A mansion built in 1720 by the governor of Cuba Don Luis Chacón. Overall cool exhibitions. There is a balcony on the second floor where you can overlook the plaza. A staff walked us from room to room. Rooms are blocked by rope. She removed the rope let us in, and explained the displays of each room. The entrance is free but the staff asked for a donation at the end.

As the name suggests, this building is home to a colonial art museum. The mansion dates back to 1720 when it was built by Don Luis Chacón, governor of Cuba. The home is constructed around an elegant courtyard and is one of Havana’s outstanding examples of early Colonial domestic architecture.

Condes de Casa Bayona Palace it's a house from the 17th century CE. According to historical records, it’s the oldest building in the heart of Old Havana. This magnificent house is located on Plaza de la Catedral. Condes de Casa Bayona was rebuilt in 1720 C.E. Still remains in the same architectural shape until today. In my opinion - Museo de Arte Colonial it's the unbelievable gem amongst all museums in Havana. The museum has an incredibly impressive collection of art from the colonial period in Cuba. You may see there: valuable ceramic tableware, tablecloths, colonial furniture. Stone and marble sculptures, stained glass, oil lamps including horse wagon lamps. Important information - you can take photos at Museo de Arte Colonial but without using the flash. Toilets available. Museo de Arte Colonial definitely must be seen. I admired in February 2018.

Museo del Arte Colonial - Colonial Art Museum It is located in the oldest building in Old Havana, the Palacio de los Condes de Casa Bayona (Palace of the Counts of the House of Bayona), built in 1720 by the governor of Cuba, Don Luis Chacón. A small museum that displays colonial furniture and decorative items. Among the most beautiful exhibits are porcelains depicting scenes from colonial Cuba, an ornate floral collection, and several colonial-era dining sets. Also noteworthy is the garage, which preserves vehicles related to Cuba's colonial history. Among them, a luxurious "quitrín" stands out, a horse-drawn carriage that dates back to the 19th century. typical of the 19th century Caribbean world.

Historical area that's been locked up for sixty years and now open for you. So much to see on Carnival Cruise to Cuba from Tampa. On the Paridise ship that was beautiful. I'd like to go back but visa only allows 24hrs. Ported, went a shore to Hemingway Hideaway and walk the streets, went to small bars and cigar shops. All interesting and money exchange was easy. Best CobaLibra and Mojito's of ever tasted! ! !

A surprising find. The museum was a real gem with some excellent exhibits. Our guide was extremely informative and understood a great deal about the exhibits. I'd strongly recommend it and enjoyed it greatly.

It's a cool place. One girl from the staff knew English so it was very helpful and I could enjoy the exhibition. Museum shows how the Spanish aristocracy lived during the colonial time.

Entrada a solo 3CUC. Gran vista ala Catedral.
