We were in Columbus for a weekend and found this dog park. During winter time only the smaller gravel place is open. Other dog owners seem nice though.

Dog park located in Victorian Village with two play areas. One area is gravel rock and perfect for those were muddy days. The main area is perfect space for dogs to run and burn some energy.

Friendly park with large spaces to play and a fountain for fresh water. Most owners watch their fur babies but just like any park there’s a few that don’t correct their overzealous children. Overall it’s one of the best we visit.

This is a great dog park with consistently good dog people. We have been over a dozen times and never had a problem with poorly behaved dogs. It does tend towards bigger dogs so if your smaller one is timid they may not enjoy themselves fully. The groundskeepers do a great job of reviving the grass when sections switch. In winter there's only a small portion open but it's enough to get a run in. There's a water den with a heavy flowing fountain and numerous collective bowls for hydration.

Sides rotate to ensure the fields have time to recover and stay grassy. They have a spicket for water. It is not always on be sure to bring your own water just incase. The biggest down fall is that the park is seasonal. Most of the owners are responsible.

As a frequent visitor to the dog parks in Columbus, I recently had the delightful opportunity to explore a local gem that stood out for its exceptional features. This particular dog park, nestled in a serene and easily accessible location, is a haven for canine enthusiasts and their furry companions. From the moment you approach the park, the well-maintained environment is immediately apparent. The grounds are impeccably clean, showing clear signs of regular maintenance and care. This attention to cleanliness not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also ensures a healthy and safe environment for the dogs to frolic. One of the park's most commendable aspects is its thoughtful design, particularly the separation of areas for small dogs from those for standard-sized breeds. This segregation is vital for the safety and comfort of smaller breeds, allowing them to play and interact without the intimidation or risk posed by larger dogs. The small dog area is spacious enough to provide ample room for play while still being cozy and secure. Safety is a paramount concern at this dog park, and it shows in every detail. The fencing is robust and well-maintained, ensuring that dogs are contained safely within the park's boundaries. Additionally, the gates are designed to prevent accidental escapes, giving dog owners peace of mind while their pets are off-leash. The location of the park is another feather in its cap. Situated in a peaceful area, it is easily accessible by various modes of transportation, making it a convenient choice for dog owners across Columbus. The surrounding neighborhood exudes a welcoming atmosphere, contributing to the overall positive experience. In summary, this dog park in Columbus is a testament to what a canine recreational area should be. Its cleanliness, thoughtful design, emphasis on safety, and convenient location make it an ideal destination for dog owners. The park's commitment to accommodating dogs of all sizes, particularly with the separate areas for small and standard-sized dogs, is especially praiseworthy. It's a place where both owners and their four-legged friends can enjoy themselves thoroughly, feeling comfortable and secure in a beautifully maintained environment.

Absolutely huge dog park with tons of friendly people and even friendlier dogs. On-site water fountain for hot days and thirsty pups, and pickup bags bear trash cans for messes your dog may leave. Great park overall

This is one of the nicer dog parks within the city limits for a few reasons. Parking is easy, they have several entrances and exits as well as clean running water to fill bowls. The park has several hills for dogs to wander and explore which is nice for active and chills dogs alike. My favorite part of Wheeler park is all of the old growth trees providing lots of shaded areas for doggies and humans alike.

Nice park good people friendly pups. Other then the muscle head guy.. And the sprinklers system went hay wire and sprayed us all lol

Very nice park. During the afterwork crowd the sprinklers were all on in the little dog section, so my small dogs could only play in the large dog area which was a little scary because there were so many really big breeds there. There were a few other small dogs but it would have been safer if both sections had been available.

Great dog park! They have two sides that they swap between regularly. Always a good mix of dogs there and have found other owners to be very responsible and easy going. There are water stations for the dogs (though you need to bring a bowl), a couple benches for the humans, and poop bags are available if you forget yours. There's usually plenty of street parking around the park.

Great dog park. They normally have poop bags in case you forget to bring some. Lots of room to run and play with the puppers.

A beautiful park (when they open it up). Only complaints are that it was closed for way too long (November to May! Geez!) and in the evening, around 5 to 7, there are so many people and dogs that it gets chaotic. Any other time it's a great place to spend time with your pooch! (But seriously. This is the only park I can take my dog to. OPEN IT BEFORE MAY NEXT YEAR!)

We’ve only been three times and I’ve hated it all three. It’s been over crowded every time and the dogs aren’t separated. It’s great for smaller or medium size dogs but I do not recommend it for large dogs or dogs with a lot of energy. Everyone is very nice though and it’s well kept.

Just in town visitin..nice day out 27 April 22. Only small gravel area is open. No seating area or water. Big grass area looks beautiful with benches and fountain but it's closed unfortunately 😢

Need to open all parks so bigger dogs don't injure the smaller dogs.

Very well maintained, glad to see the city investing in additional space for rotation/recovery.

Let’s just say … it’s most definitely the number one dog park… And I say that based on the amount of people with their dogs there.. We arrived and it was more than 60 people and 60 dogs … Very very busy

Love this park. It's been around longer than when dog parks were popular! I especially enjoy the amounts of shade. It's a beautiful place

Nice little park. Not so many kids and families as the other parks, but that's probably the neighborhood.

This place is awesome. People are tentative to their dogs and the place is kept very clean. Having a bad day? Go here for a dose of happiness. You don't even need a dog.
