A very unique business that specialises in cash grabbing. You are paying €65 for a 15min conversation and photographs to be taken. You do not get any adjustment during your consultation. The adjustment will cost you another €70 at a later date. Also wanted to see me twice a week for 90 days starting off. Only in rip off Ireland will you ever come across a cash grab like this. All joking aside I do feel people are being taken advantage regularly at this business

Not student friendly at all - €50 for an ‘Initial consultation’ which is just questions about your lifestyle and a quick scan of how your posture/ spine health is. Then another €60 for a second appointment called the ‘Report of Findings’ which is another chat concerning what program they recommend based on the findings from the first appointment I was asked leaving the initial appointment if I had any pain or discomfort and I said I did, as I had said a few times during the session and they did nothing - personally I would never let a paying customer leave without trying SOMETHING or even giving them advice on what they could do at home to help relieve some discomfort but then to try charge me again a second time and leave again without any treatment shows that this company care more about getting you to subscribe to silly time wasting appointments for money than they do about actually helping you. All the staff were very kind and I appreciate the need to explain what’s to come and why they are taking a certain course of action but a lot of people who are uncomfortable need relief and are expecting relief from the first session like you would elsewhere. Nevermind a second appointment with no relief either.

They cheat people to make money. I went to the clinic on the first day because I was in a lot of pain and I paid for the consultation. Just a few questions were asked and I was sent home asking to come back the next day. Upon returning, they introduced me to a program that would be specific to my case. It was only then that I was really helped with the adjustments. When I left, they charged me another consultation with an even greater amount than the first. I was embarrassed by the situation and paid for it, but I felt shortchanged as a customer. The clinic's priority is to earn money and not to care. Note: On my payment receipt it says that I was attended by a professional, but I was attended by another. Disappointment!

I booked an appointment at this clinic as I had a terrible neck pain and light-headedness for 2 weeks. At the consultation the chiropractor did lots of test that seemed to aggravate the problem. Such as asking me to stand with my feet on a line with my eyes closed, walking on a line, turning the light switch on and off very quickly to see if I had any reaction, sitting with my eyes closed and gently shaking my head with a pulse oximeter on my finger, moving my head from side to side as much as I could. This made the neck pain worse and I went from light-headed to dizzy. The chiropractor was able to conclude that the second vertebrae in my neck was out of place the problem originated from lower down in my back between my shoulder blades. I was then sent home without any treatment and asked to come back the next day for another consultation. I completely understand that the chiropractor needs to do an assessment to find out what the problem is and how to treat it. However, sending home a patient with acute pain without any intervention is extremely poor patient treatment! This routine may be suitable if you have a patient who would like a long-term plan to strengthen back maybe. But for someone in acute pain you need to do something to help them and not aggravate the problem and send them home! 3 hours later when I was home I vomited as I was so dizzy and unwell. I called back to the clinic and complained and I was told I couldn’t expect treatment as it said ‘consultation’ on my booking and if I came back the next day I would receive a treatment plan and MAYBE I would receive treatment. When you go to e.g. a dentist or a physiotherapist it always say ‘consultation’ on the booking but you still receive treatment. That’s what healthcare providers do in their ‘consultations’, they provide treatment. I never went back to this clinic. Instead I called and went for an appointment at Riverside chiropractor clinic the next day. The chiropractor at this clinic also made a thorough assessment, came to the same conclusion as the chiropractor at Douglas chiropractic and physiotherapy clinic but the chiropractor at Riverside PROVIDED TREATMENT during the first consultation and I already felt much better in the evening. Going regularly to Riverside chiropractor clinic now. Advice to everyone: steer clear of Douglas chiropractic and physiotherapy clinic!

