This place is NOT FOR FEMALE SOLO TRAVELLERS. Rooms are very clean but what's the point if bathrooms are NOT attached and it is not clearly mentioned on the website. They say private bathroom but it doesn't mean attached. They are 10 meters away. Also the place attracts lot of local men, drinking crowd. They use the same washroom as dorm people. That is not right.

If you’re visiting colombo this place is the only hostel you should try! I booked another hostel but as soon as i got there I realized that they don’t have lockers🤣 I came here so hopeles but daaaamn man this place is the best hostel that I’ve ever been to! They have a restaurant with awesome meals and if you’re into art you see lots of mind blowing artwork… Staff are professional and nice Bed was clean,comfortable and private, I couldn’t take a shower with hot water but restroom was clean as well Thank you guys for such a lovely stay

We organized a bride to be function at Lost and Found Colombo Hostel and Cafe..the place was undisturbed and it was very spacious for a small function..I want to thank Mr.Indika, the manager of the hotel and also the staff..they were really helpful and always there to arrange what we needed...we ordered the breakfast and the lunch...the food was very delicious and well served.. customer service is more than 100% perfect..really enjoyed our function there..i really recommend this place for your function..

This is a nice place to dine in as well as for a stay. I have been staying here for two days and the main plus was the host/the manager. I had a very late check in and the following day I had to get some work done. Indika Anura was helpful in all the possible ways to make sure that I have a good time there. The dorms: Normal price of a dorm bed at colombo is 2000 LKR (10-11$) at the time according to my experience whereas this place is 2600 LKR (13-14$) but trust me that this place is worth it. Comfortable beds, personal locker, towel along with all the necessities are in place. Best dorm experience I have got around Colombo so far. Washroom is clean and well maintained. Also the showers are spacious enough. The kitchen and dining place: Limited menu but the chef Pathum was kind enough to suggest what’s good to try from their menu. Dining area is a nice outdoor place but with a roof. Food wasn’t the best I have tried but it was good and decent enough. So a good place to hangout/catch up as well. Overall a perfect stay. Tips: - Call and inform the manager in advance before hopping down there with the time. - Carrying your own toiletries would hell to maintain your personal hygiene. - If the air conditioning is too cool make sure to adjust it before you fall asleep as you don’t want to wake up shivering.

Small stop in Colombo, that wasn't the best choice of our holiday. The bathroom wasn't that clean but the room was ok. They had some party or karaoke downstairs, was pretty loud to sleep before 1 am.

Good staffs and reception. There are private rooms and dorm rooms available. We stayed in a private room but the bathroom was located few steps away from our room. That was a discomfort for us.

I booked a large double-bed Hotel room from the call, but also they have online bookings. Anyway, the quality of the room was superb; the bed was comfortable, soft, and larger than I expected. Also, the room was larger than I expected. Safety place for everyone and especially for couples. They have a privet bathroom for one room (i was booked it that day), and other rooms have shared bathrooms. The Bathroom is smaller than I expected, but the quality was impressive; it also has a hot and cold water shower, two towels, and liquid soaps. Customer service was very friendly and kind. We went hotel before the one hour, but they gave us our room and keys before our time started. They got our ID cards and a photocopy of them (after getting a photocopy of them, they gave it back to us), and They also got my mobile number, address and signature before the room was given to us. here are the only three problems I faced, 01. they don’t have a private parking space. So, we have to park our vehicle on the road near the hotel entrance. 02. they haven’t hairdryers in the room, like some other hotels. 03. I encountered some difficulty locating the place. The lack of clear directions or signage made it challenging to find. But never mind those problems because other good things are more impressive than expected. Also, the price is not cheap or expensive; it is reasonable for this comfortable.

We had a late lunch/early dinner here after a long day. Portions of the kottu are huge! Very tasty food! Exceptional service from the café staff.

If it wasn’t for the exceptional service I would be rating it below average. Had lunch there & food was lovely, and portion was massive! I arrived with no booking & they had a bunk bed available. Bed was comfy, but room had 10 beds in! Showers worked well. If you’re looking for a budget friendly place to crash, this is it. Hotel staff went out of their way to make me feel comfortable & helped me with my phone sim too.

Love this place! Very clean rooms & super friendly staff. It was my first stop in Sri Lanka and the manager helped me to book my bus to Trinco. Thank you again. See you soon!

A good place for people who are looking for budget rooms, to spend the night around Colombo.

We, a couple from Austria enjoyed it. It's a clean hotel with cool rooms. Very good for the price. The man in the lobby did a very good job and always helped us with our wishes

Great place and great staff, I was able to check in in the evening eventhough I didnt have reservation, the staff was always super helpful and keen to help and provide advices about the city. The room was super clean and comfortable. Highly recommendable!

Great place to stay, with clean rooms and a nice pace outside. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Indika even helped me find some traditional garments. The cook made really good kottu, which I recommend, same holds for the breakfast. Will definitely stay there again when I am in Colombo.

I love everything about this place except that the walls are so thin than i can hear Indian guests hanging in the cafe acting like they own the place. Stayed for a night and sooo many annoying Indian tourists that do not know any boundaries and limits. I wish this hostel implemented stricted quiet time and shut down their cafe earlier.

Calm and quiet place in the middle of Colombo. They have nice dining area and also lodging facilities. The food was top class and was more than what we expected. The prices were affordable and worth it. Can conveniently reach the place via any mode of transport.

Stayed here July 2021, the staff was more than accommodating and super friendly. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and different every day. The hotel was super clean. They also helped me organise a taxi to my next destination. I have already booked my stay there for the next time I am back in Colombo. Conveniently located also!

Absolutely recommend it! The dorm has a comfortable bed, small lockable wardrobe, AC and a clean bathroom (everything was super-clean) - all you need. There are few tables to sit outside and despite being close to the center, you feel quite off the city. The main reason to stay there is the people, who run it - the manager arranged me a pick up from the airport, who called it off. So the manager went himself and picked me up at 6:30 am! The food was tasty, the chef funny and chatty! Thank you, guys, this was truly an amazing start of my stay here in Sri Lanka!

They have full rooms as well as hostel beds available. I got myself a hostel bed, which was very spacious, and had a locker beside. My parents chose the room for their stay. The bathrooms are big and clean. The food absolutely deserves a mention! I'd highly recommend staying here.

Awesome cheap hotel, Indika, the manager, is an awesome guy, who can literally solve any of your problems. Clean bathroom,spacious rooms(we tried two of them), reasonable prices. Highly recommend! Also if you happen to come by during perahera, it is 3 minutes walk to the perahera street.

If you are in Colombo the Lost and Found hostel is a must-stay; the staff are so lovely and accommodating and will go out of their way to help you with anything. The rooms are clean and the beds very comfortable. The location is also perfect for access to great bars on a night out and you can get a door key to come back at any time in the morning! We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay both times we were here - I would recommend this hostel to anyone, thanks for everything :)
