We went to see the band TOTO performing. Entrance procedure was very well organised. The venue is wonderful and the show superb.

The seats are not comfortable at all (stone) and the sun was behind the scenario, so it was difficult to see the artsis until the sun came down. On some places of the sound wasn't good.

Catch any show here! Jazz fest was an awesome experience - so cool to be able to sit in such an ancient and still functional theater. Bring a seat cushion. Parking in the city may not be easy but note that if you don’t want to wait for the 1am back to Lyon you will have very little options as we could not find an Uber or taxi out. It worth getting there early or staying late to visit the courtyard nearby.

Fantastic place and experience i had here, brilliant for concerts and festivals, (the Romans knew what they were doing when they built these places.)

This Theatre is in use today for a wide variety of concerts. For 2 euros you can visit and walk around the site which dates back to 40-50 AD

Another well-preserved display of Roman architecture that was (re)discovered in the last century. It makes you want to yell, “Are you not entertained?” from the stage, even if in “The Gladiator,” that was done on circuses/coliseums and not in amphitheaters. For those needing a workout, I recommend climbing all the way up to the top - buns of steal for free! When you’re back on the streets, look out for tiny copper circles on the floor with a sort of a tree motive: follow these markers around Vienne for other beautiful things to see!

Great visit if you've never seen a Roman theater before. Otherwise, just average. Gates were locked when I visited 2 times. However, there's a better view above. It's been retrofitted for modern shows and looks like a great venue for that.
