Worth the $30 (for tourists) to walk the very nice trails, climb the observation tower, and watch the hummingbirds at the feeders. They had very nice bathrooms and a good selection of drinks and snacks. Note for folks catching an uber there that unless your driver has a very sturdy car/truck, they will drop you off at the road entrance. It will be an additional 2 km uphill walk from there.

Wildlife in the rainforest was quite cool to see while we were going on a hike on the trail. We saw the sloth high up on a tree, ants trail working hard carrying leave on their back, coati running around and little Bambi was greeting us. We also heard loud roar from an animal. If you like the nature, this is a nice place to visit.

We saw a sloth right at the booth where you pay! Also saw some howler monkeys, birds and butterflies. However, the price of $30 per person before 10 am and $20 after 10 am is incredibly high and unjustified for what you get. The prices should be half that.

Beautiful park and well maintained trail. Information available throughout in Spanish and English. We saw lots of bird species, monkeys and a three toed sloth. The entry fee is a bit high for it being so small/ short walk. But, there is free coffee and tea. Great place for small kids (although you have to be 12 to go up the tower) and to bring out of town visitors.

I loved getting to see such a wide array of wild life! From white faced capuchins and spider monkeys, to leaf cutter ants and even some dung beetles, there's a huge variety of animals that call the forest in this area home. Keep your eyes out!

This is the access point for a hummingbird viewing gallery, a watchtower, and lake view. It is about 2.2 km trail that is much better maintained than the road used to access the center. The fees are $30 USD per person. If you have a Copa airline boarding pass, then it is $20. Also, if you are with a guide then it is $20. Make sure you get water over here if you are running low as the humidity is very high at times. You can try to feed hummingbirds from your hands. 4-6 varieties of hummingbirds are here all the time.

it's possible to see a lot of animals (like monkeys and birds) but of course there is no guarantee for that. The only animal you will see for sure are the hummingbirds since they feed them with sugarwater. The tower is great because you can see the jungle from the top. You can probably see everything in an hour if you rush trough or take your time and spend 2-3 hours here. I removed one star because the entry fee of $30 is to high.

A must see place in panama: tropical rainforest in parque soberanía. Near the city and in Gamboa. Perfect for birdwatching (and my favorite: different types of hummingbirds) . Its better to go early in the morning. Monkeys are close distance : cari blancos (white faced capuchin) and howler monkeys. The canopy tower is a must!

A great place for birding and to be immersed in nature! We had a wonderful time here. It costs $30 usd per adult to enter and you can spend as long as you like there. There is a tower viewing platform, hummingbird area with feeders and a seating area down by the lake. It is so nice to support something that is focused on protecting nature.

The place is quite outside. Seeing the hummingbirds at the station was nice. Overall it wasn't worth the expense. It costs $30 each way via Uber + $30 entrance fee. So 90 dollars and after about 1.5 hours everything expired. At that price I wouldn't recommend it. I then went to the Metropolitan Natural Park (entrance fee 4 dollars) and the chances of spotting animals are the same, plus there is a great view of the city.

Great place to visit. Great scenery for wildlife. We visited early August (2nd) and weather was great, when you are beneath the trees (98% of the time) is not hot.

Nice place to stroll around and see many animals. We saw a sloth, capuchins, two anteaters and a toucan. They also have a feeding site for hummingbirds where you can see lots of them. Moreover the view from the observation tower ist breath-taking. Even if the walking path is only 1,5 km long and the entry fee is 30 USD per Person you see a lot and you support the Rainforest project. We liked it a lot.

Awesome place to escape the city and see nature and some wildlife but BEWARE; plan you transportation. Uber drivers will probably be mad at you for going all the way out here and it’s unlikely to find a way back to town unless planned.

This place is not for people without a car and/or without a guide. You can’t find a taxi or Uber back to Gamboa or Panama city and you barely notice birds without a guide. You can set up a feeder in the backyard to attract the hummingbirds instead of paying $30/person to see them here. This place is privately owned and operated according to the people working there. Several people turned back without entering the center after walking 2km. We are among them.

Useless staff, one could just come in without paying and visit the whole place. They have 0 interaction with you meaning no help either... The road is really in the jungle for 2km and is one way so it's really fun when another vehicle is approaching...I've also heard that if you come via taxi/Uber, they'll drop you at the entrance which means it's an extra 4km you have to walk (return). $30 is more expensive that visiting the Louvres or the Statue of Liberty...so in comparison it's clearly very expensive, and without comparing having a tower and a 1,5km trail it's overly expensive... Nevertheless, you're going to see a lot of hummingbirds as they have feeders, tons of various birds, you will hear monkeys but it's unlikely you'll see any. Finally, the guy at the entrance when asked whether we could see any sloths said it's extremely rare and so they don't even talk about it - we were actually super lucky as we saw one from afar on our way back, but we went very slowly and carefully the whole trail looking everywhere to find one, there's no way to spot one if you just casually walk/look around. So, overall keep your expectations low if you hope to see animals, but have them high if you only care for hummingbirds, you won't be disappointed!

I really enjoyed visiting here. There are a lot of paths to hike around and look for wild life. The tower is quite impressive and offers a great view of the top of the rain forest. You can get up close to the hummingbirds, they don't seem to mind people being around. The staff was friendly and told me about what I would see and what to look for when I purchased my ticket. I was lucky and both times I visited there was hardly anyone there so it was nice and quiet with no crowds. When my brother and I went there was a large tour group leaving and I was glad because I'm sure having to wait for a turn to climb the tower and being up there with so many other people trying to take photos or crowding the hummingbirds wouldn't have been as fun so I recommend trying to go when there aren't a whole lot of people there.

(Translated by Google) It is truly entering the jungle. This walk is worth it. We went on a rainy day with an umbrella and two young children and it was perfect. There was hardly anyone. They have biosecurity measures. They have place to see birds and tower to see the different levels of the jungle. It has height of the trees. Admission $ 12 adults; children 5 years old do not pay. Cobbled entrance road for 2.2Kms I did not see food for sale, better bring a bottle of water. Bathrooms well 👌 (Original) Es entrar verdaderamente a la selva. Este paseo vale la pena. Carretera de la entrada empedrada por 2.2Kms No vi venta de comida, mejor llevar botela de agua. Baños bien 👌

(Translated by Google) The paths are basically nicely prepared. The tower with a view of the canopy of the rainforest is a nice idea and the lagoon is very beautiful. Of course you have no guarantee to see animals and unfortunately we were unlucky in this regard. All in all, you can also see the rainforest in other places in Panama for significantly less money. We found $ 30 per person totally inappropriate for us as tourists and couldn't understand the high amount at all.
