Would of put zero but had to put at least one star. Normally I have a nice meal here so I was shocked at the absolute garbage me and my fella were served today. He didn't fancy a full carvery but looking at the menu and description did fancy one of their special sandwiches.... What Utter rubbish arrived. A dry, very small bap came out with two very thin very fatty pieces of beef in it. Which was accompanied by 4 very dry over cooked roast potatoes. I would of been embarrassed serving it to someone. Sadly the normal carvery was no better. Burnt items of veg, cremated roast potatoes, dried out peas. Turkey was lovely and the cheesy leek basically the only thing I ate. We had been out and just wanted some nice, good tasting food... This was not.. The waitress was lovely (so no complaints there) Definitely won't be going back in a rush.

Well another fantastic experience inside the Toby restaurant!!!! 10 out of 10😏💯 from the welcoming chef's & my beautiful friendly waitress, plenty of upselling but in the right way not forced, my visit to the servery was a first for me all the chefs took a few mins to chat with me( I'm an X M&B manager) 😀 the Yorkshire puddings were the best I've had anywhere!!!! Nice soft & fresh not like eating cardboard!!! I was even guided on my onward journey back to North notts, thats when the massive letdown came😳😳😳😳 which is not the management or staffs fault.the blame lies totally with M&B!!!!!!!! The outside of the property is Disgusting!!!!! If I had checked before entering I would have got back in my van, which I'm sure many people must do!!! Come on M&B!!!!!!! We don’t live locally but stop here three or four times a year en route to in-laws. It’s always good, but tonight (Saturday) was even better because there was lamb as well. Good, prompt service, beautifully cooked meats, and lovely veggies. A brilliant dinner on a very cold night!

Really nice place for a Sunday roast. Good selection of drinks and a lovely food. Christmas festive decor is lovely. Staff is really helpful and nice. Will definitely be back soon

The visit was a good greeted well and had drinks to the table in no time excellent. We were glad that we had booked out table as there was a lot of people already seated. The food looked good nice and fresh and we were soon served and seated again really good service. The meal was excellent. We will return

Another lovely visit today. Food was superb, fresh and perfectly cooked. Service was excellent and would like to give a big shout of thanks to Michelle. I was having lunch with an elderly lady who has special dietary requirements and Michelle was amazing, checking food ingredients and relaying them back to us. Nothing was too much trouble. Two items of feedback to head office, firstly, please could you consider adding menu information for gluten free customers and secondly, please put Black Forest and Lemon Sundaes back on the menu; I really miss them. Thanks again.

We had our Christmas Dinner there this year and everything was done so professionally the staff were very good our server jo was very on the ball she really looked after us the food from the starter to the pudding was pipping hot it was gorgeous we will be making it our regular place to go and we will be definitely doing Christmas Dinner there again all the staff were a credit to their manager

The team here are absolutely fantastic it starts with the manager Jules and goes from there. Everyone is friendly and helpful, the food is delicious. The restaurant itself is very clean and tidy and the staff can't do enough to help and make sure your visit is everything it should be. If you're in the area and fancy a nice welcome and great food then you should absolutely visit. 11/10 we will be back for definite.

Not been here for some time but we enjoyed the food, good service and atmosphere as we visited on a Saturday lunchtime. 2 criticisms: 1 half slice of turkey and 1 slice of beef. The choice of desserts available as 3 were missing. Diary Ice cream yummy..plenty of it with a tasty lemon sauce.

Came her yesterday with family there was 9 of us. There was no beef, pork was dry. The only good thing was the turkey. All the vegetables were dried up. We have always came here for breakfasts. But will never come again for a carvery. Would never recommend this restaurant. If I could rate 0 star I would. Says alot when the restaurant is empty

A delightful pub/restaurant situated in Stonebridge, not far from the M6. We were greeted by a lovely lady who showed us to a clean and well situated table for two. I’m fussy with my drinks, my tipple of choice being an old school gin & tonic in a straight glass, ice & a slice, with the tonic separate. My wife likes flavoured gin, of which there was so many flavours to choose from. They arrived at our table within minutes and were perfect! We both decided on the carvery. The array of meats was fantastic as was the fantastic assortment of potatoes and veg. The server was helpful and polite and he cut each meat portion expertly. We eat out regularly, carveries especially, so the bar was high to begin with. We were not disappointed. Succulent, flavoursome and magnificently delicious. The meals in entirety were 5 star. A relaxed atmosphere where everyone was made welcome. All in all, a first class experience and terrific value.

We've visited this Toby many times over the years and have generally been pleased with the food. This time, however, the beef was so tough and fatty, it was practically impossible to cut and even more impossible to chew. The waitress promptly brought us some more, this time carved from a new joint, but even this wasn't at all tender. The rest of the meal was fine and the waitress attentive. The chef, however, was often nowhere to be seen in spite of there being a queue.

Today I came with 13 SEN children as a part of our school trip and was absolutely blown away by the service and kindness of all staff. The waiters, front of house and the staff serving the carvery. All of them were so attentive and kind. The food was also lovely! Thank you so much for making our Christmas meal a one to remember!

A lovely welcome from the waitress. Decent meat portions with a good choice of veg and potatoes. Kids enjoyed their desserts. Couldn't really fault the meal and service, despite being quite busy. Easy to access from M42.

Excellent food vest Toby ever been to, waitress Michelle was very nice. Had evening meal with excellent range of tasty vegetables and breakfast this morning was just as good. Very clean and welcoming. This was a Our stop over for going to the NEC would give it a 5 star plus.

Fantastic food... have already booked to go back. Service was excellent, catering for everything we needed. Constantly checking if we needed any help or more drinks. Couldn't ask for more. 1st class effort. Thankyou and well done. See you next week😉

Kim, was one of the staff members who served us. She was incredibly friendly and made us feel at home. She has superb personal skills and makes you feel so welcome. The food was delicious and my kids, who are usually fussy eaters, loved every minute of the meal

The greeter was somewhat abrupt in the way she was interacting with us. But all other staff were very friendly. Food was amazing, very prompt service, small queue, quick drinks, friendly servers, prompt payment.

I ended up going on a recommendation from a friend who had been and said it was good. (I will never go with his recommendations again 😂) The place could do with a good renovation, it's quite run down and tired. Now the food at 1st glance seemed ok but once I started to eat it became clear this place wasn't for me. The majority of the food had been we'll over cooked and the cheapest of ingredients used. Then the best bit for 2days after eating the food I was barely of off the toilet, needless to say I won't be going back.

Went for lunch with my family to celebrate my nephews 3rd birthday. Food was excellent and very hot with loads of choice. The very freindly staff on shift couldn't do enough for us and made a right fuss of my nephew on his birthday. We will definitely be visiting again very soon. Keep up the great work guys.

The carvery is okay, not amazing but not bad for the price. I didn't enjoy the mash potato or the gravy, the meats were nice, pork beef turkey and gammon, nice cauliflower cheese. Overall the taste is quite bland but we all eat all our food and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Overall not a bad experience but the food is average.

Booked on a whim for me and my mum. We were shown to a table by a man who took care with my elderly mum to make sure she made it safely to her seat. We waited in the queue for about 5 minutes and sat down with a fabulous Sunday lunch. The food was delicious and hot. Our waitress checked on us each time she passed us, which was lovely seeing as how busy it was. It’s a 10 from mum and me.
