My wife just went in to Nelson's Jewelry to get her wedding ring re-sized, and they were so incredibly rude to her. I know that the ring isn't an incredibly high-end ring, but the guy was so arrogant and such a jerk about it that she broke down sobbing in the car. It was the best ring that we could afford when we got married, and this guy basically told her that it was a piece of garbage. We worked really hard to pay for that ring. They owe my wife and I a BIG apology.

Nelson’s was a company that my family used for years, even my grandpa. Not anymore. My mother had two pieces of jewelry made costing well over a thousand dollars. The man at the counter said he would give us 20% off because we were getting two expensive pieces made. When my mother went to pick it up the owners rude wife said that the 20% off should of never happened and didn’t honor what they had originally promised. Low class owners who do not respect their customers. We now go to studio d in Woodstock exclusively because They don’t treat us like animals.

Justin and the team at Nelson's Jewelry in Crystal Lake are phenomenal! I went to Nelson’s for my wife’s engagement ring and both our wedding bands. Justin was there to help me and genuinely cared about finding the perfect rings for our engagement and wedding. He was honest throughout the whole process and delivered a truly amazing quality diamond and stunning bands. Finding rings can definitely be stressful and it can be hard to find the perfect one, but Justin made it so easy and I was able to put all my trust in Nelson’s. I would highly recommend using Nelson’s for engagement rings and wedding bands.

My mom always comes here to get her watch batteries replaced so she recommended it. Had to have my engagement ring sized up after a bad experience with a pushy jeweller in the UK, the staff at Nelson's made it such a good experience. I was wary after the experience with the other shop but Nelson's were so reassuring and helpful. They made sure it fit properly once it was done and were really kind. They did a great job, it looked stunning as they gave it a good clean which I wasn't expecting. I will definitely be returning in the future for any jewellery needs!

I've brought a couple of watches in for sizing over the years. This morning I brought in a gold chain I thought I had ruined and they fixed it on the spot! Excellent customer service!!! Highly recommend!!!

Just had a watch repaired there. They could have totally ripped me off but they didn't. So, certainly an honest business in those terms. For years I've had them adjust rings and do my watch batteries.

Horrible. I came in the store today to buy an engagment ring for my boyfriend. 3 ppl were working with 2 customers being helped already. No one said hi to me or even acknowledged I was in the store. After waiting 15 mins with no one offering to help me I walked out of the store. Very rude and inconsiderate. An employee by the name of Bob literally walked past me 3 times with not so much as a hello. Dont go here unless you look like you can buy half the store or they will not give you the time of day. Very disappointed.

Have been shopping there for 15 to 20 years. Had them design the setting for our 2nd wedding ring for my wife. We supplied the diamonds and they designed the setting for it. It can out unbelievably fantastic. Family owner , great team of people. They help me get jewelry that my parents left us. So we can insure it. A+++ company.

Love Love Love Sue Nelson! She has done absolutely everything for me! I found this place after needing a watch engraved on the back for my boss. No ONE would do this engraving until I found Sue. She did the engraving for like $10, and it looked awesome. I then went back to her to update my wedding rings for a push present. I can't even explain everything she did for me. She absolutely went above and beyond, helping me design it! We combined my wedding and engagement ring together, and it turned out AMAZING! I'm so sad Sue is retiring, but I definitely will still use this jewelry store for all my jewelry purchases.

Bob Nelson of Nelson's Jewelry was wonderful! He worked with me to craft a unique new past, present, future ring utilizing the marquis stone from my wife's original 20 year old engagement ring. He was committed to my satisfaction and scoured his suppliers for the right setting, all while staying close to my conservative price range. I also am proud to support a local business who cares where their diamonds come from - so much, in fact, that they traveled to South Africa and toured the mines, etc. and have remained committed to the region ever since.

Bob and his staff are great and really helped me find the perfect ring. A very nice local jewelry store that does not try to just sell you anything. They take the time to educate as well. Could not be happier with my choice of Nelson's jewelry.

Nellson Jewelers has been the go-to place for us. I purchased a CZ ring in a good quality silver/platinumsetting. I wore it for a year and one day noticed a big gouge on the side and a stone missing. I didn't even remember doing it and yet it was substantial damage. I thought that maybe the manufacturer would fix it up a bit. Nellson's thought they would replace it for free, and they did. I know it cost them money to ship it and keep track of the repair, and was impressed they did that all for free. They continue to win my loyalty.

Had a great experience here! I was recommended by a friend after I was gifted an old ring from my Aunt. Jennifer helped my now-fiance and I out every step of the way and we are both very pleased with the result! The center stone was originally a marquis cut, so we were able to get that removed since I prefer the princess cut. Jennifer then found a few princess cut diamonds that we were able to examine and ultimately choose the best one for the setting (and the price point). She kept in contact with us and was very knowledgeable - we went in not knowing too much about buying diamonds but she was able to simply explain the process and all the details. Our entire experience was wonderful, and we felt like we were getting personalized service that other "box" jewelry stores probably wouldn't provide. Another nice gesture is that they provide a percentage off my fiance's ring if I buy through them as well! We will be returning soon. Thank you to Nelson's and specifically Jennifer! She made something that could possibly have been stressful into an exciting experience.

We shopped several retail outlets for diamond earrings and came by Nelson's somewhat by accident. We found them to be very friendly, very interested in teaching what to look for and very willing to listen to what we wanted. The prices and value seemed very good. We ended up buying here and they changed the setting for us. Highly recommended.

This is the ONLY jewelry store in Crystal Lake that I shop at. There are many others with bigger stores and better selections, but none have the friendly service and wonderful people that Nelson's has. As a matter of fact, they have some of the best customer service I've encountered at any store. Highly recommended!
