Ive been coming here for about a year now and a lot of people come to this gym pay lots of money for a membership. For the gyms to be dirty.i go to the bathroom it's full of hair the stairs are full of trash inside the cupholder. the girls in the front dest just sit their on their phones talking not really welcoming anybody coming in. I like the guys their cause they smile and are polite. This gym is taking their sweet time to replace the punching bag down stairs. If people spend money monthly the least you can do is keep it clean and replace the punching bag. If this get fixed I will gladly give a 5 star.

The equipment at this gym breaks and remains broken for months. No matter who I talk to at the gym or how many times I bring it to their attention it remains broken. There are currently four exercise bikes broken , two of f them have been broken fir over a year. The bathrooms and showers are scary. I wonder what health codes are constantly overlooked. This my closest gym and I appreciate a gym that I can call home but remain with no desire to attend this gym. I have to force myself to go there. I wish we could have a gym that we can be proud of. Update: 10/05/22 Leadership continues to care less about the member experience! Days without soap in showers. Weeks without swimsuit centrifuge working. Staff does not place weights in reuseable stands throughout the time I am present. Weights sit where they're used and left, meaning you have to search for the weights yourself. Good luck finding DB weights also. Leadership at Imperial location continues to "sleep" when nembers monopolize equip, don't return weights or when equipment is unmaintenced for months to years. Bathroom soap isnt replenished frequently enough. Initial sales are perhaps their only concern. Handful of patrons are legends in their own minds and clearly need remedial gym protocol training to match their machismo. The equipment isnt any single patron's personal property. And yes I see and frequent other locations.

What more can you ask from a gym than what’s at this 24HF? They have an awesome set of strongman style equipment, including a flippable half tire thing that mimics tire flips safely, multiple sets of battle ropes, plenty of kettlebells, one of those torque sleds with wheels, trx bands, cardio equipment including rowing machines and self powered treadmills, great Olympic pads and squat racks, dumbbells that go pretty heavy, and plenty of machines with specific areas targeted. All that plus staff that remind you they offer a week membership for 50 bucks, definitely gets a 5 star review.

As a prospective client I walked into the 24 Hour Fitness and expected the best but received the worst treatment I possibly could have ever received. Upon refusal by the front staff to use the restroom, I asked to speak to the manager because surely this was not a big deal. Mr. Steve snook walked up to me .and stood incredibly close to my face and asked me what I wanted. After expressing to him that I just needed to use the restroom and I'm a prospective client he said there's absolutely no way. I asked him why and he responded that there are too many robberies and break-ins of lockers. After asking him to step back a little bit to respect my space he yelled at me to get out of his store. I was humiliated and completely embarrassed. I didn't think that such an establishment would treat people of color this way. Any other place I've been to I haven't experienced such rudeness and shortness of temper and to be accused of stealing or planning to steal when I just wanted to use the restroom was insult on top of injury. I really think they could use a certain way of treating people better because this type of treatment needs to end. If you are a person who is no tof color, could you honestly say you wish you were treated like a person of color in this country. It's incredibly sad that we continuously take steps backwards and how we treat our fellow brothers and sisters. Racism needs to end and respect and kindness must prevail.

These clubs are always the dirtiest, nastiest places. People here are gross and do not clean up after themselves. The staff just sit up front or go hide in a closet somewhere so they don't have to clean up anything. For the amount it cost to use this gym I expect a certain level of cleanliness. My opinion is go to LA or Chuze. Much cleaner.

STAY AWAY, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!! My car was broken into while parked in the parking lot at this facility. The staff was dismissive and very inconsiderate about the issue. They will not look through the cameras and help you find the theif. If your belongings get stolen here, let it be known that I tried to tell you already. You’ve read this review and if you still choose to go to this facility, and your belongings get stolen, then it’s on you.

This 24 Hour Fitness is by far the worst I've been. Most of the time the place is very crowded. In terms of healthiness, most of the people is not wearing a mask and the staff does not mention anything. Also they let people get into the sauna and steam room with sport clothes and sneakers, even whit that prohibition. Sometimes it smells like urine in there. I saw a man fainted in the hot tub and the staff did not know how to act accordingly until paramedics came.

