Sri Lanka Sumithrayo

Mental health service

👍👍 Happen to run in to this organization probably around 7:30 PM. Went inside and ran into this wonderful lady with a big heart. She gladly explained the role of this institute and the sheer service they provide for any who contact them. I was truly amazed to see their dedication and passion

Sri Lanka Sumithrayo is a government approved charity founded in 1974, by late Mrs. Joan De Mel and was incorporated by Act of Parliament No.10 of 1986. Srilanka Sumithrayo are registered members of Befrienders Worldwide and function as a non-political, non-religious organization focused on providing emotional support to help those at risk of suicide. If you feel emotionally overwhelmed please know we are here for you. Give us a call, visit any of our centres or drop us an email. It is never too late to reach out.

Sri Lanka Sumithrayo is an organization that began around 40 years (maybe early 1980s) and provides free voluntary counseling to those who are depressed and even suicidal. Their service to society is vast and cannot be estimated mainly because the organization does not boast its achievements. They also run centers in other cities. They also visit Hospitals, Homes for the aged and other such places where people need re-assurances to living and cheering-up
