Overall a decent bouldering gym with kind and helpful staff, good route settings with different types of problems and a very wide range of holds. The grading is also very fair in my opinion. The toilets are clean and the dressing rooms are all right. There are several nice souvenirs and clothing you can purchase on the scene. So why the 4 starts? I found two annoying things in the gym: 1 - a few of the holds are really greasy, though probably these were going to be taken down soon (brushing didn’t help). 2 - the rental shoes… I don’t even know where to start. They are horrible. I felt as if a pair of street sneakers would have been better. They squished our feet from the sides yet near zero support in the longitude of our feet (what you stand on). Additionally (this may have only been one shoe) it can clearly be seen (I attached a photo) that the sole of the shoe had been “fixed” = new rubber was applied. This new rubber is so hard that it barely has any traction making it super hard to step without slipping. Okay, I have a La Sportiva Python at home but I did rent shoes previously and this was horrible. For me it was a fun challenge to focus a lot more on my stepping technique but it was really frustrating for my girlfriend. Overall I would definitely recommend the place if you bring your own climbing shoes.

My son celebrated his birthday here with his friends bouldering for 2,5 hours. Loved it! Very clean, new place with lots of space, and routes for all levels!

Very nice and divers style boulders in all different grades. In general, the holds are quite clean compared to some other busy gyms in Amsterdam. There are few brushes on sticks available in the gym. Temperature inside the gym during the winter is very pleasant. During summer it's quite hot, unfortunately no AC. During Friday evening and the weekends it's not very crowded, which is very nice. There are drinks and food available, but I haven't tried it yet. Now it is one of my favorite gyms in area Haarlem/Amsterdam. In the area there are plenty parking spots available for free. The only con is that the subscription/10-class card from Beest Bouldergym is not valid anymore after April 2023.

It's an "old school" kind of gym, with more vertical routes than overhangs. Some holds are too old. Other than that, it has a nice atmosphere, lots of light and air. It is expensive, anyway, for what is offered.

Great place to climb. The hall has bouldering only. There are good drinks and bites with chill music all the time. The routes are very well set with a lot of technical problems.

Great atmosphere, easygoing staff and members. Routes rely on toplogger so don't expect any grade cards on the wall.

This is a great medium sized gym with plenty of different walls, holds, and areas for you to try different styles of climbing. The staff are friendly and its an overall good vibe inside. There is a bar/cafe for those not climbing to relax along with board games and several other things to do. They sell a range of equipment including shoes inside. Overall id gladly reccomend coming here.

Best Boulder-Gym I have ever visited! Very nice ambiente and crew, creative routes and fresh drinks. I have been to many Boulder-gyms in my life, but this was by far the best one :-)

One of the smaller gyms in the Amsterdam/ Haarlem area but still has some interesting routes to keep you going. The major downside: the lack of heating in ALL the areas of the gym (bouldering section, campus board, cafe, changing rooms, washrooms). First visited there during beginning of winter and to give you an idea, it was warmer to be outdoors than inside the gym. Absolutely no heating whatsoever, to the point that my fingers got stiff and I had to warm up again before getting back on the wall. Needless to say that resting too long in between your climbs is not recommended (I was literally shivering from the cold and I was wearing 2 layers). Wouldn't recommend if you are looking for an overall great experience. There are much better gyms in Amsterdam (you can even try Beest/ de Klimmuur which are sister gyms to de Fabriek).

Lots of routes that are being frequently changed which keeps it interesting. Staff and crowd is quite friendly.

Pros: relaxed environment and friendly staff Cons: terrible. terrible music. why the staff is allowed to play such cheesy outdated tracks is really weird. food is overpriced and extemely basic. literally had the worst nacho plate of my life here

A nice bouldering hall. It is averge in size, definitely not small, but I've seen larger halls. They have many boulders, of all types and difficulties. You won't get bored for few sessions at least.

The first time I wasn't that impressed, but after a couple of visits i quite like it. The Holds are quite used and greasy, so they don't seem to set so regularly and i feel there would me much more space on the walls for more routes, but overall good climbs. One thing i just don't understand is why Boulderhalls like this grade the routes by the color of the holds. That way they end up with the result that on a particular grade you often see the same kind of holds. Gyms that colorcode with colored tape have a much bigger hold-variety troughout the grades. But maybe thats just my opinion;)
