If you haven't tried this place - DO IT. I have never been anywhere quite like it and enjoyed every single dish. My friends and I each ordered different items and shared.. everything was delicious. The service was excellent. Everything across the board was amazing. Absolutely will be back!

The food was soooo yummy! Loved the atmosphere. Coffee was great. Servers were nice too. The desert was probably my favorite thing to eat lol the bathrooms were very clean and cool Inside. I will definitely be back. Can't wait to check out the lunch menu!!

Amazing birthday dinner! The food was excellent , so much flavor and paired well with our cocktails and wine. Our server Kelly was kind, and informative and made us feel welcomed as if we were regulars visiting, we definitely will be now. I can't wait to visit again! The owner also stopped by our table to check in often which made the dinner extra special. Safe for celiac disease, and truly that in itself was a peace of mind to enjoy a beautiful dinner without the worry of cross contamination. Thank you!

I really enjoyed our dinner here! Our waitress Kelly was amazing. We started with charcuterie which came with an amazing cheddar. For the main I chose the elk rack- I'd never had elk before and it was phenomenal, and cooked perfectly temperature-wise. Also tried the apple fritters for dessert. We will be back!

Great option to have in the suburbs! The drinks are always tasty and inventive. Food is hit or miss. I had a fish dish here that had no flavor what so ever but then I came back and the food has improved. I know they’re was a mention of the chef having been replaced at some point. Sit at the bar for the best atmosphere.

This was our first visit to 1776 and we loved it. Despite it being a cool autumn evening, the outdoor seating was pleasing and comfortable. My wife and I both appreciated that the music was not loud--we could easily have a conversation without trying to speak over the music. We ordered off the weekly specials, including a calamari starter, a house salad (try the charred scallion dressing!) and pork chop and trout entrees. I wouldn't call the portion sizes generous, but I'm not exaggerating when I say that every bite was so good we wanted to savor them. Their coffee is excellent and Heather's service was warm and attentive. We will be back!

What an elegant experience that is different than any restaurant I've been too. The wild game is very tender and flavorful. I would recommend to try the wild game trio because its always changing and it gives you a chance to try different game animals. The dessert was also delicious. Overall the food was presented extremely well, flavorful, and the waitress was knowledgeable and attentive. I would recommend for a date night!

We enjoyed the food so much! Elk rack was fantastic (pictured) and the island breeze cocktail was amazing. We had the duck, the hanger steak, and seared salmon at our table too! All we’re good but the salmon - underwhelming. Friendly service and staff! It was very cold in their small dining room and our table was next to the curtain by the kitchen. Lots of traffic. I definitely would prefer some other tables, but not much choice. Luckily the food and drinks would bring anyone back for another shot!

Taste the new taste of Crystal Lake! Great long list of wines, local foods and drinks. The New dinner menu is so delicious! Wife and I had to share! Also Very impressed with employees here. Even the water boy! They made great eye contact, right there when we needed, warm and welcomed. And not over the top. Candle lite dinner. And who could turn down desert! Highly recommended. Come on all friends, family, visitors and Crystal Lake locals. Dinner here is a must here!

1776 is my favorite restaurant. They are 100% gluten free so I'm able to eat here with my celiac diesase without worry. Their food is unique and delicious. It's the only place we go for date night.

Their food is always incredible. My specific faves are their steaks, meatloaf, boar meatballs, duck liver pâté, and fish tacos. The ambiance of the restaurant is one the best around. The owner and staff are always friendly and welcoming. During COVID19, I have been ordering their contactless curbside and couldn't be happier.

Highly recommended. My spouse and I came here last summer and was wowed by the best salad we've ever had. It was made up of simple lettuce leaves and yet it tasted so good. The secret is in how they source all of their ingredients - high quality and fresh from local producers. We went back for a family get-together and everyone was pleased.

Good but nothing really stands out that really qualifies as fine dining… advertised as farm to table but doesn’t compare to any other farm to table restaurants I have been to. little disappointed but friendly staff and good atmosphere.

We usually go twice a week and our party can range from 2-8 people. Food is great, but our last experience was not great. We ordered our food, had a question for the MANAGER, and the manager was very rude and did not address our question. Instead he continued to clean off tables, and ignore the issue. For the price and scale of the restaurant, that in my opinion, should be the managers issue to deal with NOT ignore! Terrible!