I am being looked after by Dr Dafne Jiménez Pérez, she is a pleasure to deal with and very professional. I am nearing the end of my 3 months of twice weekly adjustments and I have noticed huge changes. I had spend years and lots of money on physiotherapy for QL and lower back issues that were really beginning to affect my entire daily life. I noticed a huge improvements and change even after the first adjustment. I was no longer foam rolling multiple time each day just to get by. I am absolutely delighted with the work Dr Dafne has done so far and I would highly recommend her and Douglas chiropractic and Physiotherapy to anyone.

The following review is being submitted after receiving the first month of treatment, more months are to follow. I was experiencing pains in my hands, I didn’t know what profession I needed to see to try resolve it. Took a chance with a chiropractor, previously went to my GP but yielded no results. Booking the initial assessment was very smooth. I did it all online and got an appointment next day. The initial assessment was a bit confusing as the staff profiles on the site didn’t match the staff present. There were some scheduling set backs but once things got going it was efficient. Emma (chiropractic assistant) is extremely friendly and very knowledgeable she explained what they do at the clinic in great detail. She handed off to Mark (Chiropractor) who went a bit more into the specifics of my problem and set some expectations on what to expect. Next day they had the results of my assessment completed. Mark presented the plan and started the adjustments right away. Other reviews have described the payment plans conversation as a bit sales pitchy but I believe the intention is to try find something that works best for the client. I ended up going for the up front commitment option which provides the best value. I was scheduled to receive two adjustments per week. Allison (receptionist) does a fantastic job at scheduling these around your life and always provides a warm welcome on attending the clinic. Their system automatically sends out email reminders which is nice. The adjustments involve ~15mins on a bench with Mark. He always comes across well informed about my individual case and does small chit chat to find out how things are going. Some days there is a meeting with Emma to get exercises, these are outlined on your schedule. The results to date are absolutely fantastic! I have no more hand pains and am no longer prevented from doing things in my day to day life. Huge thank you to Allison, Emma and Mark for making this possible. Look forward to seeing where we get to as this progresses.

The clinic finally sorted my back pain and months later, I'm still feeling as good as the last day of treatment thanks to the exercises, help and guidance given to me by the staff. I feel a lasting strength and fitness as a result, and while the commitment to twice weekly sessions was pricey, I'm glad I paid every cent. It sorted me right out. A number of chiropractors dealt with me during these months, each as helpful, gentle and kind as the last, as were Glen and Emma at the desk. 5 star service, without a doubt.

I couldn’t recommend Douglas Chiropractic enough. I am 2 months into my 3 month treatment and seeing huge changes. I had headaches daily which was affecting my daily life and now I get maybe one a week/fortnight. I am so grateful for their help. You are always welcomed with a smile and all employees there are very kind, warm and welcoming. I am under the care of Dr Dafne and am delighted with the service I am receiving.

I can’t praise them enough! I’m still only 4 weeks into a 3 month long treatment but I’m already feeling the difference! Everyone is extremely professional and I love how they always explain what’s going on and what they’re doing.

I have just finished 3 months treatment with Mark. I highly recommend him. He always had plenty of time to explain things and answer any questions I had. I had a consultation with Dr Dafne and a man(unfortunately i cant remember his name😔) today. I am so impressed with both Dr's. Dafne is so professional, caring and absolutely brilliant. I am feeling so relieved knowing that Dafne and that man will be taking care of me going forward. It was also nice to walk in and be greeted by a wonderful receptionist. She was so friendly and had a great smile for everyone. I'm finally in the right hands. Thank you team! 😊

I attended Douglas Chiropractic back in January. I was having issues with my right knee. I met Alex who evaluted my knee and expalained it was a tightness issue with my right hip, my quad and lower back. With in 6 sessions my knee was back to full health and I was back walking and running comfortably again. Very friendly, clean and welcoming facility. Alex had great insight and he was very good at communicating why he was carrying out certain actions and techniques aswell as asigning very useful and easy to do excericises to help me improve faster.

