Super nice when the tide is down! You can walk along the rocks and see plenty of starfish, crabs and find lots of shells!

Popular spot to look out to the ocean and mainland. Often, people come here to hopefully see whales (orcas, humpbacks, dolphins, etc), seals, eagles, and the herring hatchery. There is a boat launch area and parking right off the road. When whales are spotted the information is shared on social media groups and the parking fills up fast. Going north along the shore will take you to more sandy and remote beach. Pretty heavily populated with bald eagles up in the trees along the bluffs. Good area for night sky photography too.

Awesome view from the Shore line. Boat ramp for small boat. Tide goes way out, walk the beach or sit at a table. Excellent place to chill... Some people were not very friendly though.

Good place to go sit in your car n watch the waves or go for a walk. Easy walking path or hit the beach via stairs. You can even walk a few logs if you've got it in you. I like walking the rocks to give myself a challenge (hoping I don't sprain an ankle 😊)

Beautiful beach and water to explore! Folks are swimming and paddle boarding to their hearts content. Grab a coffee and sit and watch the tide come in or out, walk along the path or enjoy lunch under the shelter. Boat launch present also.

Come when the tide is out to find beach, but watch for rocks on the way.

Very scenic. Lots of eagle activity for birders to see. Squabbling and what not. Very aggressive behavior. Lots of parking and a great view of the island mountains plus the islands in the strait. But don't take my word for it. Get off your backside and check it out for yourself. Don't forget to support some of the local establishments. They'll be happy to see you.

Lovely place regardless of weather. Walk the fine rocks at lowtide, Sunbathe on the sandy spots, launch what have you from the boat ramp.

This is a phenomenal picnic spot!! I watched six adult Bald Eagles chase two year old Bald Eagles out of the area. I listened to seals, smelled salt air, and watched one wave after another roll onto the share! Magic!

Point Holmes in Comox BC is a fantastic location to visit and explore. Despite occasional disruptions from inconsiderate visitors, the area is well worth a visit for anyone interested in experiencing the natural beauty of the Comox Valley. The highlight of Point Holmes is undoubtedly the sea lions, and watching them sunbathe and play in the water is a memorable experience. Additionally, the location is popular for birdwatching, with a variety of species to observe. While the presence of disruptive visitors can be frustrating, it's important for all of us to be mindful of our impact on these fragile ecosystems and to take steps to minimize our disruption. Overall, I would highly recommend a visit to Point Holmes for anyone interested in exploring the natural beauty of British Columbia. The stunning views and diverse range of wildlife make for an unforgettable experience.

Beautiful panoramic view with a walkway above the beach area. There are benches along the walk to sit and enjoy the view. There are portable toilets in one area with a covered pucnic area. Great place to watch sunrise and moonrise.

Beautiful area with well maintained path with benches to walk, kayak, or just sit and take in the beautiful view. Lots of sea life, birds, and wild flowers to see.

A rocky beach with a public boat ramp. There's a walking path alongside the road that has a couple areas to sit and view the sea. I wouldn't recommend for swimming unless it's a really low tide as the rocks and seaweed can make it slippery. There's a covered area with a couple picnic tables.

Point Holmes is a place I also grew up going to as it is fun for kids of all ages! The sandy beach access when the tide is low, the boat launch (very slippery this year on low tide) and lots of rocks and mini tide pools where kids can find little crabs and other sea critters and shells. Always seals and sometimes sea lions too! Great beach for storm watching also.

We went for a therapy swim session in 12 degree water. It was beautiful and so peaceful. Beautiful spot...look forward to going back in warmer weather

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Hands on farm is awesome! I was there over 30 years ago and was able to bring my own son after this many years was a really cool experience. They hire young volunteer staff members who seem to have a lot of fun on the job. Highly recommend for a family outting.
