Lakewood Off-Leash Dog Area
Dog park
ππ My dog and I love Lakewood Dog Park. It has a lot to offer. You can walk through the woods or your dog can play in the wide open field in the entrance. The scenery is beautiful especially at sunrise and sunset.

Ray Lake Forest Preserve
Nature preserve
ππ Absolutely love this forest preserve! So gorgeous and usually uncrowded. So peaceful whether you want to hike, run, bike, etc. There is a loop here of around 2.4 miles plus connected to a lot of other trails to go really far if you wanted.

Singing Hills Forest Preserve
Nature preserve
ππ Lovely trail with gently rolling hills (not many of them were singing when I was there). Crushed limestone. Not much shade. Plenty of parking and restrooms at the trailhead. Only 1 bench between trailhead and Gilmer Road (3 mile round trip). Saw a pair of Sandhill Cranes.