All the food was delightful and most importantly for me, Gluten Free. The server also let me know me of what had dairy on the menu when I asked, which makes it much easier for me to order. She knew upfront and didn’t have to check, which was great. The margarita was fabulous- while being strong it was still delicious and smooth. Our server was very professional, courteous and polite, but there were some complications with the menu/kitchen/bar service taking longer than expected. Luckily we were not in a rush and the atmosphere was modern and trendy, which we enjoyed while waiting. Edit 9/17/23: have been back regularly for take out, always happy. Also returned for my sisters birthday dinner and I appreciated that they let me bring a gluten & dairy free cake in (they only allow non gluten items in and made sure of that - I appreciated that too) they even took it to the back and brought it out with a beautiful gold candle. When I let them know I was dairy free they were also very sure to tell me if anything had dairy in it and had allergy sticks in all my meals to assure me I know they were conscious of it.

The best food and service we have had in the suburbs! Our waiter Josh was very knowledgeable about the menu options, and went above and beyond answering our questions in detail. Our table was always being taken care of, and dishes being taken away. The food was fantastic and as a bonus everything is gluten free. As a celiac I am so happy to have found a local restaurant where I can relax and feel safe eating my meal. We will be back, I highly recommend trying it out!

Overall? Amazing. The ambiance, the food (we did small plates and entrees), and the service were great. Not to mention the cocktail and after dinner offerings were an experience in their own right. We found out after the meal that everything is gluten-free free (WHAT?!?!?!) which we would have never guessed during the meal. Do not hesitate to bring your allergen restricted friends/family here, they will find something, and the people who are not restricted will never know. We ventured from the top end (8 oz fillet) to the bottom end (soup/salad) and were not disappointed in the slightest. Definitely will be back for next seasons menu...

Excellent food, and even better service. The menu offers a wide variety without overwhelming you with choices. Vegetarian options were abundant without being the focus of the menu. The dishes were focused without adding too much so that each element stands on its own. Will definitely be back, can't wait to see what their next menu brings. My compliments to the chefs and staff!

Love this place!! Can't say enough positive things.. The food is always incredible, gluten free, locally sourced where possible, the best quality. Also, the wine selection is awesome. We always find something interesting to try. If you haven't been, you need to!

This is my new favorite restaurant. We ordered a series of appetizers and had some cocktails. The appetizers were incredible. The manhattan was the best I've ever had.

slow service at the bar, arrived close to 4pm open, they mentioned they were still getting ready once he offered service, not sure if the staff should start preparing earlier so that they can help customers when they open or of one of the several people behind the bar could have taken a moment to service the customer and then go back to their opening duties.

Absolutely Authentic, Best Food Ever, Christina was an awesome waitress, the bar is packed to the gills with great drinks. It may seem pricey but it’s definitely worth it. Spent 400$ (We got a lot though) the first night we went and I have no regrets.

The finest entirely gluten free restaurant in the Northwest Suburbs. If you follow a gluten free diet, you will smile when you see the menu. Absolutely wonderful service is the icing on the cake, gluten free of course.

1776 certainly deserves a 5 star rating. We dined there tonight and both the food and the service were absolutely top notch. It began with the warm greeting when we walked through the door and the pleasant comfortable seating in the outdoor patio. The service was spot-on and the drinks were perfectly crafted. The crab cake appetizer was one of the best I've ever tasted, including those I've had in Maryland, Delaware, and Virginia. Rhienna, the owner, stopped by our table for a chat and to make certain that everything was perfect - which it was. And the entrees, my goodness it is obvious that the chef settles for nothing less than excellence. We capped our night with coffee and a flouless chocolate cake which must be tasted to be believed. If fine dining in a warm and friendly atmosphere (without the pretentiousness) is what you're after, there is no better option than 1776.

White chevy like car/truck with 1776 on the back window, i watch her driving like an animal by Andy's restaurant almost hit someone for the second time. Please ask them to slow down. I understand you have deliverys to make, but this is just unreasonable.

The place offers a large range of delicious food. I loved dining here. Employees are always friendly, rates are affordable and the spot is always well organised.
