Worst dining experience. Sat at a table for 2 close to the bar for an entire hour, 3 different waiters randomly stopped by, no drink refills, no bread, we had to get a waiter’s attention to get some service. Place settings were dirty and stained. After an hour waiting, food never arrived (burger and salmon tacos). We ended up leaving after the order never arrived. Michael Hyatt, restaurant manager stopped by the table, didn’t offer any apologies, only stating the food would be right out. Hyatt is the rudest, most careless, thoroughly incompetent restaurant manager I’ve ever encountered. Will never return after having filed a complaint with Neiman Marcus corporate headquarters. This location is garbage.

Always a lovely experience to dine at Mariposa. From the turn overs and chicken broth to the entrees. This trip was especially nice thanks to our server Alejandro. We will be back.

Mariposa has been my favorite restaurant for a long time- and there are several aspects which draw me back every year for my birthday dinner! Location- One of my favorite parts of visiting the restaurant is the fact that it is on the top floor or Neiman Marcus at Merrick Park. Right next to the restaurant is an array of fascinating displays. My favorite time to visit is during the fall/winter since the best decorations and displays are up: Christmas decorations! They have everything from Christmas treats to ornaments to automatic carousels. The walk towards Mariposa never disappoints! Service- Time and time again the servers are more than kind when taking my order. Often, they joke around with me and my family, which creates an inviting atmosphere. During my most recent Birthday dinner at Mariposa, I had an amazing sever/waiter called Alejandro who was both attentive and charismatic. He made my day when he gave me a small container of my favorite soup to go! Food- The food is amazing! They provide a culinary experience by starting your meal with a phenomenal chicken broth and fluffy bread with strawberry butter. Their soups never disappoint- from the broth to lentil soup to lobster bisque! Their ceasar salad, crab pasta, classic burger, and salmon tacos are absolutely mouth-watering and i cannot recommend them enough! My favorite way to end my meal is with their warm chocolate chip cookies!

Very bad from the beginning. All started with the hostess...she was very negative, unprofessional, and rude. We had a issue getting a table outside after we waited. Hostess was very outspoken after I asked to speak to the manager. I'm telling you, my fiancée lost his appetite. I didn't want to leave because we have been there plenty of times before and it was always good. Big mistake, the service was just horrible. We waited a long time for our food and I got my drink after all the food was served. On top of that my drink was bad! Bad experience at Mariposa for sure.

I went with my husband and the atmosphere and the food was very good, and the service was excellent. Gerardo attended us, what a great human being and what excellent service from him. We love it!!

We have been coming here for many years. It has special memories. The people who work there are so kind and the food is excellent. Dierisch, a waiter there, always goes the extra mile. He remembers our order, is so kind, and just makes you feel special. Just like Cathy, who greets you at the front - her kindness radiates. Mariposa's food is excellent and healthy meals are prepared - it always has a most excellent, welcoming and caring staff. Thank you, Dierish, for always delivering excellence and great caring. Mariposa is a Miami treasure. They just need longer hours. Please go back to your pre-pandemic hours! Thanks for the greatness!

We had a great experience. Geraldo was very attentive and so much fun. The food was delicious and arrived within a reasonable and short time. Everyone was very pleasant from the host to all of the servers and staff in the restaurant. Would recommend this restaurant highly.

We had lunch at Mariposa this weekend to celebrate my husband's birthday. Everything was excellent...the ambiance, the food, and the service! Gerardo, our server, was wonderful and made our lunch extra special. He was very attentive, professional, and friendly! Michael Hyatt, the Manager at Mariposa is fantastic...he oversees his restaurant and makes sure everything runs smoothly and is very personable!

First time dining here and the food was great. The service was even better - Gerardo is such a sweetheart! He made our experience super enjoyable. Highly recommend.

A very bad service at list today the front host not proper train to deal with clients, we waited 20 minutes and not event a glass of water. Went ask for manager it also take 10 minutes to come out . Unbeliever.

Not a place for a quick lunch even outside of regular lunch hours. Waited 45 min for a table even though they originally estimated 30 min. We were seated in a corner outside despite requesting inside.🙃 Single course meal + coffee + paying took almost two hours.⌛ Definitely not enough waiters... So again, expect a long meal.

Niçoise salad use to be my favorite menu item, Mariposa managed to ruin it/// now is a bad salad with cold and stiff potatoes. Not GOOD at all/// : (

I had dinner with my Mom and Aunt and the food was really good but the best experience was our waiter. Geraldo was funny, attentive and we not only had fun with him but even though he had a lot of tables he had time to have fun with us. He also saw us again after our meal and thanked us for the experience and said to ask for him again which of course we will.

I had lunch with my family. We ordered tuna as an appetizer, salmon as a main entrance and couscous with chicken. The quality of food was fresh and good. The service was kind and friendly from the hostess to the waitress. They are dog friendly. This restaurant is located inside Newman Marcus after crossing the corner store. It’s worth it and it’s much better to eat in Mariposa than in the restaurants located inside the mall. I have eaten several times in the Merrick Park’s restaurants and they are not good at all because the quality of food and flavor is bad. So it’s better to eat here if you are shopping around. The place is cleaned. It’s not fancy and nothing special, the only thing special is the balcony, but the restaurant is not well decorated.

The food (especially the salmon tacos) was fantastic and staff was attentive to everything. The operations manager even walked around just to make sure everything was going well. I'll be back soon!

Worst food no seasoning just lettuce and 2 3 leafs small stake uyyy no, attention was not Good at all, the server was worry more for tips than anything else. Not professional. I went the first time the lady was fantastic and food was perfect. I'm not sure I'll come back again, sorry but happened to me and my family.

Delicious food and very friendly service. I usually go frequently with my girlfriend. We love this place.

Mariposa is a chic place for a quick bite. The place is full of natural light, the servers are attentive and the food is fresh. I have been to Mariposa many times thru the years, and I never had a single problem. Yes, sometimes you need to wait especially if you don't call ahead; but such is life in the tropics.