I went to Douglas chiropractic with crippling pain in my neck. My initial consultation was with Nicola, whom was kind, caring and reassuring. Dr Dafne has been treated me and has been amazing. She has resolved my neck issue and fixed my others too. My two year old son has been seeing Dafne twice a week and she is absolutely amazing with him. He loves going to see her and it has been majorly beneficial for him. Both my son and I fully trust our chiropractor, she is amazing. The whole practice is fantastic and accommodating. Both receptionists are extremely kind and helpful. I attended a talk that the Dafne provided in the practice and it was so informative and the benefits of seeing a chiropractor were phenomenal. 10/10 practice.

I can highly recommend Alex the Physio. Following an initial assessment of my lower back and also neck pain, Alex started a tailored physio treatment and gave me specific exercises. From day one I felt that I was in good hands. Alex has a very open communication about the next steps of the treatment and also listens to my needs. There is a genuine effort at solving problems in a long term rather than just treating symptoms. I cannot stress enough the professional and attentive approach that Alex has.

I have struggled with back and shoulder pain for the best part of 5 years now. Alex (Alessandro Diaferia) has helped me immensely so far in just a short amount of time. The difference I feel already is amazing. I cannot recommend him enough as well as the rest of the staff. Thank you so much for all of your help!

I was in a car accident several years ago, and had been told by numerous professionals in the US, including doctors and specialists, that much of my pain and discomfort from the injuries would be relatively permanent. When I moved to Cork, I just so happened to move up the road from Douglas Chiropractic and figured I had nothing to lose by giving them a try. I was not prepared at ALL for the level of genuine care, compassion, and support offered to me by the staff, particularly Nichola who I saw most often for treatment. Every appointment I had was such a breath of fresh air from what I had grown accustomed to. In such a short time, not only did I finally begin to experience relief, I also had hope for the first time in a long time that my pain could, and would, alleviate. On one instance I had been sick and bedridden for almost a month. The first day I was able to get up and move around, I tweaked my back pretty badly doing something totally minor. Nichola and Emma were able to squeeze me in immediately for a treatment and some exercise demonstrations to help in the interim. Even now, a few years after I stopped receiving treatment (mainly due to a relocation because of the pandemic) the correspondence between me and the staff still feels more like chatting with friends than just a provider. Definitely will be one of my first stops on a visit back to Ireland, even just to say hello! Seriously, you will never find care like this anywhere else!

Highly recommend. Efficient, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Had experience in both the chiropractor and the physio there. At first was barely able to stand straight or walk over the pain in my lower back. After the first session I noticed a considerable change and it has been improving ever since with each session.

I would recommend Douglas chiropractic to anyone. Very knowledgeable and professional staff. I was in severe pain with my back. After a six week program of treatment and stretching it is now pain free. Now only go fortnightly for minor treatment. Life changers.

Having spent the best part of 2 years trying to root cause muscular shoulder pain with other practitioners, I have been visiting physio Alex (Alessandro Diaferia) for about a month now and it’s been transformational. Alex did a careful and thorough assessment, developed a structured plan to address the issues and uses different treatment approaches (soft tissue, deep tissue and targeted needling). It has made a hugely positive impact on me and my ability to engage in sport. I would thoroughly recommend

The are very commercial business. They do literally 2 minutes session and they charge 65 euro for it, and they don't care if you are in pain or not they care more about letting you having more sessions to get more money, it is my third visit and my back did not improve a bit

I had a bad pain in my back/shoulder, probably from sitting too long in the one spot while working from home. Went to Douglas Physio and saw Jess who was able to work on the problem right away. Gone within the day. Had a follow up session a week later to make sure all OK, and to ensure I had a plan to keep the problem at bay. Not been troubled by it since and am now considering having a regular physio-massage to keep it (or anything similar) from recurring.

I saw Aidan the athletic therapist in Douglas for my shoulder about a month ago. Professional, knowledgeable and really friendly. Shoulder is much improved, painfree at last!
