I visited the Foundation Zinzou with my sisters during a weekend getaway to Cotonou, Benin and i was impressed with all the beautiful and extraordinary exhibits. A great museum is rich in history, packed with lots of exceptional crafts and contemporary African arts. This tourist attraction is a must see if you are visiting Benin. I highly recommend this fantastic exhibition space to all tourists, locals, craft and art lovers. Good Service✅ Courteous Staff✅ Highly Recommend

It was a good time out there, I saw art work in another perspective, a mixture of the French Yoruba and Nigerian Yoruba works and tradition. You might have a bit of challenge getting them to translate but with google translator you can be ae to communicate with them. The most amazing part is you can check out all the work for free including the museum guide, all you need do is tip them if you wish.

(Translated by Google) Located in front of the service observations and accidents. The setting is clean and pleasant. There is enough exhibition of art and cultural objects of news or history. Very busy with schools that organize educational outings on their premises. Take a tour you will not be disappointed. The conditions of school access to these premises are totally unknown to me. A rapprochement will allow you to learn more.

Informative about the history of Cotonou, there is a library, a play field for children, and viewing centre. There's boarding available. Language researchers come here often

A place of knowledge, the foundation museum regularly organizes exhibitions of works by local and foreign artists. Well-trained guides are there to lead visitors in their discoveries. In addition to the museum, there is a shop selling original items, a café-restaurant and a painting room open free of charge and upon prior registration, to children on Wednesday afternoons and Saturday mornings.

Beautiful space for the exhibition of Beninese and other West African artists. Free entry and long open hours make this place accessible to anyone with a free hour or too. The quiet library/study space on the 4th floor is a hidden treasure for those seeking a work place with ample natural light and a spectacular view of the city

You could easily lose yourself in the works of art displayed here. They feature classic records, paintings, drawings, etc found almost nowhere else in the country. I personally loved the wonder so much that I strayed from the group to feast my eyes on all it had to offer. Things like that make small buildings feel like skyscrapers and that's one of the best feelings in life. Definitely a place to go. Thank me later.

The concept of Foundation Zinsou is amazing. Every 4 months, a new story is told with images and other materials. During my visit, the story was about African materials known as "Hollandis" and it was very informative. You need to understand French or go with an interpreter as the guide speaks just French.

They have shut down the museum in the Cotonou branch and have not publicized this so if you go there expecting to see an exhibition you get shocked when I asked was told to go to Ouidah ! The place is just one room with no proper air conditioning. The directions on the website are also erroneous it says the place is opposite the central police station but that is is not where it is. Not a good experience over hyped for nothing.
