Challenging 12km - according my watch, hike with very rewarding views of Annecy, the lake and mountain ranges around. Including Mont Blanc if you are lucky !! Relatively busy trails on a mid-week November day. I would recommend downloading the hiking Savoie Mount Blanc app to follow the route as in places I struggled to find it. If you are staying in the centre of Annecy, then hire bikes from Vélonecy which are free for the first 30 mins. There is a docking station at petit port just a few mins from the start of the trail. Highly recommended.

Not sure what I can say about the start of a hike but the hike itself was great. Everything is very well indicated and there's a great bakery at the start which gives you some nice food options if you're arriving at the top for lunch.
