I will rate the overall experience at 3 starts. But I must say this place has a different vibe that you would love with a nice beach view. They have a decent beverage menu, but I must say they have a very limited food options. There’s less chicken and veg options. The food combinations/accompaniments can be reconsidered. For instance they give a normal bread as an accompaniment for bbq chicken. That can be changed to garlic bread because what they currently serve is too dry to eat. The taste of the food can be improved. The staff is good but I think they can improve their customer service being more friendly and supportive in attending to customers.

❕This is one place you'll have to make sure to reserve like a week or two ahead of time. An okay-ish place with a somewhat tropical-feeling backdrop. First thing we noticed was that the spot housed an agreeably nice set of seating arrangements for couples, friends, families, or any other social gatherings. Soon as we walked in, right after the usual temperature checkups we were guided to the seating we had reserved. But that. was. it. The whole staff seemed to forget we existed after we got seated. After waiting literally for about 30 minutes without even a menu served to us, we had to start looking around the whole area trying to hopefully grab the attention of a waiter, which we finally did. A friendly waiter provided us the menu & helped us choose. After that was the second chapter of our waiting game. In their defense, the place was packed to the brim. But considering the high-class aura of the place, such delays couldn't just be ignored. In the end, the served meals & beverages were palatable, thankfully.

The atmosphere was breathtaking. The navy ships docked next to the hotel played a major role. The service was great. However the food was not upto my expectations for the price paid. The drinks were good but price of beer was way above the market price as well. Defenitly hinders my plans for a second visit however it could be prices accordingly to ensure this area is kept mainly for guests or foreigners.

Not worth it at all! There is this flatbread thing and we ordered (picture attached) a spicy tuna flatbread. They gave us something like margarita pizza with coconut on top. There was no tuna at all. It was not at all spicy either. When inquired, they said “even though it’s called spicy tuna, the tuna comes with a coconut mixture” 🙄. So it was some coconut and tomato purée on a flat bread! Then the half chicken BBQ it like a quarter chicken. Super noisy and was not worth the money or time. Went on 17th October 2021 (dinner)

A place to be or a place to stay but enjoy will be word. Nice grill seafood with top ocean view, eat and hear the wawes. Ocean water in the Swimming pool, awesome ! It's like a taste of, come back !

The location is the only thing best here. Service Food and specially the annoying music is disturbing everyone this guy need to learn about out door themed music and the manager needs to get someone to do the sound distribution in a correct way. Am a 8 year international hoteliers and never seen such a thing anywhere.

i have visited firebeach 🔥 a few times with my friends and the vibe is different and nice. good for a chilled sunset session or date. but the prices are a bit high because mainly the pub caters for EXPATS in Sri Lanka and the Tourist crowd. Nevertheless The DJ plays some nice retro hits and you can surely have a good time. But make sure to make a reservation as they are fully booked by the end of the week.

Loved the ambiance and the location. The decors are bohemian themed. Lovely at sunset. Music was great. Had a good choice of drinks. But not many choices for food.

Super cozy restaurant with the nice ocean view. There were day beds along side the pool except for their seating area. They served delicious food which is worthy for the price we spent and prices were not high. Absolutely amazing spot for a hangout with friends or even for couples in the evening with chilling music. We ordered chili & garlic prawns from snacks & starters, BBQ cauliflower & cheese from salads & sides, Margarita and Fiery from Flatbreads from the oven, Half BBQ chicken from Firebeach BBQ, Chocolate mousse from Sweetness, and two Passion daiquiri, Strawberry daiquiri and a pina lada from their beverages. Chicken BBQ half potion was bit small and there was not a much variety of chicken in their menu. Staff also was friendly. We had a great time at firebeach.

Great place to spend a relaxed evening by the sea with a beautiful sunset view. Food was delicious, but expensive. The menu was also limited. Overall great experience and I loved the ambiance.

