I love the chill atmosphere and the baristas are super nice. Their Captain Jack iced latte is a must get. They have amazing house made syrups as well as a nice variety of pastries and desserts. We love to stop in when we’re in Cookeville.

Always been the best best coffee shop in Cookeville. Highly recommend trying it out, they usually keep something sweet to eat on hand.

This is an amazing local roaster. If you are a frequent coffee drinker and traveling through the Cookeville area. Vertical will take care of all of your caffeine coffee needs. They have an amazing specialty list that has some season drinks as well. The Swanson and the Heat Waves cold foam cold brew was a favorite among our group. This is high quality coffee drinks with a great service and decent seating. The atmosphere is small town with some group areas and free parking outside the coffee shop. Highly recommend for any and all coffee stops! This seems to be the only place that is this quality in driving distance of most of Cookeville.

My friend and I stopped in here while waiting on a pizza tonight and ordered a couple of their January specials (highly recommend the fruity pebbles if you like sweet). We did not read the door with their hours and inadvertently popped in right at closing. Not only were the coffees absolutely delicious, but the staff were all incredibly friendly and never once made us feel like we were holding them up (which we were totally doing 🤦‍♀️). As soon as we realized, we dipped pretty quickly with our yummy drinks. 10/10 will go back... in actual open hours lol

Came to vertical honestly not expecting much, and it definitely exceeded my expectations. Service was great! Coffee was pretty good. Very unique options, and flavors. Atmosphere was okay. Overall, I am satisfied with my trip to vertical.

Excellent spot, great roasters on-site, and they make a mellow cortado! I highly recommend the cortado or their cold brew coffee.

Vertical Coffee is the best coffee shop in the Cookeville area. There roasted coffee has unique variety with classic flavor notes. There new space is about to open up, and when it does it will be a destination coffee shop! There flavored drinks also are unmatched. (Captain Jack and The Dough Boy are my favorites) One last note: their baristas are so kind and friendly, which you wouldn’t think would make it onto many reviews. However, it is worth noting how gracious and kind they are!

Very good coffee. The atmosphere was nice and quiet the day I was sitting in the coffee shop with a friend. Good variety of coffees to choose from although I prefer a simple good hot coffee with cream and stevia. Check it out.

I’ve always liked Vertical’s coffee, but their old location left a little to be desired. However, since opening this new location, they’ve become a staple in my weekly routine. It is SOOO beautiful! And their employees and customers make it a warm, friendly place to spend time. After visiting there 3 or 4 times in the past two weeks, I’m already feeling like a regular and looking forward to mornings I can grab my laptop, get a fantastic cup of coffee, and spend an hour there getting work done and enjoying the atmosphere. Thanks so much for the effort you guys have put into making this a welcoming, community-building environment! ❤️

The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. I had a Summer Breeze and a sausage and cheese biscuit. Both were delicious!

I’m in here at least once a week if not more. And when I’m not I’m making my coffee at home with their beans. Seriously the best cold brew and cold foam I’ve ever had and I look forward to their specials every month. All the employees are super friendly and inviting as well AND their new space is gorgeous! I just love ‘em!

By far the best coffee shop in middle Tennessee! If you are in Cookeville, it’s a must stop. Love the owners and all the employees are very pleasant. I was a VERY loyal Starbucks customer until I came here… I truly prefer Vertical over Starbucks now. The people are great and most of (if not all) their syrups/sauces are made in house. Highly recommend!

Been here many times. Super friendly staff... Great place to stay while you sip your coffee. College atmosphere as it's close to Tennessee Tech university. Good music. Be sure to pick up a bag of coffee too...oh and if you have a drip coffee machine, they will grind it up on the spot! Definitely recommend a visit!
