What a lovely village pub. Huge Beer garden with play area and bouncy castle. Wide selection of cask ales and drinks and the staff are all lovely. Excited to taste the food as the menu looks fab!

Lovely village pub, great staff and very welcoming landlord. Being from a pub background myself I have to say I was impressed by this establishment. There was a slight hiccup with the food order. However, it is a time we're coming out of a global crisis and we're all human so I understood. We're now downloading apps to order food and drinks so it all takes time getting used to new systems. The staff were wonderful and did not hesitate to offer free desserts or drinks. They were also very apologetic. As the general public we all need to understand the pressures of life today. So where you can understand don't complain, just try find an amicable answer. I will definitely be going back again. Lovely food, catered for vegan and diabetic guests, and amazing service! Thank you for a lovely afternoon and keep up the good work 👌

We ended up here at lunchtime by accident, but are glad we did. I had the lasagne, and my partner the steak and steak and ale pie. Both of which were very nice. We'll return.

Lovely inside and out. Although the menu hasn't got lots and lots of choices it's still varied for all appetites and the prices are good also. Today we hired the Skittles alley with friends and had buffet food at a really good price. The food they done was even suitable for vegetarians. We were not disappointed.

We booked a table for 8 for a Sunday afternoon based on the reviews we had read, and were not disappointed. The food was served quickly by very pleasant staff, and was hot and tasty. Although the pub was busy, which is a good sign, we didn't feel crowded or under pressure to vacate the table. There isn't a wide choice of beers but as we were there for a family meal that was not a problem. Overall we were all very pleased with the pub, the food and the visit overall. We don't live locally but will definitely be back when we are next in the area. Thank you to all at The Rose and Crown.

Found this pub on way to a mid week rugby match. Didn't know this area at all. A good welcome from the staff and a lovely meal served quickly. Just what we needed. Would definitely call again

Great food that was tasty and good sized portions. Good atmosphere that welcomed us as strangers to what is essentially a 'locals' pub. Just perfect
