Because my review of two stars was deleted, here a one star review: its really overpriced and overselling. the breakfast buffet is basically a bit of charcuterie, bread and pancakes. The staff except for the reception desk and the spa desk always stressed and annoyed. you have to pay an extra 15€ for the spa which is also limited in space - 10 people seem to fit after a reservation however you don’t even get a sunchair to lay down. tiny spa space for a seven floor high building. overall, the location and history seems to sell it, but I have had much better for much less money. if the staff or place would be uptodate, why not, but at some point, the restrooms near the restaurant were running out of toilet paper which should not happen in a place like this.

The hotel is wonderful as are the staff. I was disappointed that my request regarding my room l, within a group booking, was not honoured. I received an email prior to arrival saying it was noted but it was not acted upon. When I challenged it I was told I could be moved the next day, yet no-one knew about the suggested move either the following morning or evening when I mentioned it again. While it disappointed me, it did not detract from my overall view of the hotel

Don’t recommend it. High price should have high standards. Unfortunately we didn’t find that at all. They gave us blocked bathroom. Staff are cold, not cheerful, breakfast variety are extremely poor and no change. Cleaning are poor. The view was the best. But I will never recommend it.

Booked a room with a double bed, was given a room with two twin beds. Front desk says they only have twin beds, but they push them together to make a double. So, if that sounds good, go ahead and book. Special bonus - tried to get a drink on the terrace bar, in one hour no one came to take an order, and the bartender would not take an order directly. Basically a 1 - 2 star hotel that pretends to be a 4 star.

Terrible hotel. Run down and outdated. Dirty, the wifi is horrible and they still use key cards that demagnetized hourly. You have to pay for the pool - 15 euros per hour per person. Even worse the cleaning person had the worst cold today, coughing, blowing her nose all over the room. Hotel is past it’s day. It needs a complete update. Stains all over the carpet.

We are at the brasserie. It was fancy in an 1980s way. There was no music playing and very awkward until filled with people and conversations. My food was fair and needed salt and acid. The lamb shank was very good. Dessert buffet was pretty but not flavorful.

Amazing hotel. Location and views are incredible. Gym is a bit too small but food was nice and the staff.

We stayed here for 3 nights and it was lovely. The staff were so kind and incredibly helpful! The room was great and we had a wonderful view of the lake. The spa was amazing and well worth it and they gave us a voucher for the casino which was actually really quite spacious and fun! Such a lovely lovely property.

I like the hotel and service is great, one small remark about the rooms with only a window on the top floor, I don’t think they can sell them as ‘balcony rooms’

We were so looking forward to a Sunday Brunch at The Imperial Palace and it was a complete disappointment. From the moment we arrived we couldn't get attention to get a table. The buffet tables looked terrible, all messy half of the dishes empty. The main course area was a mess with spilt food, clogged up spoons and again several main dishes missing! The tables where guests were sitting were piled with empty plates not being collected. The food was really average - a few nice salads, the main courses were really not up to the standard I would expect from this quality of place. The only area that looked nice was the dessert area. When we went to get coffee there were no cups. So had to find a waiter to get cups. Cups arrive, then both the coffee machines didn't work, so back to find a waiter again to fix! We have eaten in some great places in Annecy some in the Michelin guide and way better priced than this brunch. This brunch is way overpriced and was not a good experience.

Amazing staff The coktail was delicious We had the chance to listen to the beautiful jazz band. Diner at the brasserie was perfect. They forgot my dish and drink but the service was top 5stars and apologies for the small issue. Best place to pass a nice evening in Annecy

Despite the relatively recent renovation the hotel still feels slightly outdated. It's hard to pinpoint exactly what the issue is but there's a bit of a mismatch between the breathtaking location and views of the lake and the kitschy interiors. Overall, we enjoyed our two-night stay but felt like it was overpriced.

This hotel markets their free jazz evening performance to lure customers to stay in their hotel. In a business of hospitality this hotel scores the highest in making a guest feel UNWANTED & CHEAP. They do it subtly in many ways starting with an invitation to an evening of jazz, which they will 100% unceremoniously reject your entry every time due to lack of space. The hotel which has a clientele age of over 70years who will occupy every available chair an hour prior to the event. On complaining on being turned away twice though ‘early’ there is absolutely no action. “That’s the way it goes in this hotel “, a nonchalant receptionist told me… a successful endeavour in making the guest feel unwanted! All other events are ticketed. While being welcomed with biscuits to your room you are charged for water! There seems to be an absolute disconnect on how to make a guest feel welcome. The hotel boasts of a fantastic location but has no way into the lake. You may however walk around and join the public to enter the lake. The garden that is in front of the hotel & seemingly part of the hotel is NOT . You will have to jostle for space on the garden with all and sundry public. So if you like being cooped up in your room - then, hey this is the hotel for you. If you dish out like I did for a terrace balcony - then your view will be blocked by the adjacent balcony - so there is no clear view to the lake. This is the ONLY hotel that has taken an upfront swipe on the card for the full hotel stay the moment we entered - yeah…we look like thieves that might do the run! Veryyy special feeling indeed! At a 500+euro cost per room not including breakfast- the turn down services are bad. The sheets you sleep on are not tight. .All in all this hotel left a sour taste in the mouth. Not at all a hotel worth the money.

Excellent location but you need a car if you want to go to annecy center (5 minutes in the car). Friendly staff, speak English very well. Free parking. Amazing lake view. We ordered breakfast and it was good. We tried the dinner at the Italian restaurant and it was delicious. satisfied 👍🏻.

This hotel is amazing! I took my husband for his birthday and the hotel went over and beyond to make it special. My son also fell sick on this trip and the staff helped me in every way possible. The rooms were spacious and very clean. This hotel was definitely a highlight on our trip!

Staff not friendly (exception made for voituriers team who were very nice), high prices for standard room that looks like ***hotel-definitely not worth the price. Extra fees to enjoy spa service. Only good point was the location. The hotel should be also renovated, design looks outdated. Generally very disappointing.

Best two days of our trip! Annecy is such a beautiful city and staying in Imperial Palace made it more magical. The view of our room and balcony was breath taking! And walking in the garden by the sunset was super romantic. Totally recommend visiting and enjoying a sea view there 🥹❤️

Large hotel, spa and casino with all the usual amenities set in grounds overlooking lake Annecy. Service was a bit slow but on the whole a good experience.

Just back from our trip to Annecy. Staying at the L'Imperial Palace was a highlight of our stay. Paid for lake views and they were magnificent (see photos). It's a 15-20 minute walk to old town Annecy but it's an easy, safe and beautiful walk along the lake and through a park. The hotel is a little older but the rooms are very nice, clean and quiet. There is a casino on the property, which we didn't participate in but it didn't create a loud or heavy traffic scenario. The grounds all around the hotel, especially in the back of the property are beautiful. I would highly recommend a stay here.

Nice hotel, brunch/bar dining areas offer a great view to the lake. Meeting rooms big enough to host a +20 people event and well equipped.

Stayed here during my honeymoon. Amazing views of the lake, great location in town close to shops and restaurants, friendly and helpful staff. The room was large and very comfortable. A room with a balcony and view is worth the extra cost!