Definitely a place to vibe in the evening with a beautiful sunset (given the weather is good). Perfect to enjoy a few cocktails by the sea breeze. Attempted the Whiskey Sour and it was awesome. Food is of course good as expected. Prices are obviously on the upper end but would say it’s worth for the service provided. Could definitely capture a few instagram worthy photos in the meantime. The service is really good and reservations are not required generally.

Environment - I love the environment. Just take a beer and enjoy the sea view with great music. Food - I didn't get any food. Taste - No comments. Service - Good services. Location - Excellent location beside the Galle Face Green and beside the sea.

A beautiful location to grab a drink. The beach itself isn’t very nice and the cabanas / seating etc isn’t overly well maintained. Food and drinks were ok. Service was great. None guests can’t use the pool either which was a little disappointing as there’s no chance you will want to go in the sea. A nice place for sunset, nice music. Hey there early to grab a front row table to see the sun go down.

Nice relaxed beachfront with lashing waves and the noise of the ocean as the backdrop. Very picturesque location and a good array of drinks and finger food. Seating is open beach style formats and a warm service. Turnaround time a bit long. Dont miss the experience.

Really nice venue, absolutely rubbish customer service from our waiter... Literally gave us attitude continuously, worst service I have ever received. Food was average at best

The view is nice and all , but when is comes to food and beverages 🤮🤮🤮. Pretty disappointed cause no one would expected this type of poor quality food from the Galle Face Hotel. Not worth the price at all. The Drinks were yaaaaak 🤢🤮. Service was somewhat ok. So I personally do not recommend anyone to go there. Management should look into this matter cause , I guess I'm not the only one complaint about food here.

Very beautiful place. A little pricey but nice ambiance and view. Relax atmosphere, a little noisy to enjoy the sunset and beach waves but still a good moment spent there

Friendly customer service, very easy to find. Better during sunset. Amazing view. A tip for you: Do not go anywhere while keeping your food, otherwise the crows might take it.

Great place for a captivating dining experience by the ocean. Great ambience with the sound of waves and a beautiful view of the ocean. The relaxed atmosphere makes it a great place for a memorable evening with your loved ones or friends. Delicious food, but the menu can improve a bit in terms of variety. A friendly heads up, keep an eye on the crows – they might sneak a bite of your food! Overall, it's an excellent place for a casual hangout.

My wife and I have eaten here a couple of times while staying at the Galle Face Hotel. The food had always been excellent. The cocktails are ok but not great. It's priced like you're in Europe so be prepared. The view is fantastic as you're 30 feet from the sea.

Nice place to relax and have the evening cup of coffee or a mocktail or cocktail glass and enjoy the sunset with the sunset ceremony and all. Also highly recommend the menu to go through and buy the supper snack out of the box. Their Mr Slim mocktail seems to drain all the sugar levels inside your body. Highly recommend for the same reason. Galle Face Hotel has been a place of amazing delicacies anyways. Firebeach restaurant also living upto that standard of affairs.

I'll give it a 3-star rating. Firstly, the beach location is calm and nice, making it a romantic place to visit with your partner. The atmosphere, with its lit-up lamps and soothing sounds, provides a great vibe. The customer service is good and supportive. However, I found the food menu to be limited, and the portions were small. Additionally, it would be helpful if the menu prices included taxes, as they were not specified, but the taxes were included in the final bill.

Ambience is great. Cocktails barely has any alcohol. :s

I don't know why there were many bad reviews, ambiance is super. Absolutely love this place. Food and drinks came in so fast. And the food for super delicious. Good portions. Staff was lovely.

Yesterday me and my friends went to this place to enjoy our vacation . The scenic beauty around here is quite good. But the foods and the staff of this place is very disappointed. I ordered one espresso and my friends ordered one ice tea and ice coffee But these was the worst drinks I have ever tasted. because I can't guarant about the quality as same as the taste about those foods. 😑We expected very respectable staff members and quality foods like other hotels.but unfortunately my all hopes were currupted after coming this place. 😑
