I’m a big fan of this place. My wife is 100% vegan and they have several dairy free ice creams that you can make into shakes! They also have an amazing selection of ice creams for kids. Colorful, fun ice creams like “Cookie Monster” which my daughter loves! Lots of cool cartoony art work on the walls. Oh and if you are a vegetarian they have a couple sandwiches that we can eat! Really cool family environment. My personal favorite thing is the Turtle Sundae. It’s probably the best sundae I’ve ever had.

Kids love this place. Best ice cream!! They have sandwiches now but never tried them. Shakes are good and you can get them made with any of their flavors. They make so many different types of ice cream, so many good ones!!

I wish the ice cream was firmer. ( I prefer to eat my ice cream with a fork. I know, strange) Other than that, this shop is Spectacular. Always clean. Smiling faces, even when it's packed. Flavors are Unique & Delicious. Taste samples are happly given freely, but be warned.....the more you taste, the harder your decision will be!!! They also have a good selection of fresh sandwiches. Join the Loyalty program & "work" towards finding your favorite!

This is one of if not the best ice cream place in Cookeville, I had just enough sitting indoors and outdoors to sit a couple of families. The ice cream tastes a lot better than what you find in store aisles. It could use more interior decor though and the design looks like a farmhouse extension which is okay but could look better.

Absolutely Delicious ice cream and ice cream milkshake. We had a milk chocolate ice cream and chocolate mouse + double vanilla milkshake which probably the best I have ever had!! Definitely recommend it to anyone traveling on I40!

Awesome ice cream place! Love the view from the top of the hill. They have a really nice area to sit outside with outdoor lights. The wood bench has seen better days. I ordered a 2 scoop waffle cone with peppermint cookie and white chocolate toffee. Both ice creams were delicious. I was fully satisfied with my selections. My husband ordered a cyclone. He said it was far better then Dairy Queen. We love that it is so close to where we live so it is a very short drive. We will come here many times over again.

Homemade ice cream lots of flavors to choose from. Decent prices and sizes on everything. Kids and I frequent here enough to give it a 5 star haven't yet been disappointed.

Delicious fresh icecream, made there in store! The customer service was excellent, the girl that served my icecream was helpful and was very nice about me trying multiple flavors until I made up my mind what I wanted! The sandwich I got was also delicious!

Fantastic ice cream. It's a cute little shop with great seating outdoor in the summer. I had their Iced Coffee ice cream and it was great. Good place for a date or to bring your family.

Delicious ice cream!!! We had a hot fudge Sunday with chocolate peanut brittle ice cream, chocolate cone and a chocolate milk.. everything was so good!! Nothing like real ice cream!! Definitely recommend it!!

A friend introduced me to The Lazy Cow a few weeks ago. The personnel were gracious, the products and choices were plentiful. Pricing was as expected in a high quality specialized business. I especially appreciated not having a 'forced' tipping policy. Instead there was a Fish Bowl on the side with a very politely worded 'tip request' note on it.. I can't remember the wording but I do remember that it impressed me greatly. We/I had a wonderful time there.. and did a bit of goofing as we were leaving (see photo). I will be bringing any/all visiting friends and relatives here for a treat.

They have everything we need for our family to have a one stop ice cream trip. Gluten-free and dairy free options. Tastes amazing too.

Excellent locally made ice cream with plenty of shaded outdoor seating. They have dozens of flavors and keep the available flavors updated on their website as well. The prices are quite reasonable and they are doing their best to keep things appropriately socially distant in their store. Overall, a great place to stop for ice cream!

Always delicious. I can't visit often since I have an addiction to their wonderful ice cream. Glad to see Oat Milk vegan ice cream on the menu!! I'll be trying on my next visit.

I had the pecan crunch ice cream as always it was good and I ended up getting the swiss sandwich with coleslaw and the fruit punch lemonade drink and it was all so good. My 3 kids and I love coming here. All the employees are so nice and welcoming.

It is literally the BEST ice cream in Cookeville! It might even be the best in the country!! I’m not even joking. The staff is friendly, and the flavors are outstanding. The ice cream is always rich and creamy, and I have never had a bad experience here. I cannot recommend the Lazy Cow enough!

Well-stuffed deli sandwiches, smooth, rich ice cream for dessert. I tried the Bourbon Walnut...really nice! Friendly, hard-working staff, relaxing and clean dining area. We will be back to try more flavors!

By far the best ice cream I’ve ever had. My girlfriend and I had to run some errands in Cookeville, and she pointed out Lazy Cow saying she’s always driven by but never stopped to try it. Today we stopped. The staff was incredibly friendly, and willing to let us sample any flavor. She got a scoop of sweet cream and I got a scoop of chocolate milk. They were the most generous scoops I’ve ever seen. We enjoyed our ice cream outside on a picnic bench while children ran around happily enjoying fresh ice cream cones. It was an amazing experience and even better ice cream. Next time I want to stop by around lunch to try their sandwiches; they looked fabulous!

I love ice cream cones. This was the BEST CONE EVER! Butter pecan crunch. Met with a new customer here in Cookeville today. Hope to make Lazy Cow a regular stop.