Nope , I’m so angry right now! I can’t believe that I forgot & left my bag in a locker 1 day, came back a few hours later and it was closed due to a power outage & next day came to retrieve my stuff and GONE! WTH! And I live 1hr 45 min away. And at 130am their is no one that can help locate my things. You would think society has progressed and are smarter, but not big failure here with poor management decision to cut away! Let me give 24hr fitness a suggestion that can help PR and relations to your patrons, especially that had had their membership since I was 13 (family fitness at that time) and I’m 43 now. 30 yrs! And I don’t feel like 24hr fitness cares at all about personal relations. How about you start tagging the locks give them 24 hours or something to remove their lock instead of just cutting every Freaking lock when covenant to your schedules. After all your supposed to be 24hrs to work around other peoples busy lives. That’s why I kept my membership for so long. Never has this happen to me and I goto allot of locations and have left my stuff for a few days occasionally. After reading more poor reviews I’m getting even for mad! Instead of spending time to cut peoples lock clean the dam place ! Reading even more reviews.. I’m getting ahold of corporate, this place is a bit in dire need of new management. It really sucks because up until this happened this was my favorite club , now I despise it! So after talking with one of the managers maybe because I just finished The Sopranos series, (I know I’m behind most people) shockingly surprised I got that vibe from the manager on how they handle business & 24 hr fitness corporation policy. Wholly WOW!🤯 but really should I be so surprised at 43 yrs in 2022. Sad sad planet right now. I’ll try to stay happy faced 🤡! Sadly I feel I need to definitely change something about how I deal with 24hr fitness for now.

Super close to the school I go to, lots of people talk, well mostly complain about how dirty the bathrooms and shower areas are. I've been going to the gym here for about a month in the early mornings and yes the bathroom/shower/locker room is disgraceful. This is 7am in the morning and theirs trash everywhere, hair all in the showers, mold on shower ceilings, one of the shower areas have damage to the wall where the shower handle was removed and broken. But if u come just to workout and not use any of the facilities then it's fine, if cleanliness increases so will my review.

They don’t have enough cleaning and maintenance staff. Today is the 3rd day in a row without hot water in the showers and 3rd time within a month that we’ve had this problem. Many of us count on getting showered and ready before work. This is unacceptable and a complete inconvenience. Management, staff, and corporate offices don’t seem to care as I’ve submitted complaints to them multiple times.

The facility can use some new and updated equipment. The staff is nice except for one of their staff that's in sales, Dustin. I set up training with him and he requested payment first and I paid but never received anything. He never refunded my money. Very poor customer service and I did speak with is superior and again, no refund.

If you can go to another location, I’d recommend it. I’m sorry to say this because it used to be my favorite location because it’s large and has lots of machines. However, over the past few months, I’ve noticed a major change in terms of cleanliness. I usually go to the gym after work in the late afternoon, and it’s gotten to the point where I don’t feel comfortable using their bathrooms. There is always trash and hair on the floors. It’s just too much.

I will give this place one 🌟 because there isn't anything lower. The employee working the front desk on Fri Dec 2 at 4:30am was extremely rude and unpleasant. Customer service skills are very low at this gym. Will NOT be doing business with this place👎🏽

Disgusting -they lie on the website, they make false advertising, they don’t give the correct information, and when you arrive at the place you can see that it is a lie.On their page they offered us 3 days free by putting our data and mail, they sent us confirmation,When we arrived they told us -no, only for people from San Diego it is available, you have to pay.. (nowhere in the mail or on the page does it clarify any type of exception) false advertising

Yeahhhh this place is sick, while it's not 24 hours anymore it makes up for it by being clean 24/7. Great equipment that are usually instantly repaired upon error, friendly and inviting staff, just a real quality gym overall.

I think this 24 hr. Fitness is in a convenient location, plenty of parking. But, a lot of the equipment is broken. Most of the upright bicycles don't work properly: don't have heart rate monitors working, the tension between the pulley and the Cadence is loose on most, and the computer readouts don't work properly. I like the club, but there's a lot of dust on the equipment and in some of the upper spaces over by the basketball courts. One person told me it's because of the location that we don't get equipment fixed and maintained as well as other 24-hour facilities. I go to the Imperial 24-Hour Fitness because it's in my neighborhood and I see a lot of my friends there. These are small adjustments that can be made to make this club a better place to work out and stay healthy. Thank you for listening. Loving Life Savoy

COVID-19, temperatures need to be taken upon entering, more disinfectant spray needs to be made available, all cardio machines need to be set to every other machine for use to keep the 6 feet distance- Face masks need to enforced when walking about And through the club- weight machines / benches need to be set to the same standard as well- to much congregation is happening-

I came to this location because I was in the area. It perplexes my mind that folks who come here to workout, are TOO LAZY to re-rack their weights. It’s not a difficult task! I’ve never seen free weights scattered all over a gym like this. It’s disappointing to know adults are incapable of picking up after themselves.

