Supposedly it is the best hotel in Cuba, especially in Havana. When I booked an already expensive room, it turned out that there is no transfer service from the airport. Even if you pay. The opposite is stated on the website of the hotel offered externally by the Melia group. So I booked a suite for about $330 a night. Three nights at the beginning of my trip, three more nights at the end after 14 days. So six nights. Again I tried to book a transfer. As I found out from an employee, a transfer in this price range is always included, even free of charge. But that was turned down by the reservations department because they had to book minimum nights in suites. These happen to be 4 consecutive nights. My 6 nights were not connected. I found out later that because they don't have a car or driver, they don't follow the global company's website. They also forgot to tell me that in this booking class I can use certain benefits free of charge (like a club area where you can get drinks and snacks). So I paid for everything separately during the first stay. On the second stay, this part of the booking was explained to me. That was contractual. The suite consisted of two rooms with two bathrooms joined together. I was very happy with that. Likewise with the cleaning of the already aging building and its no longer very new or beautiful furniture. Due to the lack of food, they could not bring me a pizza. They have already delivered 11 pizzas. More were not possible that day. If you want to drink a glass of wine, you get the house brand, the smell of which alone is like vinegar. Otherwise you have to order another wine. There was only one Chardonnay, bottle-only, priced at $75. I didn't take that. Due to the very grueling stay I ordered the bottle after all. I was informed that the bottle had been sold. I was offered another white wine for $60 and delivered to the suite. All my attempts to meet the director have been thwarted. You didn't want that. Apologies were made for any inconvenience, but nothing was ever changed. Later I was referred to a car rental company because the hotel itself does not have one and does not work with anyone. In this respect, this offer on the website is also fake. In the car rental on the property of a lower class neighboring hotel, I was offered a vehicle in front of the sales booth. Condition: $600 as a gift to book a small vehicle for $600. Virtually nothing works without bribery or payment of money. During the second stay the situation improved. There wasn't a lot to eat, but there was always enough. I was able to use the club facilities, so I could drink coffee, etc. The staff in the separate breakfast and club area was very friendly, plentiful and helpful. This area also has a separate check-in that works very well. The staff at the general reception in the hotel lobby, on the other hand, are consistently unfriendly, never smile and consistently turn you away. For six nights, the room cost was around $1,800 or a little more. This is only justified by the size of the room (suite), in no case by the service, benefits, let alone the location in the diplomatic district. A cheap coffee machine was offered, but no coffee, no coffee spoon. Just two teabags of a tea that tasted like nothing. I'm glad I travel with my own tea. Food is of the simplest nature. The pictures show a meal, the suite's doorway and its condition, or the "bar". Mini bar was not offered. You have to constantly pay 25 euros for a taxi to get into town. Four times a day, 100 euros are quickly gone. Since I found the first three days really annoying and a strain, I can't advise anyone to book this hotel at such a price, but rather accept the problems and stay cheaper and more central. This hotel is a disgrace for the Melia group, although it's not a luxury class anyway. More Spanish or South American tourists are probably approached here, and the majority of airline staff live here.

My wife and I spent a long weekend in Havana to celebrate our 30 year anniversary. I reserved a Level suite and was pleasantly surprised. The room is huge with 2 full bathrooms and a desk should one want to work. This suite included access to the bistro on the 9th floor where breakfast, finger food and a few drinks are included (at no additional cost). The pool hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. which is a bit restrictive. Also, bring your credit card or cash if you plan to order drinks from the pool bar as it's impossible to charge it to your room ?!? (reason unknown). Only one of the pools was open but the crowd was small enough to make it OK. Make sure to reserve ahead of time for the spa. It was full when I tried but I went to Vida Spa 5 minutes away and it was great. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back there next time we go to Havana. The staff was very kind and helpful. The concierge service is second to none. Alberto and Joel were extremely helpful.

