I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent service provided by the server at the restaurant. They were attentive, friendly, and made the dining experience enjoyable. Moreover, the food surpassed my expectations with its exceptional quality and delectable flavors. Overall, I had a truly satisfying experience.

I am absolutely in love with this brewpub!! After two gruelling flights that brought me here from Nanaimo, I was nothing less than enthralled to find this place. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food (I had the bison burger) was exquisite and full of flavour. The locally brewed beers were fantastic and flavourful. The crème brûlée was to die for. What's not to like? If ever you find yourself in Cranbrook, this is *the* place to be for all your food and drink. There's a pub side; there's a family side. They've really thought of everything here! I highly recommend this place for a hot date or a family dinner alike.

This was our second time in Cranbrook in 5 years and our second time at the Heid out. It was much smaller the last time we were here and much more personal, but still had a good time. Service was awesome for most of it, until he forgot to bring our dessert, but otherwise spot on. Food was a solid 5 stars for 3 out of 4 people in our party. I had an amazing clam and mussel dish. Beer was excellent. I miss the smaller Heid out from the years ago, but I will come back when I come back to Cranbrook.

Had an absolutely fantastic meal and our waiter Malik was amazing. My wife couldn't decide between two dishes and he had the most helpful recommendations and described the dishes like he was on the Food Network. Highly recommend!

We finally had the chance to try Heid Out in Cranbrook. The location is good with ample parking in the area. The ambiance is good and the waitress we had was outstanding. The food was ok but not outstanding. The Heid Out burger was over powered by the Soggy Otter Grilled Salami so it was hard to tell how the burger tasted. The appetizers we your standard pub fare and not something you would go out if your way to have. We may give them another try but it will be as a second option.

Good food, great service. Appreciated the recommendation between the duck and schnitzel. Went with the schnitzel and really enjoyed it, could have done it without the cheese though. If you're looking for good beer and craving Schnitzel this should be your go to place.

Very much enjoyed our visit here earlier this month. The burger my lady ordered was 👌 super good, she managed to eat the entire thing which is uncommon. The salad I ordered was wonderful as well. Our waitress was very personable and gave a great recommendation for my beverage (a combination of a two different IPAs I believe they call a Dab?), And it was excellent as well. I recommend this establishment and look forward to our next visit.

Excellent beer and food in a good atmosphere. Food was really good (had the schnitzel and a bowl) but the beer was exceptional - tried the Scottish and Porter.

Great little local restaurant with good food and even better staff. Were served by Mia who did a fantastic job, drinks refilled, friendly conversation and just impressed us and made us want to come back, which we will be sure to do next time we are in Cranbrook.

We had to come back! We came in for an afternoon flight and the service was so good and the menu had so many good things we had to come back for lunch the next day. We each had a flight and the beer selection was excellent! The white wolf IPA was so delicious. My son asked about a kids flight and although they didn't have anything on the menu the server went above and beyond and brought him a flight of pop and a Shirley temple. So thoughtful and he loved it! For lunch the next day I tried a wine flight and the schnitzel. Wow the soup and my lunch was so delicious. My husband had the Heid out burger, it looked so good and he really enjoyed it. Both times we were here the service was 5 stars! It's a nice looking restaurant, a great place to visit and enjoy a beer or cocktail. If you're looking for a delicious meal you won't be disappointed.

I was riding through here on the way home to California. What a gem, the hotel clerk was right! Don’t waste your time with other restaurants in the area. Perfect schnitzel, creative menu and fantastic service. Did I mention the brewer has an exceptional touch at making common beer uncommonly good? Pilsner, IPA…etc. I will absolutely ride another 1000 miles to eat here again.

Excellent place to eat, especially if you have celiac disease. Delicious food with friendly service and a designated fryer for allergen food safety.

The Heidout is a favourite “go to” for my parents and previously when it was Heidi’s it was my favourite before I moved. Great service, amazing food and very generous portions. I ordered the Pulled Pork Spaetzle and my parents ordered the Fish and Chips. Thank you once again for a wonderful evening

Our server Alissa was great! She had excellent table manners and was very friendly. However I cannot say the same about the food. Everything besides the burger was at best mediocre.Overall, the Heidout has a good atmosphere and great staff, but the food is somewhat unimpressive for such a nice restaurant.

Amazing find! We stopped here for dinner and beer on our way to Nelson. We were amazed with the menu and the presentation and quality of food. We will be stopping by everytime we're through! I had the chicken curry, my husband had the schnitzel and my son (2.5) had the mac n cheese. Rave reviews all around. There is a wide selection of beer with something for everyone. We had flights to try them all! Family friendly with a kid menu, and change table in the bathroom

Great selection of craft beer and a menu that goes from Buddha bowls to bison burgers. Friendly efficient service as well. Highly recommend when visiting Cranbrook.

They serve a scrumptious Yorkshire Pudding with Roast Beef here. It's rare to find restaurants that serve Yorkshire pudding. The Yorkshire Pud was crisp and fluffy, the roast beef was good, but would have been even better if it was cooked medium rare to medium well with a bit of pink as it was drier being well done. Pure Yum. Their butterfly shrimp was also delicious. The Jicama salad was refreshing and healthy. The green pea, chick pea, mushroom masala was also delicous and fine tasting comparable to ones at Indian restaurants. High quality, well made food here with a diverse menu. Very impressed.

Awesome place. Fantastic beers, the Elephant Run is a wonderful IPA, and pairs well with the spicy pickles. Also they have a dog friendly patio in the summer. A must hit spot if you are in town!!

Such a wonderful atmosphere. The decor is well thought out and lively, clean and the lighting is perfect for an informal party or even romantic dinner. Most people should reserve romance for the shoulder hours as it's quite a busy place during the evening dinner hours. Food is quite tasty and the kitchen staff was a bit slower some days as the place sometimes has a twenty minute table wait. Consider this isn't so bad as to speak volumes about the food and the craft beers on tap. The micro brewery on site means a constant supply of house beer is available. It can be a loud place and there aren't too many real private corners or booths to be found with the open floor plan, but it leans on the side of trendy rather than cozy/private. Prices were very competitive vs other places of this nature. For this reason it elevates the Heid Out as one of the top 10 contenders for venues in the region when considering food taste-quantity vs price. Service from wait staff was extremely attentive. There were a few hiccups in the food itself but nothing that couldn't be fixed with renewed attention. All in all the few cons are easily dismissed vs the overall positive experience. An easy 5-stars for this Cranbrook gem.
