Notre fils est né en octobre à la maternité des Lilas. Nous avons eu la chance de bénéficier d'un suivi de grossesse ainsi que d'un accouchement puis d'un séjour à la maternité exceptionnels. La bienveillance et la gentillesse de l'ensemble des personnes rencontrées (médecins, aides soignantes, infirmières, sages femmes, auxiliaires de puériculture...) nous a permis d'aborder ce moment en confiance. Le respect de nos choix et l'attention de toutes et tous sans cesse renouvelée au consentement avant d'intervenir d'une façon ou d'une autre nous ont été très précieux. Nous sommes entrés à la maternité confiants, et en sommes ressortis grandis. En effet, la sage femme m'a vraiment soutenue durant tout le travail et m'a encouragée à ne pas prendre la péridurale (c'était mon projet). J'en garde un très bon souvenir malgré la douleur. J'ai eu la chance de pouvoir bénéficier de la baignoire. Les 2 sage femmes m'ont assisté tout le long de mon accouchement en me proposant pleins de méthodes de soulagement de la douleur différentes. Par contre, je déplore l'accompagnement à l'allaitement qui me semble insuffisant. Après 3 semaines j'ai du compléter avec du lait infantile et aujourd'hui je ne produit presque plus de lait, ma fille n'a même pas 2 mois. Je le vie très mal car je souhaitais vraiment l'allaiter jusqu'à ses 6 mois. Les sages femmes auraient du me conseiller l'utilisation d'un tire lait électrique des la sortie de la maternité afin de bien lancer et mettre en place l'allaitement.