The Hotel Meliá Habana is a five-star hotel located in the exclusive Miramar neighborhood of Havana, Cuba. While it boasts excellent service and facilities, it is situated a bit far from the city center, making it a less than ideal location for those looking to explore the city's most popular attractions. The hotel's exterior is grand and imposing, with a modern design that stands out from the surrounding buildings. However, once you step inside, you will notice that the decor is somewhat dated, with a 90s vibe that may not appeal to all guests. The lobby is spacious and bright, with large windows that let in plenty of natural light. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and you can expect a warm greeting upon arrival. The rooms at the Hotel Meliá Habana are spacious and comfortable, with plenty of natural light and modern amenities. However, the decor is once again dated, with beige walls and patterned carpeting that may not be to everyone's taste. The beds are comfortable, and you can expect a good night's sleep thanks to the soundproof windows that block out any noise from the street. One of the most significant downsides to the Hotel Meliá Habana is its location. It is situated a bit far from the city center, meaning that it can take some time to get to the most popular attractions. While there is a shuttle service available to take you to Old Havana, it only runs a few times a day, and you may find that you need to take a taxi to get around. This can add up quickly, making the hotel an expensive option for those looking to explore the city. On the plus side, the hotel offers excellent service, with friendly and attentive staff who go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The restaurants on site are also top-notch, with a range of options to suit all tastes. The buffet breakfast is particularly impressive, with a wide selection of hot and cold dishes to choose from. The hotel's facilities are also impressive, with a large outdoor pool and a well-equipped gym for those looking to stay active during their stay. The spa offers a range of treatments, including massages and facials, and there is also a beauty salon on site. In conclusion, while the Hotel Meliá Habana is a fantastic hotel with great service and facilities, its location is a significant drawback. If you don't mind being a bit far from the city center and are willing to pay for taxis or use the hotel's shuttle service, then it could be an excellent option. However, if you are looking to be in the heart of the action, then you may want to consider other options. Overall, if you value great service and facilities over location, then the Hotel Meliá Habana could be a great choice for your stay in Havana.

Stayed here many times over the last couple of years. Definitely one of the best hotels in Havana and has a very all-inclusive feel to it. Keep in mind that you’re in Cuba, so a 5 Star here is more like a 4 star in North America. The WiFi is a little annoying to log onto each time and it can only be used on one device at a time. If you don’t use it for 5 mins, it automatically logs you out. The gym is decent. You feel like you’re in the 80s but it has all the basic equipment for a good workout. Pool area is also really good and big. The food is OK. Breakfast is really good with lots of options. Rooms are good quality as well. The beds are kind of firm but I like it like that. There’s 2 tennis courts in the back and there’s coaches there who’ll play or teach you for quite cheap ($10 US). You can find them in the gym area or inquire there to book a lesson.

I could not stay here when I was living in Cuba. You have to be from another country to be able to enjoy this place that the Cuban people is not allowed to enjoy. All proceeds from this Hotel go to abuse the Cuban people. Do Not Stay Here!

Terrible place. The hotel service is a major disappointment. After i checked in and got my room. they never sent my luggage to my room. After a whole 2 hours of waiting, I had to go downstairs and grab my luggage. It's just a bad place.

Nice hotel in general. Rooms are spacious, wide big bed with TV. The only cons would be the location, that is a bit far from downtown Havana. Helpful staff and can speak English. Breakfast is good with a wide variety of things to eat. Overall nice and clean hotel. Would recommend it.

Both good and bad. The good: Room cleanliness, spacious hotel, big pool. The bad: Restaurants are under stocked, more so than any other restaurant outside the hotel. Service at restaurants is very bad. The staff has a terrible attitude, are extremely slow to take your order, won’t follow up, food takes a long time, even when not busy, paying the bill takes forever. Food overall is below average, don’t be fooled by the beautiful picture online. Maybe a few years ago it was the best, that’s not the case today. DONT CONSIDER ANY OF THE TWO RESTAURANTS, DINE OUT. The pool is big and beautiful but under maintained, green mold everywhere.

What a disastrous meal. Total joke. Abysmal service and shabby food. Two hours to bring us food with the disinterested waiter showing up every 20 mins to tell us that they had ran out of some dish and then an hour later the same dish was served to the table next to us who arrived after us. Total shambles. Nightmare. Do not go there if you can avoid it.