24 hour fitness with a membership is fantastic , however without it is an absolute nightmare. I hadn't been to a 24 hour fitness in almost a year. Myself, wanting a three day guest pass, thinking it would be a straightforward process was dumbfounded with the strong arm hustling tactics the staff employed. Look I understand trying to sell something but I'm only here for vacation and needed a place to temporarily workout at so I could then go back to my baseball team in LA and workout there once I left San Diego. Well at least I know that I'll be joining golds gym when I decide to get a gym membership again.

Update Review: So I've been going here a month and over the Christmas close it seems the gym was cleaned well I did notice the sauna not so smelly 🙃. Over all I like this gym it's just crowed in the evening and early mornings if you go passed 5pm you won't be able to use any machines. Overall it's a nice gym I just wish there were more squat machines and leg press and resistance machines. I just started going here at this location. Right now it's OK it's just like any other major public gym. Except the sauna and steam room are shared with men and women. Unlike LaFitness it's separated. That's a bummer for me as I like to be in my swim suite or naked in the sauna. The sauna here smells like bad breath or old boo boo. It might be the old wood that is rotting or old sweat. I don't know if it gets cleaned often. If people would just use a towel under themselves that would help with the smell and sweat everywhere. It's sauna etiquette to wipe up your sweat. The steam room smells mildew. Like I mentioned before a weekly deep cleaning could definitely solve the smell issues. However I don't think it gets cleaned. I also bring my own disinfectant wipes to clean the machines. There's never any paper towel expect 2 places. The machines and weights area is pretty dirty because people don't wipe before and after. Again proper gym etiquette, but what can you do at a busy public gym. The turf you can tell doesnt get cleaned it stinks. I laid my head down to do some abs never again the next day i brung my yoga mat. I will mever put my body on that turf ever again. So again if the gym just cleaned more i would rate 5 stars. Nevertheless I hope to stay focus on my goals. Hopefully my gym crush finds me here.

DO NOT COME HERE!! I’m speechless at the uncleanliness of the facility and peoples behavior at this 24HF. There was feces ON THE FLOOR in one of the stalls…THAT WAS STEPPED IN! Not to mention people were hogging equipment having 4-5 sets of dumbbells all to themselves. We waited an hour for a bench. For how big the place is there’s not an efficient amount of equipment. People were also arguing and having a yelling match over a bench press? Ridiculous. There is no community here nor cleanliness. Go to Chula….like frl.

What the hell is going on at this gym?? I've been there 5 times (AT NIGHT) to use the the hot tub and sauna to cut weight as I am a professional jiu jitsu competitor, and every time I go there there are a number of what looks to be ex convicts hovering in or around the sauna and pool area. Is there a half way house that gives it's residents free memberships? Today two people almost fought in the sauna. And there's always what looks to be gang members all over this place. The management needs to vet people a little bit more in this place. It's gross. Dirty in the restroom and pool and hot tub area. The locker rooms are disgusting. Wow, I'm shocked. Truly about 50% of the patrons ruin the experience for the other 50%. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AT NIGHT. Or period!!! It's a joke!!!

Yesterday was my first day there, finishing training around 12:20am no one at the desk; I wanted to turn in my basketball to get my Drivers License and waited 20 minutes and still no one showed up. People were entering the the gym not signing in like if it was free. Since no one showed up I had to find my Get My Drivers License myself....... dont ask how! The Bad thing is that I signed in for a Year; Big mistake.

(Translated by Google) The place is clean compared to other gyms, if you go at 6am it is empty, the weight room begins to be filled at about 9am. Something I do not like is that many people who come to this gym, do not usually store their weight equipment where they go, this is a bit frustrating but it is not the end of the world, in short it is a sufficiently clean place and has Enough equipment for exercise, I gave it 3 stars because the dumbbells and other weight equipment is usually not where it should be (Original) El lugar esta limpio a comparacion de otros gimnasios, si vas a las 6am esta vacio, se empieza a llenar la sala de pesas como a las 9am.

