Very well maintained tourist experience, probably the best thing to see while you are in Viñales. This is a one-direction short trail through the mountain (mogote) — the first half is walking, and the second half is via a short boat ride. The whole experience is currently 150 CUP for tourists, and 75 CUP for locals.

Indian Cave or Cueva del Indio in Vinales Valley, located some 4 km north of Viñales in the Valle de la Guasasa is well-developed for tourists, with lights and a boat tour. The cave is well-developed for tourists, with lights and a boat tour. Big wide concrete stairs and walkways made these caves very easy going. Plenty of opportunities to buy souvenirs on your way out.

(Translated by Google) After a huge walk through the valley we arrive at the cave of Palmarito, an impressive cave. I had never visited the interior of an endorheic basin in Cuba. Walk inside the cave while avoiding the pools of clear and icy waters to reach a natural pool and dive for 5 minutes in those waters. It really was something incredible. Just be careful because many times unscrupulous people charge admission.

Don't bother, just skip and spend more time at your beautiful lunch spot. Think diesel motor boat ride inside a cave, breathing fumes whilst being told to use your imagination to see figures in the rock formations. Not a single mention of the science behind them.

A beautiful spot of Viñales. A magnificent cave, very well preserved so far. Need to paid more attention for maintaining in a closest future. The local community should be more careful with its legacy!

(Translated by Google) Was there in January 2020 and it was free and possible without a guide. Very nice walk to the cave and back :) When you arrive at the cave you should have a flashlight, there is only one way that leads in so you can't get lost. At the end you meet water and yes, we went swimming there and it was really a great experience, I recommend it is something different :) We were lucky that there was another small group and we could hold the light for each other for bathing fun: D (Original) War im Januar 2020 dort und es war kostenlos und ohne Guide möglich.

Short, but pretty fun. After a small walk down and through a couple rock rooms you end up getting on a boat for a short ride. The whole thing is maybe 20 to 30 minutes

This place reminded me of the cave at Rudy Falls in Tennessee! The only difference was this cave had a pretty cool boat ride at the end, and there wasn't a line of people coming back the opposite way like the cave in Tennessee! I also liked the little water at the end of the cave! It would have been nice if the river that is the deepest inside the cave could be followed further down the stream once it exit the cave! There is also a big waterfalls inside the cave just like the one at Rudy Falls, but it's not lit like Ruby Falls! This was a nice outing!

Great experience!!? The boat ride will take a little waiting because there's only 1 or 2 running and it's becoming a positive tourist spot.

The trip from Havana worth. Nature at its best. A “small” cave (appr. 150m) which ends at a small river in which boats brings you at the entrance of it.

It is beautiful! Cueva del Indio is a great stop, especially for kids. This is not adventure caving, but a short walk and a boat ride that is just right! Also, try the croquettas at the associated restaurant -- they're delicious!

Fun experience, you walk into the cave and exit on a boat. We all enjoyed this.

This is a fairly small cave and nothing too adventurous. There are walkways and steps built within the cave underneath the formations, so you can walk through easily. There is a small boat ride at the end of the cave to come out. The cave overall is just about average I would say but I am saying this comparing it to the cave systems in Budapest which are arguably one of the best in the world. In the beginning, there is a small stall that sells sugarcane juice with rum! Make sure you try that....

Entrance cost equivalent to $5 per person. Prior to entrance of cave, there is an Indian presentation. The cave itself has a tight squeeze or two for anyone over 6 feet and over 250 lbs., but worth the walk. There is also a boat ride inside the cave towards the end. After the visiting the cave, there is a souvenir shop and a ride on an ox (extra costs). Overall, a beautiful place to visit.

It was a nice short experience.Had a few drinks at the bar afterwards. Our Guide planned our arrival at the least crowded time (around 1330)and it all flowed well. It's worth your time if you are visiting the area. 10.2019 | Cueva del Indio

We visited the location on 15.06.2022. Location is also accessible by bike, being only 7 km from Vinales. The cave is not very big, but it's nice to visit. The boat trip at the end felt like being on Charon's boat, without the soul searching implications. If in the area, do consider visiting the cave.

Huge cave full of stalagmites where there is an underground river you can take a boat ride along. Can get wet and slippery within the cave so tread carefully.

(Translated by Google) Admission: 2cuc including guide. The stalactite cave itself is walkable up to about 250 meters, until you arrive at an underground lake. Swimming is possible there. Sounds better than it actually is, as many tourists are carted on horses. The water is dirty and flashlights are not issued. (Original) Eintritt: 2cuc inklusive Guide.

5 CUC for one person entrance is to much for swimming just 5 minutes in a dark cave.