Located on the sea shore, a somewhat old but very well kept building with large halls giving the feeling of openness, this hotel is good! Great breakfast, excellent views, very friendly and well trained staff are some of the good things. Two areas where this hotel needs to work more is the system of payment (only CC and no cash), and quality of rooms. Overall recommended 👍.

Everything was perfect. I have been staying at this hotel every time I go to Cuba every three months all those bad reviews I don’t know what are they talking about, you get what you pay for ,if you want to get better service and better everything pay for it ,I stay at the level Floor 7,8,9 I Have no complaints they treat me like royalty. The service is great and the breakfast buffet is the best all you can drink beer all day and snacks. Plus if you are going to stay the whole day in your room with your Jinetera of course, their restaurants are not the best, but there’s a lot of good restaurants and the surroundings of the hotel with very good food and service. There is a lot to enjoy otherwise forget about your Jinetera and go to Dominican republic or Mexico or Hawaii.

We stayed at this hotel on June for our honeymoon, and I want to say thank you to Madelaine and the manager on duty the day we arrived. They made sure our stay was very pleasant. I also have to say every time we went for breakfast the cook on duty was such a sweetheart. Always had a smile and eager to interact with the guests. The only negative thing I have to say is I really don’t like how security harrasses guest, if the hotel wants to keep track of who’s staying and who’s not they should try a different system perhaps. Other than that everything was amazing.

This is a good hotel for a first time in Havana. Clean, safe, good food. The place is not cheap but the standards are good. Check in is very strict for 3:00 pm. The room is comfortable and with good services. Internet worked decently around the hotel. There are various restaurants in the property with good food. Remember to bring European adaptors to connect your devices, in case you come from USA, Canada, Latin America or UK for example. If you did not bring yours they have available in the business center but you need to leave a deposit. The beach and the pool area are beautiful. If you want to go to the city center you will need a taxi, but the hotel also has a free shuttle.

But there is a lot of unnecessary luxury. The location is a bit far from the center. Since the taxi fees are high, it is inconvenient for people who drive into the city more often. Visitors can only be received in the hotel lobby.

It was an excellent experience as of Joel, staff next to reception who helps above and beyond. He arranged and helped us to plan our trip when our tour guide did not show up. Hence, as of him, we did not waste a day there, he made it a productive and amazing. I will definitely recommend and refer to other my known to stay at the hotel. Other staff members are respectful and we feel safe.

(Translated by Google) It is something truly curious and that is why I want to draw attention to what happened. I have been a customer of this hotel for many years. When I'm not staying, I usually visit him frequently. Last week just inaugurating the opening of the outdoor bar (after the opening of Havana) I was his first customer to consume in that same outdoor bar. I often visit this bar to watch football matches with friends and family (consuming high-value drinks). In previous matches they used to charge 10 cuc (cover). Yesterday he visited the establishment and they told me that if I want to see the game this Saturday (24 Oct) Madrid & Barcelona; I would have to pay 15 cuc per person including 2 drinks, game time at 10 am. The day I visit the store just opening as I mentioned before, the employees tell me that they were encouraging customers to visit them and were encouraging their stores to return to normal and with the influx of customers that a business of this height needs. My question is simple, are you really trying to keep customers with these prices? Is this cover necessary in the situation that all businesses are living in Havana and with the competition that exists? Of course my opinion of this hotel has changed. Maybe I won't even visit him again. Of course, my comments to acquaintances in Havana would be very different in this case.

Friendly service, this hotel has a lot of space and a big pool for entertainment. Room is big and cozy, but lacks of a table in case of sitting to use your laptop.. TV at room is very tricky to make it work.. Nice view of sunsets at 19:49 looking towards the coast..but be aware that there are a lots of mosquitos ar the pool, restaurant at that time.. Breakfast is served ar 07:00 but you may go to hotels cafe as early alternative just in case. Bring your 220V adapter and possibly a PDU, there are not many power outlet available in the room. It's about 45~50min walk to El Malecón Overall a very nice experience,
