I love this place because it offers the same or Very close to the same products as Independent but for a Way cheaper price...and I seem to get more points on my Optimum card Everytime I go there then if I were to go to Independent? don't know why but same food for cheaper = better to me.

Realized i had forgotten bake sale item during my grocery run (needed it for next morning)so i returned to pick up a quick baked good. It was closing time but customers with big order inside yacking at cash so asked an employee if i could dash in & grab something quick. What i can only assume was the manager Manager came stomping over in an absolute rage screaming that it was 9pm, that the store was closed, that they were serving their last customer... I was stunned at the vehemence & agression this "adult" employee was displaying. Everyone in the store & several people in the parking lot stopped to stare at us due to his out of control anger & the volume of his tirade. I turned & left absolutely shocked & humiliated. A customer who was also arriving at the store at the same time asked me if i was ok & then proceeded to advise me to go to Food Basics across the street as they were still open. If this inexcusable, out of proportion abuse is how No Frills treats its customers they should remember that there are several alternative options such as Food Basics, Independant, Fresh co, Farm Boy & even Walmart where customers are actually welcome & appreciated. I will be buying my biweekly $300 - $400 grocery orders elsewhere.

Shelves are often empty store is often dirty. Prices have become expensive like their sister stores independent grocers without the quality. Last place I shop in this town.

Good supermarket, clean and easy to navigate. Unfortunately most times I go there I can't find what the flyer advertises. They either have very small quantities or not at all when it's a good deal and nobody can answer you when they will restock.

Nice and neat! Well organized. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Love the wine store option on the way out. (It would need more selections due to the cramped space).

I do mostly PC Express orders with occasional in-store shopping. I switched from Independent Grocer in Cornwall due to the lack of respect as a customer from the owners and their increase in prices! James & Jenn's has been fantastic, if there are issues the owners are responsive, courteous, approachable and friendly! The staff is fantastic as is their pricing! Same products as IG but most of time much cheaper. IG has raised their prices without any justifications except the renovations! Consumers are much smarter and when you compare the same Loblaw products why should IG be almost double on many products! Greed! I highly recommend James & Jenn's for properly pricing and supplying the needs of consumers at fair pricing in Cornwall! Many prices are out of their hands, but they continue to show the others how it should be done!

Me and friends have done the grocery of $187 from no frills around 5PM and counter number 3 was so rude with us. We were not statisfied with your customer dealings. Please ask that person about this situtation.

I found the store to be clean & tidy, and the staff that I dealt with were very friendly. It is a 'no frills' store, as the name states, and there are some services like a deli counter or butcher counter that are not there. All in all, a good store!

Great store but please for the love of God have a cart return stall in the parking lot please! It's an incredible pain to have to go back to the store to return a cart when I'm alone with my toddler.

We are Friday morning at 9.30. Almost every single item on special in my list is not available ie tomatoes, mangoes, apples and grapes. The manager told me that she is still waiting for the truck, I could return at 12 noon but she guarantees nothing. I asked her, as a gesture of goodwill, to let me take other tomatoes at the reduced price. She refused. Though she was polite, I find that this store was unwilling to take responsibility for its own shortcomings and it has no respect for its clients. Fred

Shopping experience is great, however upon paying I told the cashier I have a pc Mastercard , normally they tap for your points and you pay on the second tap or card insert ,this cashier told me no , everything went through. The receipt states 0 points earned . The reason I have this card and come here is to use it . I asked a second cashier and they both told me that I was wrong and they couldn’t figure out the receipt. You guys need to teach your cashiers how points and mastercards from your own corperation work.

It’s too costly. Never Suggested. Go to Food Basics or FreshCo. Even Walmart is cheaper. Loblaw is very Costly. Don’t go to any No Frills, Independent etc… They put fake offers of items they don’t have in stock if we try to buy from there.

Worst experience working here. Worked for only a month and got fired without any reason . Don't ever apply to work here ever. If anyone is doing LOAD there are gonna do LOAD forever like they won't teach U any new thing. If you doing FACING just do FACING that's it. And why I gave 1 star coz I have to post a review I will give Stars in negative if possible. They hire new people for job and fire them after a month or two. Just to hire new.

Ice cream was listed at $4.99 scanned it at self checkout and came up as $7.99 $3 more than they had it listed at. Get your prices right no frills! You guys ripped me off for that ice cream! Won’t shop here again.

Much better than the Walmart or Food Fasics in case of quality to price ratio. Their bakery is very limited though, I go to Valuemart for that.

  • 1/5 Shadow K. 8 months ago on Google
Terrible customer service with evening shift. All younger generation needs to be retrained in that area of hiring. Tossing my food onto the belt and giving babies disgusted looks and being moody with countless other people aswell. I choose foodbasics. This is not the place to grocery shop especially in the evening.

