Basasak: Creston's All-Day Dining Gem Nestled in the heart of Creston lies a culinary treasure, Basasak. Offering an unforgettable dining experience for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone in the area. During my inaugural visit to Basasak, I was struck by the exceptional quality of the dishes. The mouthwatering chicken ranks among the best I've ever tasted, and the appetizers – such as jalapeño poppers and mozzarella sticks – were equally delightful. I wholeheartedly recommend the signature Basasak Sauce, which adds a delicious touch to any dish. For those who prefer a different level of sauciness, you can request less sauce or have it served on the side. In addition to these favorites, don't miss out on the scrumptious chicken sandwich and their range of poutines, featuring delectable gravy and cheese curds. Basasak's takeout service is also noteworthy, providing a convenient option for enjoying your meal wherever you please. My love for Basasak's lunch and dinner offerings only grew when I discovered their breakfast menu. The diverse selection, reasonable prices, and dedication to quality ingredients and preparation found in their other meals carry over seamlessly to their breakfast offerings. From traditional classics to unique culinary creations, there's something for everyone. Each breakfast visit to Basasak has been a delight, solidifying its status as my top breakfast spot in Creston. While there can be a wait for your meal, the attentive and friendly staff ensure it's well worth it. As for the presentation, the photos I've shared speak for themselves – the dishes are as visually appealing as they are delicious. In conclusion, Basasak stands out as a true culinary gem in Creston. Whether you're in the mood for a hearty breakfast, a delectable lunch, or a satisfying dinner, this is the restaurant you won't want to miss. I eagerly anticipate my next visit to Basasak and encourage anyone in the area to treat themselves to a fantastic meal at this remarkable eatery.

This place has rave reviews about their fried chicken but I decided to order the Ultimate Classic Canadian and it did not disappoint. The partitions were quite large and overall the meal tasted great plus the staff was very friendly. This is a hidden gem of a restaurant so if you're hungry, I highly recommend checking this place out.

This has to be some of the best fried chicken I have had. You have to get the basasak sauced chicken. It’s one of those things you just can’t stop eating. It is very flavourful and perfect amount of spice. The garlic one was also very good. I would 100% be back and recommend this spot. The staff were very friendly and helped navigate our order. We were very impressed with the food.

Basasak Chicken in Creston is now serving breakfast and oh man is it an excellent breakfast. Breakfast is served Wednesday to Saturday starting at 8:00am and a better breakfast can not be found in Creston. We have had their lunch and dinner and enjoyed it very much so we had to try their breakfast. Not overly busy at 8:30am when we arrived and the wait staff was very attentive with our coffee and order. Food was delivered hot and was a feast for the eyes. We had the skillet and the Ultimate breakfast. Very tasty and filling. Best breakfast outside of making it yourself. Some close up photos as a feast for your eyes.

A true diamond in the rough! After a long day of motorcycling from Calgary, we arrived in Creston and found Real Food Cafe was closed, so we were looking for other options and stumbled across Basasak. We could not have picked a better place for dinner! Basasak looks unassuming from the outside and you might miss it as it is tucked into a motel, but it is absolutely worth the stop. We had the Basasak Chicken, the Cheesy Snow Chicken, and rice. All was amazing, and the best fried chicken I’ve had in years. The cheesy snow chicken blew us away though — cheese isn’t something you’d expect to mix well with fried chicken, yet it was our favorite entree of the trip. The combination of flavors and texture were sublime. We paired the meal with mango soju which went perfectly. I’d highly recommend eating here and trying both the Basasak and Cheesy Snow chicken! The breakfast items looked great too, but unfortunately we didn’t get a chance to sample them.

Have never had anything but great meals here. The fried chicken stands up to anything we can get in big cities (we live in Victoria)--particularly recommend the Basasak and Snowy (cheese powder) chicken! Came today for breakfast, and it was fantastic. Ordered the French toast breakfast with sausage, and again it stood up to anything you'd get at a nice breakfast spot in a bigger city. Well worth a stop if you're in the area!

Came here based on all the reviews I read online. Some of the best chicken wings I’ve ever had. The server was working by herself and the restaurant was completely full plus people waiting outside for a table but she remained calm and helpful which was impressive.

First off, the non-alcoholic cocktails were such a treat for my kids. Carefully prepared and they really were as good as they look. Our food was fresh, hot and beautifully presented. We loved it. Will definitely be coming back.

My only problem is that it will be hard to come back to get everything else on the menu. I enjoyed the smashed potatoes and chicken. If it was an option, I would have opted to upgrade to a 3rd piece of chicken. maybe a couple less of the potatoes, though they were cooked to perfection! Regardless the meal was certainly very tasty and I definitely suggest you give it a go.

After reading the basasak flavour I thought I’d like it more than I actually did. It’s extremely sweet so not my favourite flavour however the cook on it was spot on. Coleslaw was funky but again, not really my fave, more of a vinigrettw wish it had a creamy element. Fries were good. Pickle spears were great, my favourite thing of the meal. Would try a different chicken flavour next time. Jalapeño lime mayo was lacking jalapeño taste.

So i ordered the smashed potatoes and chicken. Everything about the dish was excellent except the potatoes. They weren't crispy although they seemed deep fried and i saw browning on them?? They were just globs of grease that seemed like they didn't belong and in fact i couldn't finish them. The dish would have been better served on rice or fries in my opinion. My husband enjoyed his burger and fries and the menu had great variety so ill just try something different nxt time, but i would NOT recommend the smashed potatoes.