It's a decent 24 hour gym. It has a variety of bikes, ellipticals, treadmills, stair masters, and a hand bike for cardio options on the first floor. It also has a kid's center, stretch area, and small swimming pool on the first floor. Upstairs there's a variety of classes held each day and a basketball court, along with many weight machines and free weights. There are trainers available for one on one lessons and a small store available to supply most work out needs. The biggest pitfalls are common ones of busy gyms. The free weights are scattered all over the place because people do not re-rack the weight or they put them where ever is convenient instead of their right spot. Also paper towels run out frequently to wipe down equipment. And the most obvious problem is that it becomes extremely crowded after people start getting off work. Overall not a bad gym but nothing I would be amazed over.

I would give this place a zero but not possible, came in today and I wanted to give it a try because I was looking for something different to my usual gym. Someone in management refuse to let me try it even though I got a 3 day pass , he was pushing for me to purchase a day pass for 20$ when I HAVE a 3 day pass already. This place is a joke and there staff are lack of professionalism, don’t waist your time like I did there way more gym available in San Diego that will not act this way.. this place sucks !

The manager here Estevan is really friendly and helpful. He picked up the phone right away when I called to ask if they have a pool and was at the front desk to check me in and answer my questions and let me try out the club. It’s not the newest location and could probably use some renovation but I thought it was fairly clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. I’m writing this review in part because I know they are making an effort to get back up to speed after a trying Covid period. The Jacuzzi is nice and hot - the Jets are not very directed so that’s a bit unfortunate. The pool is a great temperature for lap swimming. If they charged more, I would probably only give them four stars but for 20 or $25 a month. I think they’re doing a good job.

The best thing about this location is the pool is cleaned on a regular basic. However the pool lap clock has been out of service for weeks. The elderly use the sauna like it’s their own private Sauna at home using eucalyptus oil when everyone might not be able to use that or actually be allergic to it. For the most part people are friendly, but elderly Could use a lesson and pool etiquette.

Clean gym but the people who use this gym have zero gym etiquette. The dumbbells and free weights are never racked, people use multiple pieces of equipment no matter how busy the gym is, and half the people are instagramming themselves. Literally saw a guy take his shirt off and start flexing in the mirror today. It’s close by my house so I come to workout every so often for the convenience but I instantly get reminded why I drive to the Point Loma 24 hour instead to workout.

I'm a member here, but the security told me to park my car somewhere else, because nobody can stay in it.If you want to come here for practice, the security guards will not let you sit in the car, either go in for practice or leave. Anyway, you can't stay in the car,no matter what you do or rest, chat or do something else, the car must be nobody . I'm a member here, but I have to stop somewhere else unless I get out of the car right away.

The only thing that was offputting was no staff to be found when I arrived at 5:00ish AM. I mean I will be honest and log in at the front, but I did see a few other "members" check-in in their own way... Nice showers and plenty of parking. Good equipment and I can't wait to try the classes.

Parking isn't there fault so I won't go there. But the facility is nicely facilitated. All the real lifting is upstairs and a mixture of cardio and anaerobics downstairs. It was clean and new, working equipment. My daughter liked it better than the other facility on lemon Grove. But it could be that it's new to her. Lol

I came here as my friend's plus one. The place was not too packed. It has a basketball court and a pool. I am definitely thinking about signing up.

Nice stand alone 24, it's wide open and has a lot of machines compared to other 24s I've been to around san San Diego.

I love this gym! It’s really the best price for a membership in the area, it’s always clean and the staff are always friendly.

The main reason I signed up for 24 hr fitness is because of the kids club. I was very excited to find gym that had a kids center without a ridiculous price. But unfortunately, it seems like the kids club is closed more than it is open.

😠 The sales pressure for customers is so real. It is the commission of the fitness managers and district managers that matters. I was signed up for a year contract with personal trainer with a verbal disclosure that I was only signing up for a trial of a day and if I don’t like it I can cancel anyti...

But then recently they reopened and i was never notified. No email, No phone call smh nothing at all! I randomly check my account and notice a charge fro...

😠 I’ve been a member since early 2019 and the coaches and staff are EXCELLENT! This negative review has nothing to do with any of the coaches. It is about the facility and the ownership. There is a PREDATORY CANCELLATION POLICY!!! I have fulfilled my 2 year contract with them and am on month to month....

👍👍 Super chilled and well equipped gym. The amount of floor space is impressive, the gym is huge and has pretty much every machine you would need. It's also very well priced compared to other gyms which is a bonus. I haven't had a bad interaction in the gym, the gym users are decent and the staff are v...
