I was taken to this hospital by ambulance after a serious accident at home (hats off to the great paramedics who help). I was there for waiting for a nurse to help me, I couldn't move because i was in a near paralysis state from my incident. I had to go to the bathroom (#1) and I told a nurse. They replied saying they'll get something for me to go in and they'll be back in a few minute. 3 hours passed and they never returned. I kept telling nurses of my need to go and they said I'll have go wait... i was rather lucky with being there for about 7-8 hours however for over 6 of them is how long I had to go to the bathroom. In the end I was told there were no breaks muscles were just pulled *but if things got worse to return for more examining*. In my leg, arm and neck. The pain had gotten much worse and had to return the next night . This is were issues got MUCH WORSE! The nurses were extremely rude and never checked any of the problems with my pain. *I was in waiting room for 8 hours and was told the exact some thing with literally no more examining*... and was sent home, still in extreme pain.

I'm currently at this hospital waiting for stitches. I've waited 9 hours 53 mins just to get admitted, then someone saw me for at most 2 minutes and has left me in a hospital bed in a room for 1 hour and 15 minutes so far. I'm hoping that someone will come back soon to stitch my knee. I'm absolutely appalled at the health care and wait times at this hospital.

Our daughter, the nurse, unfortunately, has a piece of metal lodged in her pallet from eating a spinach dip. She went here, immediately, was seen by the tirage nurse, placed last, as the metal was digging deeper in her skin. The nurse, informed her that she must wait there for 12/15 hours!! Surgery is needed. The metal is no- longer sticking out because it's embedded now. Unbelievable!!

In reality the BMP doesn't deserve one start.. If there were negative stars they'd get a -5 . 1 hour wait to see triage nurse when we were the only ones there at the time of getting a number. Secondly I had taken this same person for the same issue with kidney function and was rated a level 3 case before and today was rated a level 4 case. Thirdly a lady had fallen and was unconscious in the ladies bathroom and multiple people had to tell staff before anyone actually went to see. Which was between 4 to 5 minutes. (time enough to die) Fourthly staff are so out of touch with their humanity and servicing the public that its to the point of being ridiculous. The person in charge of the BMP needs to retire and someone else put in there place that's not just there for the money. Cell phones in the work place should be banned and less standing around and more actual work needs to be done.

Emergency was terrible! I've been to a few emergency rooms in my time. There was no air during a summer day, it was hot and it stunk. No organization whatsoever. People, myself among them, were taking a number and waiting only to have the tirage nurse skip from #2 to #12. Because we were supposedly supposed to sit in the tiny tirage corridor. There was no signage, no direction, or mention of this. If it was just me, I'd take my loss but 10 people were also not aware of protocol. Poor management. Shame on the tirage nurse, his attitude and lack of conscientious. Shame on Cowansville for making me wait more than an hour as my throat closed.

While a hospital visit is not exactly an enjoyable time, the BMP has been "my hospital " ever since I can remember. My family doctor is also affiliated there. I've had a few procedures and tests including a hip replacement a couple of years ago, which was totally trouble free. The staff everywhere are skilled and always have a smile.

TERRIBLE WAITING TIME. Came in today at 1am with a 6 year old having ear pain. Was triaged at 2am. At 7am I went to remind the nurse that I have been waiting since 1am and she told me that minimum wait time was 10 hours. It is 1pm now(12 hours after I arrived the hospital and I have not even been called in to see a doctor. Just to get a prescription for ear drops for my 6 year old with recurrent ear infection took us a night and a day at the emergency department with nowhere to lie down and nothing to eat except for Tylenol and Motrin each time the pain started. HOW IS THIS AN EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT???? The least time I have spent at this emergency no matter how bad the problem is is 11 hours. Since getting a doctors appointment takes so long here in Quebec, we have no choice but to suffer like this each time the child falls sick or we fall sick. IT’S REALLY REALLY TERRIBLE

It is unacceptable to make a 6-year-old kid wait for more than 10 hours to get an x-ray. My daughter had a ski accident, and we had to wait for at least 10 hours to be seen by a doctor. It is inhumane to make a child wait that long with intense pain and a fractured leg. The nurse that does the registration was extremely incompetent, denying my daughter to go through fast because her leg wasn't bruised, yet you couldn't even touch it, walk, and was in great pain. She could quickly get her to get an x-ray ASAP and see how bad the leg was, confirm if it was fractured (which it was and badly), and from there, take the correct measures. Even other people in the ER waiting room told the nurse to let the child through, and she never complied. P.s. The emergency room wasn't also that full. About a dozen patients were waiting.

