Dear Columbus, this park is a beautiful piece of property with a ton of potential. Unfortunately it's also one of the worst maintained parks in relation to the area it serves I have ever been to. Please do better. Here are some samples of the many issues. Obviously didn't take pictures of the horrible bathrooms.

I feel bad that I was so focused on seeing the covered bridge that I completely spaced out and missed the observation tower while I was here. The park is lovely, a big green space with some sporting features including tennis courts, picnic shelters, playgrounds, horseshoe pits and basketball courts. You should also check out the amphitheater. The park is located in an oxbow bend in the Flatrock River, so it's surrounded by peaceful slow-flowing water (which did flood quite high a few years ago).

It was beautiful and very peaceful. I was in town for a conference and the came up as a site to see. I enjoyed it immensely. Lots of sculptures to see. An observation tower to check out the view. There's an old covered bridge that made for great pictures. There was a couple jet offs where you could be above the river.

Large park that includes walking trails, large open areas for picnics or other activities. It also has river access. There is a fun covered bridge to drive over. There is a large pond with fish to feed and other wooded trails to explore. A playground area is also available for the kiddos. Don’t forget to climb the observation tower as well. We have enjoyed this park many times when visiting Columbus.

Beautiful park!! Great host for a marathon and 5k this morning. Always enjoy this beautifully kept park. Always well maintained and clean. I get lots of steps walking this park and appreciate the clean bathrooms. There are several walking paths and plenty of opportunities to get in some stairs.

Quiet, pleasant park. Nice put in for tubes and kayaks. Large area for walking the river. Great place to bring your dog as well!

Park was mostly clean, playground equipment working, and in good shape, bathrooms relatively clean for being outside. Beaches were a little trashy, but that's to be expected when people dont care about their surroundings. It was a beautiful day overall.

Very large and spacious pet friendly park. It has many trails to run through. Large open areas to play some football or soccer in; or maybe fly a kite or drone. Few hills to roll down from or sled from. Many places to just sightsee as well, with some history of the place too that you can read on the plaques that are scattered around the park. Overall, this park is an absolute gem to go to. As long as you don't need to use the restroom. There are porta potties located right outside the restrooms that you must use, due to the actual restrooms being locked. I do not know why this is yet, but what i do know however, is that the porta potties can be nightmare inducing. Beware when you go to one, you'll never know what you'll discover when you open the door. For this, i bump down 1 star. That said, I would highly recommend going to this park if you have not done so yet. What little amount I described, does this park no justice. So attached to this review are a few pictures of a few spots located in the park.

Love this park! A great place with plenty of options to keep yourself entertained. If you love to walk, there are trails and sidewalks around the park and in the woods. Nice lake and a wooden bridge which is a great spot for pics! Or you can go by the river and fish. Plenty of bathrooms and playgrounds and even a stage area for events!

Nice Park, with paved walking trails, several playgrounds, picnic tables, bathrooms, lots of grassy areas, nostalgic covered bridges, modern architectural structures, and river access for kayak enthusiast and fellow rock hounders. Lots of time spent there.

👍👍 One of the most impressive museums dedicated to the Infantry and maneuver. Check out the poppy fields art exhibit; has a theater with IMAX, third in the state, restaurant is not yet reopened but it is nice. Amazing exhibits. Very proud to work for the military
