product(mic stand) and the customer care operator mentioned that they have the product in stock and when I visited the shop they said product is out of stock. Also they made me to wait for long time , being one of the best shop in srilanka you should have a better way to check the stock and answer queries

I bought a microphone one year ago. After 11 months microphone didnt work. I handed over it to the Yamaha music center because it was withing the warranty period. Now, two months later they couldn't fix it. Now I am using a low quality microphone because of this. Customer service is very poor. I don't recommend this shop. Unfortunately untill today I didn't received a single call.There is a manager called Dammika. I called him than 20 times. He is very irresponsible.

Best place to buy instruments And superb sales assistance

Came here to buy a guitar last Thursday (3rd of September). I called several sales people to attend me. Waited there for around 20 mins. Not even a single person came forward to attend my inquiry. Left this place after 20 mins of waiting. Had to buy the guitar somewhere else. What's the point of having a big showroom and no one is interested in attending the customers??

I gave my guitar amp for repair. It's been almost 6 months now and still they haven't finished it. Customer service is very poor. I have called so many times to check the progress and they always say they'll call and confirm but they never do. Recently, they said I can pick it up in two days but when I went there after a week, it's still not finished and they said the same thing "you can pick it up in two days". Very unprofessional. Also now only I got the estimate for the repair, after they "claimed" they've finished the repair. I was never given an estimate beforehand and I thought that's how an estimate works. I have bought and recommended many instruments from yamaha but I'll think twice before I'll make another purchase. Very disappointed about the service coming from a reputed brand!

To be honest, This is the best experience purchasing music stuffs in my life.. warranty is totally covered!. My keyboard got stop working USB area. I was in worranty period , so they gave me a brand new keyboard instantly.. Just WOW!!! If I bought it in another shop except Yamaha music center, they will never give me brand new keyboard and I will have to wait at least one month to get fix my keyboard. I really appreciate Yamaha music center behavior... Will always stick with you guys! About customer service: - Some guys are great and others are getting better..

A great place with brilliant staff

Attitudes of the staff is unacceptable. They treat customers differently according to the language they speak. Sinhala speaking customers are mostly ignored like beggars and not properly attended. I experienced such a situation when I went there. I didn't want to show off by speaking in English because we all are Sri Lankans.

Yamaha is a renowned and a place where musicians go mad. The newest experience of touching a PSR SX900 was given to me by this wonderful place. Wonderful people, wonderful experience...Why won't you also be part of it?

Very expensive for services,they get Rs 2000 for inspection even there is nothing to check.And sent me the Rs 6000 estimate for just replace one speaker, and when i request only the speaker without repair they double the price for more than 3000 for that. By getting initial 2000 they know nobody return unrepaird instrument by wasting that money. So the customer has no other option and they have to agree what ever the estimate yamaha prepared.😡🤬🤬 women in the cashier called strictly when i talked about this estimate just like i am begging her to repair my organ free. And also my organ had so much dust and cover also missing.

The place is a great to checkout on your favourite instruments, strings, percussion, wind though i didn't see violins, flues or saxophones But there are 4 string bass-s, acoustic/semi acoustic guitars, electric guitars, keyboards, amplifiers, step paddles, bongos, drum sets, and accessories as well. You are free to try out any instrument, they will help you Eg: wanna try a guitar? They will plug the amp and tune it for you. One down side is when I go there today, most strings are slightly rusted and not changed. But the guitars and instruments themselves are pretty clean. There are few seats but it is not advice to take your backpacks in since there's no counter or rack to hold them. Either you place it on floor near the door or keep it in your vehicle or give it to your anti music friend. The staff is very knowledgeable with the instruments and mark that this isn't the place if your looking for cheap. All are branded, high end or high quality stock