I am very glad and hopeful that there is a probe into grocers raising prices. I went in today 10/29/22 and bought a 32 pack of canned cat food and 2 packs of subs...it didnt seem I was allowed to have my receipt which for the price Im paying I ought to be able to and not have to ask for it but the subs cost 6.25 each so theres 12.50 of the 45.05 I spent I was going to buy cat litter but it climbed from 25.99 to 34.99 at the cost of what I was already paying I felt that this will be the last purchase I make at your store for a good while. Reviewing my options elsewhere I see I can save a good amount of money and intend to, your intentions most can not fathom as your greed insanely precedes you. Do you pay your workers in reflection to what you raise your prices ? Or do they make a low wage and most of that returns to you? Or do they actually have to shop elsewhere for food like next door at dollarama? Either way good job driving up prices and driving away customers ...its hard to believe the belly ache you had about Lays chips not too long ago and now you do this...Well so be it and farewell from someone who shopped there on avg 3x a week :)

Disorganised, cashiers are not knowledgeable regarding coupons. Tries to use a coupon printed directly from manufacturers web site, only to be told that because the printed coupon wasn't in colour, it was unacceptable.

  • 4/5 Enzo T. 3 years ago on Google
Decent place. Very clean and organized. Always with abundance of fresh goods and produce. Helpful, courteous staff. Long line-ups could use some addressing. If you live in the neighbourhood avoid Food Basics and treat yourself to a much better shopping experience.

Shop there often but bought milk there and when I tried to return they wouldn't exchange. the milk wasn't pass the due date.. I had a issue with cream at food basic and had no problem to exchange without my proof of purchase hold on your proof of purchase

There was only 2 cashes open and one was an express cash. Even though it was about 30 before closing, I do feel there should have been more open. The line did get long and I felt bad for that cashier.

I will shop elsewhere due to cashier over stepping personal privacy issues . A natzi is a natzi and no frills Cornwall has 2 or 3 of them . I will go to stores who mind there business rather then get into privacy issues.. March 11, 2022 I went back only cause no choice , only bought what I needed , and guess what , one staff ( cashier ) , got it in for me , she spotted me and continued to harrass and bully me ....hahaha there's words for people like that but if I write it here they won't allow , so I urge those who to stop shopping at eastcourt , but hey that kind of bad mannered people is everywhere now a days , rude no frills staff ain't gonna see me no more hahaha ..good bye Cornwall , where a$$ hooles go to buy zombie food .. Crazy woman cashiers there at no good .food.. Hahahaha

The cashier today (Feb 5,2023) was highly disrespectful towards me and my friends. First of all, a wait of 10 minutes to get another bag. Secondly, she told arrogantly that a 5 cent bags costs extra and I said okay, we'll pay. Waited for 10 minutes and she said the same. I passed my credit card to my friend and she held it, threw it back saying i don't accept disrespect. She needs to understand that she has no right to interfere between me and my friends matters. Cashier lady at cash 3. Highly disgusting experience.

I'm so done with this No Frills location....I have to drive 30 minutes to do my groceries and often choose to come to Cornwall to shop at No Frills to shop THEIR deals and combine with coupons/PC points. Most of the time my coupons aren't accepted essentially making my 30 minute trip useless. I guess I'll start driving 30 minutes in the opposite direction and shop at Superstore in Brockville (hey, the price match NoFrills!). I've never even remotely had any issues with supervisors or cashiers at other stores when using coupons. I've been couponing for some time and am very familiar with the practice, legalities, and security features necessary. I also know that any store is allowed to deny or limit the use of coupons but EVERYTIME I hand over a coupon at this No Frills, I am met with so much criticism and negative attitude and muttering of comments ....and this is often from the supervisors! Telling me they look sketchy or they should be printed in color (which FYI is NOT a requirement...who even owns color printers anymore). Every time I shop a coupon is rejected... This is the only store that rejects my coupons.... I try explaining why it is a legitimate coupon, showing the unique pin numbers on the printed coupons, offering to show the link where I had them printed. But no they just don't seem want to take coupons... Might not seem like a big deal to lots of people, but with the prices of food many people are doing what they can to make groceries more affordable to feed their families And then you're met with somebody at the cash treating you like you're a criminal. No thanks, buh bye!

The cashier by the name of “Dianne” is very rude !!! I had 10 items and went at the express checkout cashier 1 and she was like you can’t have more than 8 items and she gave me the weird looks. Never Greeted me and just being mad for no reason. Another customer was behind me and he had more than 8 items. He was never treated bad and was never asked why you have more than 8 items. He was even greeted with a smile and was done quickly. I love to shop at this store but “Dianne” will never be my person to go to for checkout even if I have to wait in line for another cashier , I will still wait !! Dianne is very very rude and she thinks she runs the place. She thinks she’s the boss. !!!! Girl u ain’t the boss of me !!!! Learn some respect on how to treat customers.
