This bridge has "something for everyone". It's perfect for photos. It's has a wonderful history. It's an architectural beauty. It has a metal base and "sings" (I like to call it a hum) when you drive over it. It's approachable by foot from Ohio and Kentucky and there are great destinations within walking distance on both sides: sights, sounds, dining and shopping. We have even watched Friday night fireworks, after a Red's game, from one of the support landings. And, it's free!

I love this place. I walk from ky to Oh every day on my break. Its a beautiful part of Cincinnati and bears so much historical value. I love the inspirational quotes on the landings and the plaque on the Oh side with all the historical facts about the bridge itself. The infrastructure is one of a kind and its the only humming bridge around. If you are in the city I definitely recommend walking across!!!

This bridge was built in 1865 and still standing tall and strong. Amazing views of Covington on one side and Cincinnati on other side. It’s fun to walk across the bridge and back and watch big boats going under the bridge. Few parks around the bridge. You can either relax and listen to music or walk some trails and get those much needed steps after eating Graeter’s amazing ice cream.

A beautiful bridge! There is a pedestrian walkway on both sides. It is worth exploring Covington if you're walking from Cincinnati. They're are several historical houses with players explaining the history of their original owners.

My fave landmark in all of Cincinnati 😍❀️ The John A. Roebling Bridge has been an iconic landmark over the Ohio River for more than 150 years. Designed by civil engineer John Roebling, the bridge officially opened to traffic on January 1, 1867. It has a 1,075 foot span . This bridge is known to be the template for the Brooklyn bridge. Roebling is best known as the designer and civil engineer for the Brooklyn Bridge in New York City, which was completed in 1883. With a main span of 1,596 feet long, the structure was the longest suspension bridge in the world for many years.

The Bridge offers a mesmerizing view of the city's skyline against the backdrop of the Ohio River. The sight of the city's lights reflecting on the water at night is particularly enchanting. Walking across is an unforgettable experience, perfect for capturing memorable photos and enjoying the city's charm from a unique perspective. A true gem for both locals and visitors! πŸŒ‰πŸŒƒπŸžοΈπŸ“ΈπŸšΆβ€β™€οΈ

Neat bridge. You can walk on it all the way to Kentucky and back. Beautiful views throughout, but in the morning I felt that the photos from the Kentucky side (viewing Cincinnati) were better from a lighting standpoint.

Recommend Stopped at this bridge with my girlfriend on the way home from vacation and got the following shots and video. As you can see we stopped there at night specifically to see it all lit up and, although initially hesitant to stop in a city I don't know at night, the view did not disappoint. There is a surprising amount of foot traffic along the bridge so, as with any big city, be aware of your surroundings after dark. That being said the parking area and paths, along with the bridge itself is very well lit and we only felt slightly nervous once, when a... Gregarious residence-challenged man approached us wanting to talk our ears off. If you are in the area, it is definitely worth the stop to play sightseer!

For a medium place like Cincinnati, this is a beautiful place to walk around and admire a bridge if that’s your thing. This baby Brooklyn bridge replica is so cute. The area around the bridge is so green, clean, and chill. Walk up the path, sit on a swing with your best friends, and enjoy the view!!!

Most people in NYC area have no idea that THIS was the inspiration for the Brooklyn Bridge. An absolutely beautiful gem of architectural history!

Great piece of walkable history between 2 States. Looks like a mini Brooklyn Bridge. Could use some cleaning but makes it worth it when you walk from OH to KY and back in under 10 minutes.

My friend who is 5 months pregnant and I went on a girls trip to Cincinnati. We spend the majority of the time stoping in at Bookstores, laughing, renting scooters and racing around the city. Well I raced she bailey kept up. lol. But we had the best time. We were able to walk all the majestic Bridges and see all the sights that the city has to offer. We had a grand old time. Thanks Cincinnati for an incredible adventure

Cincy and the bordering neighborhoods in Northern Kentucky across the river surprised me. I was in town for business and had free time before flight. I walked around and came across two or three bridges that cross the river. This one in particular stood out.

Great way to enjoy an afternoon. Nice walking and driving such an old structure. The parks at both ends provide worthy goals to make the walk worth it. The geese along the riverg are cool, just don't eat them

The prototype for the famous Brooklyn Bridge, built in my hometown by John Roebling. Lots of memories driving across on our way to the Friday’s barge after Sunday church.

They said the bridge was designed by the same person who designed the Brooklyn bridge. Similarities are observable. It was interesting that we enter Kentucky once we cross the bridge from Cincinnati side and go over to the other side. The River front park and walking over the bridge was a nice and interesting experience.

We visited this bridge during evening time and the view is breathtaking. Architecture reminds us of NY bridge. As I visited this place during winters it was not crowded, it does get cold and we could walk across to reach Kentucky. Loved the city view with lights. Best location for photography.

Really cool bridge to walk across. We walked from Kentucky to Ohio then back to Kentucky… in the snow. Very beautiful bridge that was made even more magical by the snow. The views of the city and park is also great.

Joining the cities of Covington Kentucky with Cincinnati Ohio, the Roebling bridge opened in 1866 and at the time was the longest suspension bridge in the world. Designed by John A. Roebling, he went on to build the famous Brooklyn Bridge in 1883 and the Ojuela Bridge in Durango in 1898. It did serve streetcars at one time and would have been capable of supporting the subway but the city never completed that project. Today, it has pedestrian traffic that is much used for parking in Kentucky and walking to sporting events in Cincinnati and it has an 11 ton weight limit for vehicles. The bridge is active in 2023 having just finished a rehabilitation project in 2021 and I hope to see many more years of this stunning and beautiful bridge. It is especially photogenic at night. There is no toll for crossing the Ohio River here in either direction.

Awesome piece of history with scenic views in all directions. Road is currently closed but there are pedestrian walkways open on both sides. Parking nearby is $3 for the first hour.