i cant say for the hospital now but when i was 17 my appendix was about to burst and i went to this hospital where i was born and i went to triage the guy said oh this isnt right a doctor came not even 5 min later and said you need a operation asap in about a hour i was shaved prepped and going under the operation went well i was told if i had not gone that day i would have died most likely the nurses were very nice with me and i was a real jerk so thank you PS. i would like to say also that waiting 10-12 hours in a emergency room in Trois-Rivières and louiseville is very common its not always the hospitals fault its the system that is garbage, underfunding over working staff every government has failed us from feds to the province our health system is flawed

Personally, I’ve been in many hospitals in Quebec (Granby, Saint-Jean, Sherbrooke, Children’s Montreal, Longueuil, etc) and This one has always and by far performed better and more efficiently, the personal has always full filled my needs and expectations in a very professional way. The different teams working there are very, very professional and caring, people do make a difference and the management is adequate and efficient. Waiting time in the emergency room may be long sometimes depending on the income of ambulances that disrupt the cadence for the patience waiting but in my experience I’ve rarely waited more than 1h to see the doctor. Two thumbs up for the free parking space for less than two hours! 👍🏼👍🏼 Keep the great work BMP !!

Do not bother if you are from Ontario. My partner was sent here after breaking his collarbone in a mountain bike crash. The triage is in a back corner where you can’t even see it, and it took forever just to be triaged with only one person ahead of him. Then had to wait 3 hours before a PA system called his name and what room to enter. Meanwhile French people who showed up a hour after him and who looked to be completely fine were put into rooms immediately. He sat in the room for 4 more hours and not a single person checked on him or even looked at him. He didn’t even have a pillow on the bed to lie down on. I tried getting a time estimate from the nurse and she would barely talk to me. All she said was “ o wait times” and walked away from me. My partner tried to get Tylenol from the nurses and had to ask multiple times. Then they gave him it and told him not to leave his room then closed the door to his room when he went back in. We ended up leaving after waiting 7 hours without an X-ray or even being seen by a nurse. Walked out right in front of two nurses and they didn’t say a word or even look at us. On top of that the hospital seemed very dirty and disorganized. Came to Ottawa and got an X-ray and a room within an hour.

A hospital visit with my husband turned out to be a terrible experience. Despite his pain being rated at an 8 on the scale, the nurse assigned only put him at a 6 and disregarded the doctor's note. To make things worse, the nurse also yelled at my husband for using the wrong terminology and the security was lacking, with mixed-gender bathrooms and the risk of someone entering while locked in. After waiting for a long time, we were still not seen in a timely manner and had to request pain relief. Despite having a note from our doctor, we were not given the necessary treatment until 8 PM. Even then, we were not seen until midnight and the second nurse was told a different story by the previous one. Demanding the note back proved to be a difficult task. Overall, it was a regrettable experience.

I would suggest another hospital in the event of an emergency you might die waiting for staff at bmp, even if you have an appointment except to wait hrs even then it is unlikely you will receive adequate care, I truly don't have the words to describe how bad the service is at this hospital, staff competency is extremely low and they're usually extremely rude & unprofessional, unless your willing to wait 18 hrs save yourself some pain and go somewhere else.

Their birthing center is wonderful, huge suites and I received fantastic care. I was followed closely throughout pregnancy, rdv always started at appointed hours, which was shocking after 10 years in MTL. We also benefited from amazing attention postpartum. I love that you have access to birthing center in first ten days, as both baby and I needed some extra observation and care.

Whacked my head pretty hard, was dizzy and could barely keep my head up and I waited 11 hours with 4 people in the ER. this what I pay taxes for? I couldn’t grab anything to eat due missing my call, I couldn’t relax. Cowansville is a joke! And will forever be a joke. Dirty Hospital.

Such terrible service and you receive absolutely no emotional/comforting support from the staff. A joke of a hospital and they don’t care.. you will most likely die waiting in the waiting room for a doctor. Average wait time is 8+ hours and it doesn’t matter the severity of your injury or if you arrive via ambulance.

Not only are the doctors and nurses friendly and efficient, the triage nurse I saw was very friendly, attentive and took all the information I had to give. At other ERs I usually am rushed and interrupted when explaining my symptoms. I travel one hour to go this hospital when it is an emergency.

It's perfect. The doctors and the nurses are nice. It is just they may need more practicing their skill of needling. Other than that, great healthcare and I recommend it.

The worst hospital ever, if you want to wait for nothing go there. 5 people wait and nothing move in 5h.

My husband has had major issues with back pain and stones, I underwent chemotherapy treatments for 6 months. The Dr’s and nurses at BMP are exemplary, we are grateful for the care and services we received, always with a smile and making a bad situation feel not so terrible. 🙏♥️
